Modern Technology: The inclusion of a Smart TV with seamless access to streaming platforms like Netflix and YouTube significantly enhanced the in-room entertainment experience. Property Ambience: The hotel maintains a highly pleasant olfactory branding strategy; a subtle, welcoming fragrance is consistently present from the main lobby through to the guest corridors. Areas for Improvement (Operational & Service Delivery) Front Desk Engagement: There was a noticeable lack of welcoming engagement from the reception staff during both the check-in and check-out processes. While operations were functional, a more hospitable and customer-centric demeanor would greatly improve the arrival and departure experience. Rigid Housekeeping Policies: When requesting an additional towel, I was informed by housekeeping that this would incur an extra fee. Charging for basic linens feels counterintuitive to a premium guest experience and lacks a guest-first approach. Management Outlook: There appears to be a systemic complacency regarding guest relations, potentially driven by high occupancy rates and strong business demand. High volume should not compromise standard hospitality practices. Conclusion The physical property is in excellent condition, which ultimately guaranteed a comfortable and productive stay. While the hardware of the hotel is top-tier, the software specifically staff hospitality and guest policies requires refinement. The location is truly remote and the lack of a clear signboard makes it tricky to find. While the rooms are notably large and the 8km distance to Padang Besar is accurate, there are visible cracks in several rooms. Fine for a basic, roomy stay, but needs maintenance.

The best thing about the hotel is its location if you’re needing to catch the ferry to Langkawi. Only 50 meters away. The hotel is in close proximity to a mosque so there will be regular calls heard. However I don’t believe that there would be a singular hotel in this town out of earshot. Cleanliness was good. Good working shower. No jug with tea and coffee. Linen provided was clean and appeared in good condition. Overall a good stay.

The location was also convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions, restaurants, and shops. Overall, this is one of the best rest houses we’ve stayed in. We truly enjoyed our time here and would definitely return. Highly recommended for families and groups looking for a clean, spacious, and comfortable place to stay!

Stayed at Hotel Seri Malaysia Kangar and had a pleasant experience. The hotel is located in a quiet part of Kangar with a relaxing atmosphere and a nice view of the nearby hills. The room was clean and comfortable, suitable for a short stay. One of the highlights is the swimming pool area, which offers a pleasant hill view and makes it a nice spot to relax. The surroundings are peaceful, and it is still convenient to find food and basic amenities nearby. Overall, a simple, comfortable, and practical place to stay when visiting Kangar.

I really enjoyed my stay at Cassia Rama 9. The loft-style room was modern, clean, and very spacious. The highlight was definitely the infinity pool on the 37th floor with an amazing view of Bangkok. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Although it’s a bit of a walk to the MRT, the free shuttle service works perfectly. Highly recommended!

The room is very spacious... so comfortable! It's a single bed, but two people can sleep comfortably. The food is delicious too! The room is incredibly spacious. The internet is a bit slow if you want to watch Netflix; you'd have to watch football on your phone. YouTube works fine though, it's fast enough.

Check in was smooth, receptionist Cik Aina was friendly in attending to questions asked. Room was clean and tidy. They provided free flow of candy at their lobby. Ironing board and water dispenser were also provided on the corridor or each level Breakfast spread were delicious with more than one option at a very reasonable price. Recommended.

The night shift front desk staff was rude during check-in. When I mentioned my booking through the Trip.com app, he denied it and insisted they only accept Agoda bookings. Despite my efforts to explain, he seemed displeased and unhelpful. The hotel is well-located near eateries and amenities. While it’s old and the rooms are dark, the price is reasonable and cleanliness is satisfactory. WiFi is reliable and fast, traffic noise is noticeable. There are no toiletries provided—only two small cubes of Lux soap. Overall, conditions are acceptable for budget travelers, but don’t expect much.
