"⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (3/5) I recently stayed at Figtree Hotel, and overall, it was an average experience with both positives and areas that need improvement. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I really appreciated that they changed my room upon request. My first room had no window, so being moved to a room with natural light made my stay much more comfortable. The hotel’s location is also convenient and made it easy to get around the city. Unfortunately, there were a few issues that affected my experience. The Wi-Fi was unreliable throughout my stay, which was frustrating. Breakfast was also disappointing, as there was very little variety and it mainly consisted of Filipino dishes. It would be great to have more options for international guests. Another inconvenience was the room service process. The phone in my room wasn’t working, so I had to go to the 5th floor every time I wanted to place a food order. Since there was also a room service delivery fee, I ended up carrying my own food back to my room, which defeated the purpose of ordering room service. Overall, the staff were accommodating, the location was good, and I appreciated that my room was changed when I raised my concern. However, improvements to the Wi-Fi, breakfast variety, and room service system would make a significant difference to the guest experience."

"We had a pleasant stay at MO2 Westown Hotel Iloilo. The hotel smells really nice and feels clean as soon as you walk in, which we appreciated. The location is also very convenient since it’s close to many restaurants, making it easy to find places to eat. The only downside we experienced was finding a small cockroach in the bathroom, which was a bit disappointing. Hopefully, this is something they can improve on. Overall, it was still a good stay, and we enjoyed our time."

"A nice, home stay style hotel. There was only a fan in the room, but it was quite strong and more than enough. The owner was very friendly and beach was across the street. "there’s honestly nothing to complain about with this hotel. everything was amazing from the room to the staff and the overall experience. we also had so much fun at the foam party it was definitely one of the highlights of our stay! they even surprised my boyfriend with a complimentary birthday setup which was such a thoughtful touch. we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back. 🫶🏻"

"Food was incredible, best breakfast buffet I've ever had at a hotel. Rooms are lovely if a little comedic. The whole hotel was beautiful. The pool view was incredible. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The gym was a little small but my brother thought it did the job."

"Henan Lagoon is the best; this is my second stay, and they always do their best to serve well. All staff are friendly and very accommodating. Clean towels are provided daily along with beach towels. The buffet breakfast is great, though we usually just eat bread in the morning. I love staying here. It’s worth the price. They also offer tours for island hopping. Highly recommend!"

Pros The hotel is in a great location. It is right on the beach. Restaurants, bars and stores were all right outside hotel. As you walk out of hotel, you will be bombarded with people selling you things: hair braiding, excursions, seafood, tattoos, bracelets, massages… etc but that’s everywhere on the beach. Hotel staff were great!  They surprised my son with a birthday song and a treat on his birthday. We didn’t even let them know it was his birthday, so they must have noticed on his passport. They took photos and videos of this nice surprise. Upon checkout, hotel also gave us personalize bracelets as thank you gifts. Swimming pool was nice and not too busy. Breakfast was not bad. Lots of options. Great breakfast view.  Cons Our room was really far. We booked for 4 but only had 2 towels in the room. Had to request for more towels as well as hand towels and floor towels as the room don’t have any. Water pressure was terrible. At some point, there was no water coming out of the faucet at all. We couldn’t shower or wash our hands. Staff were super accommodating and changed our room the next day. 2nd room was closer and much newer looking. Water pressure was good but now wifi was not working.

We had an amazing stay at Savoy Hotel Boracay during our anniversary! From the moment we arrived, everyone made us feel genuinely welcome with their warm smiles and greetings every day. The hotel surprised us with a beautiful anniversary room setup—a lovely swan towel arrangement shaped into a heart, balloons, a complimentary cake, and a heartfelt anniversary greeting card. It was such a thoughtful gesture that made our celebration even more special. We also loved the convenience of the complimentary shuttle service to D’Mall and, most especially, the seamless airport-hotel-airport transfer. Everything was well-organized and hassle-free, making our trip stress-free from start to finish. We’d also like to give a special shoutout to the reception staff member who was on the 10:00 PM–6:00 AM shift (July 13). We weren’t able to get his name, but he went above and beyond for us. Our Pitik sa Keyhole photo hadn’t arrived before we checked out, and he proactively offered to personally send it to us via LBC. He took our contact details and handled everything for us without us even asking. That level of initiative and genuine care is something we truly appreciate. Thank you, Savoy Hotel Boracay, for making our anniversary so memorable. Your excellent service and thoughtful hospitality made us feel truly special. We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit Boracay. Highly recommended! ❤️

I would like to commend and thank Belmont Boracay Hotel for being warm and accommodating with us during our stay. It was a memorable time for the family especially to our daughter who celebrated her birthday there. They made my daughter's birthday extra special with their complimentary cake and greetings set up in our room. It was a good surprise for her. When I first arrived, I found the hotel wasn't as stunning as I'd imagined, mainly because the architecture felt too modern and not like a resort. However, the hotel's excellent service soon became apparent. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, which made the vacation feel more like a true getaway. Breakfast was simply amazing. The pool connects directly to the beach and the ocean, and the hotel even has its own private bay. There are three restaurants at the hotel, and the food was outstanding and reasonably priced. The rooms were also quite good. The hotel offers airport transfers, but they're a bit expensive. The location is somewhat remote; while the hotel does provide shuttle service to D'Mall, the frequency is limited.

I keep on coming back to this hotel whenever I am in Aklan and still gets amazed with the coordinated work of the employees and how they exceeded my expectations. Coast’s best assets are not just the location, timely airport transfer, their Filipino breakfast buffet, but most of all—-its employees. Thank you to Zel, Mercy, the concierge, Vea, Bryan/drivers, the guys who helped take care of us while on the beach, and I forgot the other names but— to everyone who made our stay really pleasantly memorable, thank you!

The best hotel to stay at Boracay station 2, we are given a room beside the pool tho its far from lobby but still we enjoyed it specially the kids, staff are helpful but so sad they dont provide free tote bag anymore but still overall a satisfying and 10/10 experience staying at this 5⭐️ hotel

t’s a good hotel but a little bit tired. We had big room with 2 comfortable beds. The view was so-so- on the roof, but one day we saw monkeys there - it was fun ! The territory of the hotel is very beautiful- a lot of plants, trees and flowers. The staff is very polite, friendly and helps with any questions. The breakfast is quite good - eggs, pancakes, vegetables, fruits, fresh juice, coffee- in common we had all what we need. We like swimming pool - it’s big and beautiful. The beach of Movenpick is good too, but it was bad weather, so unfortunately we couldn’t enjoy it as well. And of course we liked chocolate hour - it was so tasty !

I expected more, especially knowing that this is a 5-star hotel. The linens had visible stains, and there were some cleanliness issues that were overlooked. I reported these to the front desk for future reference. They acknowledged my concern, but they didn't offer to change the linens or send housekeeping to check the room. (I'm not expecting any compensation. It would've just been a nice gesture if they were more proactive.) Room 308 also needs some maintenance. The AC was leaking and wasn't cooling that well. The shower heater wasn't working properly, the vanity chair was broken and almost detached, and the luggage rack near the TV was already worn out and had stains. (These issues didn't really affect my stay that much, but I think they should still be addressed. If another guest, especially a foreigner, stays here, they would definitely complain.) I didn't report these issues, even during checkout, because after my first concern, I honestly felt like they would just be ignored. During checkout, I called ahead and requested for someone to inspect the room so the process would be faster. Unfortunately, it seemed like no one was sent. I waited longer than expected—it was supposed to take around 5 minutes, but it took about 8 minutes. They also didn't give me any update. (I think if I hadn't asked for a follow-up, I would've waited even longer.) On the positive side, the breakfast was good. The Lagoon Bar was also great, especially the server there. (I forgot his name, but he's been working there for about 3 years. 😅) Overall, my stay was good. Hoping my next stay feels more like a true 5-star experience. The hotel has great potential, but I think being more proactive with guest concerns, cleanliness, and room maintenance would make a big difference.
