"Stayed at upon vila for 4 nights. First impressions were very good starting with the location which faces the Targus river and a short drive to several restaurants on the sea front. My room was quite big and had several seats and a table and 2 chairs on the balcony. A complimentary bottle of water and some cookies were also waiting in my room. Breakfast times were from 8am - 11am which is great for late risers. First impressions on breakfast was disappointing. They had a few cereals limited fruit and pastries. They only had eggs and bacon for the cooked breakfast and on another day mushrooms. Also the same items were served over the 4 days. It would have been better to vary the menu each day. Overall a pleasant stay but disappointed with breakfast choices."

"Para um Hotel de 5 estrelas achei que as instalações eram de um hotel de 4 estrelas . Este hotel está a precisar de uma remodelação, quer nos quartos, quer no restaurante Salinas, onde são servidos os pequenos almoços. O chão do quarto onde fiquei alojada, tem um revestimento já bastante desgastado, e o sofá está a precisar de ser substituído. Quanto à sala do pequeno almoço, as cadeiras estão praticamente todas com os estofos em baixo. Na minha opinião, deveriam investir na renovaçao das infra-estruturas, porque o Hotel tem uma localização excelente."

"Tryp is a very nice hotel located near the coast which allows you to go out for nice walks along the pathways by the beach. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very nice they had a large mirrors on the wardrobe doors thick were very aesthetic and the toilets were clean. The food they serve is also very nice and cooked well I enjoyed my stay at the hotel and it’s somewhere I plan on staying again."

"Moderne, saubere Zimmer, reichhaltiges Frühstück. Nur mit dem landestypischen Café und Cappuccino habe ich so meine Probleme, schmeckt einfach nur bitter. Großzügiger Spa mit Schwimmbad, Whirlpool, Sauna und Dampfbad im Keller, Tiefgarage inklusive, beste Zimmerdusche ever mit herrlichem Rainshower, den man auch Waterfall nennen könnte, dazu feinste Frottee-Handtücher. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt. Sehr schöner, ruhiger Strand mit Duschen mit Auto gut zu erreichen. Ohne Auto etwas  beschwerlich einige 100 Meter und mit Stufen abwärts. Fazit: absolut empfehlenswert 100%"

I was genuinely surprised by the quality; honestly, I don't understand why it's not rated as 5 stars. From the moment of arrival, the experience was flawless. The decor is elegant, modern, and meticulously detailed, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The rooms are beautiful: modern, clean, extremely comfortable, and equipped with everything needed for a perfect stay. I chose a sea-view room, which was magnificent! The amenities are another strong point, from the outdoor and indoor pools to the gym, which completely exceeded my expectations. It's very well-equipped and a pleasant place to work out. Regarding the gastronomy, everything we tried was of excellent quality. You can tell there's care, consistency, and attention to detail. But the true highlight, without a doubt, is the service. It was simply exceptional. From the reception to the restaurant and bar, the entire team demonstrated professionalism, friendliness, and genuine attention that made all the difference. I truly felt welcomed throughout my stay. A very special thank you to João, the bar manager if I'm not mistaken, whose service was impeccable, extremely professional, attentive to detail, and always available. He truly made a difference in our experience. 100 out of 100! And not to forget the rest of the team, a big thank you. It was a memorable experience. Without a doubt, a hotel to return to.

The location is truly sensational, and having parking included is a nice touch considering how expensive parking can be in Sesimbra. However, the elevator was broken during our stay, so if you use the designated parking spot, be prepared to walk up instead. Unfortunately, we stayed in apartment 102 and there were far too many issues: 1. There was no hot water at all. Even after leaving the water running for quite some time, it never became even slightly warm. 2. The balcony/window door was broken. Since the apartment is on the first floor, this also made us feel that the apartment wasn’t particularly secure. 3. It is extremely noisy. The apartment is directly above a supermarket, with deliveries and other activity happening very late in the evening and again very early in the morning. If you’re a light sleeper, this is definitely something to consider. 4. The balcony and outdoor chairs were very dirty and clearly hadn’t been properly cleaned before our arrival. 5. The main building door is very difficult to open and frequently doesn’t work properly. 6. There is a fake drawer in the room, which is a strange detail and we couldn’t understand its purpose. The other major issue is the description of the property. It advertises a private beach, but there is no private beach. We already knew this because we know Sesimbra and the surrounding area very well, but for someone visiting for the first time, this claim is extremely misleading. It’s a shame because the location itself is fantastic, but apartment 102 needs considerably more attention and maintenance, and the listing should accurately describe what guests are actually getting.

Queríamos reportar uma ocorrência desagradável. Chegamos ao hotel no dia 26.12.2025 às 20 horas e deparamo-nos com uma recepção vazia e um átrio deserto. Aguardamos algum tempo e tentamos chamar alguém, sem sucesso. Passados 20 minutos de espera, sai subitamente de uma porta dissimulada na parede, uma recepcionista apressada que se dirige ao computador, brindando-nos secamente com ”Boa noite”. Respondi ”Boa noite” acrescentando ”estamos há 20 minutos à espera numa recepção deserta”. Tivemos como resposta, de olhos fixos no computador, ”estava na minha pausa de jantar”. Nunca nos tinha acontecido... De resto, o hotel é acolhedor e agradável, e as interações com os restantes funcionários decorreram normalmente, sendo os mesmos profissionais e atenciosos. Recomendamos o hotel, desde que os hospedes possam evitar as ”pausas para refeições” da recepção.

Drove 600kms from Malaga to stay here whilst doing some business in the locale, which was very quiet, like an ex-workers community... so wasn't anticipating or expecting anything 5* I'm sure they did their best but being told no soap is available, although toiletries are listed as free, and to use the pump dispensers, even when the bidet is too far to operate a pump in situ, and to have suggested to fill a cup with liquid soap first....really?? Both the bidet and bath plug leaked, the extractor fan wasn't operating and also the fridge was missing the door shelf retainers, not helpful!! I realise my off-season stay was in February, but I asked if there was room service but was told no, and yet they advertise it?? therefore it would be very welcoming if the coffea/hot drink machine was available for a reasonable time during the day and evening, not just at breakfast and evening meal If that wasn't possible, then for £70 per night I would have appreciated a small travel kettle in my room, as I was happy to supply milk, tea and coffee, but hey ho Probably wouldn't recommend this place or stay here again, staff looked bored during meal service and honestly couldn't blame them, maybe some music, ever?

The whole experience of staying in this hotel was very good. All staff is incredibly nice and helpful. The room was nice and clean and had a small balcony with ocean view which we liked. The gardens of the hotel make the surroundings even nicer. The indoors swimming pool experience was very good, especially after a few hours drive. We watched the football match from the roof top bar, which had amazing views and a really cool vibe. The breakfast was delicious and probably one of the best ones of our whole road trip, a lot of variety and all very tasty. We definitely enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it, either if you are just passing by or to stay for a few days, quality value is really worth it.

It is always so good to be back. Even on a winter day, the hotel makes you feel comfortable. Relaxing landscape in a very large room, with an excellent bed. Water and chocolates are provided as courtesy. The balcony seems to put you inside the countryside, breath in breath out, and take all the fresh air you can. You can even take a bath while you enjoy the view. Breakfast is sublime. Freshly baked eggs on demand, coffee bar with hand made beverages, pastry and fresh fruit with several local items available. All of this while you glance at the infinite pool. You can even have breakfast outside, if it is not to cold.

Impeccable hotel with fantastic rooms. The only thing is that it should have a dental kit because I forgot mine and asked at reception but it was sold out. Otherwise impeccable

I love this hotel and have been there many times throughout the years. It still have the same charm despite the fact that is getting old, however a lot of updates and improvements have been done to keep it up to date. On personal note I will suggest to open the interior pool early. As the opening time it's 10 am. I personally love to swim first thing in the morning, before breakfast and since there is no one from staff in there , they just need to open the door. I ask at the reception but was told it was impossible to do that. So I live the suggestion for the future! Thank you.
