Clean room and excellent location. Robot delivery service very impressive, though we didn't get a chance to experience it or order takeaway food. Breakfast was ok, but not to worry, plenty of stalls selling all sorts of food everywhere outside hotel and nearby. Yummy fried hotcakes stall just outside of hotel with long queues day and night and nice pastry shop closeby.

Bar dan restoran di meja depan sangat bagus , bau pembentungan di bilik mandi adalah sangat kuat saya hanya boleh menyimpan ekzos di atasnya buka dan tutup pintu atau berjalan dan bercakap; mi nasi untuk sarapan sangat wangi, disyorkan untuk menyediakan lebih banyak, mereka telah pergi pada pukul 9 pagi ini secara keseluruhannya, saya berharap penginapan akan menjadi lebih baik dan lebih baik!

We were welcomed by A Fei, who was incredibly kind, welcoming, dependable, and super helpful. He can assist you with literally anything from recommending great restaurants and souvenir shops to finding the best places to buy local goods. He even went as far as asking for discounts from the shop owners for us!
The room was super clean, tidy, and spacious. We originally booked two rooms, but since one was a bit smaller and on the first floor, he upgraded us to a larger room right next to each other so my family wouldn't be separated. He also handled our station transfers and organized our Jade Dragon Snow Mountain tour, which was seamless and very satisfying. The breakfast was good too. Overall, a 10/10 experience!

10/10 will book this hotel again in Kunming!! The location is right smack in the city centre, easy to get around to Nanpibg street by foot (10 mins walk), shuncheng shopping mall. A lot of eateries nearby, no need to worry about it. The hospitality of the staff is also amazing as well, making our stay unforgettable.

Beautiful hotel with stunning views—though it was a pity I didn’t get a sea view room. The staff were incredibly attentive and took great care of us throughout the stay.
When we arrived, we wanted to grab some snacks at the café downstairs, but couldn’t find a seat due to cigarette smoke (my friend is sensitive to it). The team kindly offered us a complimentary afternoon tea instead, which was a lovely gesture.
We had to check out early and missed breakfast, but they thoughtfully packed it to go for us. They also gave great dinner recommendations and arranged smooth transportation. Overall, a very comfortable stay with excellent service.

The hotel is an architectural marvel—beautifully designed and truly memorable. Service overall was excellent, with attentive and helpful staff throughout the property.
Our room was comfortable, and the stay started off promising, but there were a few letdowns. Restaurant service was slow, with dishes arriving out of order, and the food felt overpriced for the quality. Most disappointing was being denied access to the swimming pool—the lifeguard wouldn’t allow us in, saying it was too cold to swim.

AAnonymous UserI recently stayed at this brand-new hotel (opened in 2024), and it was such a nice experience. If you want a place with lots of extras, this is it. They have two pool tables, a small rooftop pool, and two gyms—one for yoga and Pilates with all the equipment, and another with treadmills, bikes, free weights, and even a Smith machine. There’s also a laundry room with washers, which was really handy.
The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices, but you’ll want to arrive early to get the best selection. The staff were all very friendly, but Fei Xiu (绯袖) on WeChat was especially helpful—she answered all my questions quickly and made everything easy.
The location isn’t right on the riverbank near the Starlight Market, but it’s not far from tourist spots either. It’s actually in a good spot if you want a quieter stay while still being close enough to everything.
If you’re looking for a modern, well-equipped hotel with great service, I’d definitely recommend this one!

The bed was very comfortable, and I slept soundly all night, with decent soundproofing too. The owner and other staff were exceptionally warm and welcoming; they even invited guests to join them for tea. They were very patient and helpful with any questions or issues, which made the whole experience very pleasant. The location was also convenient, making it easy to find places to eat and get around. Overall, it was a great experience, and I even came back to stay again later!

UUlysess444The hotel's facilities and services are excellent, with many thoughtful details that really show they care about guests. The way to activate the power is unique; instead of inserting a card into a narrow slot, you place it on a tray with a groove at the bottom, which is much simpler, especially in dim lighting. There are plenty of hangers and various surfaces to place your belongings. The smart room control system is very user-friendly, allowing individual control of lights in different areas. The 'disposable' slippers are fantastic – clean, comfortable, and environmentally friendly. The room has a mix of wooden flooring and small area rugs, offering the comfort of a carpet while being easy to keep clean, which is much better than fully carpeted rooms. The toilet is the best I've encountered in a hotel; the heated seat is just the right temperature, not too hot, and the flush is quiet yet very effective. While the wide front of the seat and the automatic sensor for opening and closing the lid aren't groundbreaking features, they significantly enhance the user experience. The shower controls are a bit unique, with two separate switches for the handheld and overhead showerheads. This means you can't control water flow and temperature simultaneously, but you get used to it. If I had to pick a flaw, it would be the toilet paper – it lacks elasticity and tears easily.

The property is situated among preserved buildings that share the same traditional architectural design, making you feel as though you’ve traveled back in time to the olden days. It’s a perfect blend of history and comfort.
Mr. Wang, the gentleman who manages the place, is incredibly friendly and helpful. He went out of his way to provide excellent advice on where to visit in Dali, which made my trip even more enjoyable.
Overall, this is a hidden gem that offers a unique experience, combining traditional aesthetics with warm hospitality. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable stay in Dali!

From the outside, it looks small and charming, but once you step inside, you'll find it incredibly spacious. The TV is huge, and the air conditioning works perfectly, making for a very comfortable stay overall.
You don't even need to rush out early in the morning to see the snow mountain; the view from downstairs after you wake up is excellent, with virtually no obstructions. The snow-capped peaks look truly magnificent.
The service was outstanding; they helped with luggage and were incredibly responsive to all requests. I loved it!

GGuest UserChoosing this hotel was the best decision I made when visiting Shangri-La! It truly stands out as the best I've experienced in the Napa Lake area, both in terms of facilities and service. From the moment I stepped in, I felt utterly rejuvenated, with the breathtaking beauty of Napa Lake unfolding before my eyes.
The panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows in the room are absolutely stunning! Every morning, the first thing I saw was the expansive grasslands of Napa Lake, the majestic snow-capped mountains, and distant cattle and sheep. Watching the sunrise illuminate Shika Snow Mountain, casting a golden glow over the entire meadow, with livestock grazing leisurely and flocks of birds soaring across the blue sky – every photo taken without a filter looked like a masterpiece.
Whether I was lying in bed, sitting on the sofa, or even just taking a break while doing my makeup, looking up at the healing scenery of the lake and mountains was incredibly soothing. This feeling of being completely enveloped by nature, this sense of tranquility, is truly rare.
My room was fully equipped with water and drinks, but what really impressed me were the high-quality toiletries. Their individual packaging and thoughtful selection made me feel very comfortable! The provided bathrobes were also the softest I've ever encountered in a hotel, and the pillows were incredibly comfortable. It was a rare and peaceful night's sleep I got outside my own home!
Every part of the hotel's public area is meticulously designed! The large floor-to-ceiling windows and Tibetan-style soft furnishings, paired with plush cushions, create a perfect ambiance. Sitting by the fireplace, sipping a latte, and watching the sunset outside the window truly sets the mood.
The breakfast was also a delightful surprise! The freshly prepared Across the Bridge Noodles had fresh and abundant ingredients. And the exquisite afternoon tea, with chocolate cake, freshly cut fruit, and iced Americano, enjoyed slowly in the sunshine, was pure bliss!
The fireplace at night was simply magical! Gathering around it for warmth, enjoying snacks and drinks, with the soft yellow firelight reflecting the night outside – chatting with friends or simply daydreaming – it was the ideal vacation experience.
From its hardware to its service, and from its scenery to every little detail, this hotel truly excels. If you come to Shangri-La, you absolutely must stay here! Let all the romance and relaxation be found in this snowy mountain grassland, in this divine hotel hidden amidst the beautiful scenery. It will undoubtedly be an unforgettable experience!!! Highly recommended!

Environment: The soundproofing was pretty good. Around 10 PM, I could hear some people outside shouting slogans, perhaps doing a formation drill or something. The street was lively, but all other sounds were well-isolated.
Service: Quite good. The auntie was very enthusiastic, and the young lady at the front desk was also lovely.

OOlive GohWhen I started planning our itinerary for our 15 day Yunnan holiday, I plotted out our path to go all the way up to Shangri-la, back down to Kunming and then to Jiaozi Snow Mountain and Dongchuan Red Land. Then I chanced upon a video of Aini Garden and fell in love! The only reason we came to Pu'er was to get to Aini. This was the first place I booked, and I really took a chance because it has a no cancellation policy and I really had to stick to the date once it was made.
The initial pre-arrival experience was less than pleasant. I didn't know how we were going to get to the manor and my WeChat messages went unanswered. The hotel we stayed at in Pu'er finally got in touch with someone and got them to message me. I asked how we could get there and the answer was a curt ”take a taxi or charter a car”. No pleasantries of ”we look forward to seeing you” or offering to arrange a car.
When we arrived, no one was at reception and no one came out. Our driver was so perplexed he wondered if we were in the right place and if the place was open. Finally a young girl came out and registered us in. There was an air of aloofness from everyone else. However, once we were checked in, things warmed up quickly. We were offered coffee and freshly cut papaya and had a nice introduction chat with the lady staff.
The bedroom and bathroom is well appointed, spacious and comfortable. We would have enjoyed sitting on the balcony if the chairs were more comfortable. I love the floor to ceiling glass windows but the panel above the door should also be glass (it is just netting) so traffic sounds from the road actually comes through at night. I actually wanted to book the cottage in the hills but opted for the standard room in the main house because I was worried it would be cold. Big regret as it is actually magnificently located with stunning views. However take note that you will need to call for a buggy ride or make a 1km hike every time you want to eat or get to the main house. If you are self driving, no issues as you can park right next to the cottage. Anyway it's a small price to pay for an unlimited view of the milky way and seclusion.
This is as close to a Ryokan experience as you can get in China, minus the hot springs. 3 days 2 nights of blissful, carefree living is not quite enough. They make sure they feed you well, with the freshest produce available for hotpot dinner and home-cooked Yunnanese dishes for lunch. There are so many activities organised, from taking you up the mountain for a glimpse of sunrise (with mountain goats for company ❤️) to coffee plantation education tour to horseback riding along the mountain ridges (the view is spectacular!) to scavenging for wild vegetables and fruits to drinking, dancing and singing around the campfire! So much to do, so little time!
One area of improvement I personally would like to see is the coffee serving. They tend to be quite snobbish about how their coffee is taken. Neat, with nothing else. Asking for sugar or milk feels nearly scorned upon. Coffee is a versatile drink and can be savoured in a huge variety of ways. How else is Starbucks so successful? I felt kind of stifled and deprived because I love a good latte and had looked forward to enjoying an unlimited indulgence of coffee throughout our stay.
Anyhow, I love the ecotourism efforts here. It feels natural and unpretentious. I love the people and the camaraderie they cultivate. I especially enjoyed talking to their consultant 敬梅, a beautiful lady with extensive knowledge in Yunnan culture and ecological progress. Also thank you to 徐芳 for arranging transport back to town and giving helpful recommendations. We hope to return again.

This trip to Lijiang was specifically for the Banyan Tree. I've been to Lijiang countless times, but this time I just wanted to find a secluded paradise to relax for a few days.
Banyan Tree consistently maintains its high service standards. Upon arrival, someone helped with my luggage and offered a welcome drink. The room service and dining staff were also incredibly professional. Because I was in a hurry the next day, the hotel specifically delivered my meal to my room and also gifted me an afternoon tea by the fire pit and a milk foot soak.
Due to the excellent service at Banyan Tree, I preferred to spend every day and all my money at the hotel, ordering from the hotel's restaurants, getting spa treatments, and even booking their travel photography service.
Many thanks to Banyan Tree for their family-like service. From the front desk to the concierge to room service, everything deserves a perfect score.

The environment was beautiful, and the rooftop terrace offered stunning views of the Cangshan sunrise and sunset, overlooking the ancient city – truly delightful. The room was bathed in warm sunlight, and enjoying tea while gazing at the ancient city from the bay window was a real treat. The owners were incredibly kind, warm, and genuine, always ready to help with any request. They gave us practical tips and food recommendations that didn't disappoint. There's also a very friendly dog named Wangcai and two adorable cats. When we left, they even helped us with our checked luggage, showing genuine care for their guests. I'll definitely recommend this place to friends and will choose it again if I ever return. I'm currently in a Lijiang B&B, unable to sleep, and the contrast makes me miss that place even more – it had a special kind of warmth.
