Comfortable, up-to-date hotel with above average size rooms. 10 minute walk to Akita Station. I opted to do laundry in their coin operated washer-dryers and you can monitor the machines from your hotel room screen--pretty cool! HVAC control allowed us to use air conditioner (due to unexpectedly warm days) even though most hotels in Japan had switched to winter mode, so this was a plus. The only downside was that the 2 single beds were pushed together so one person had to climb out of bed over their bed since there was no space to put your foot down! We did not have breakfast there because when we decided to do so, they told us the dining room was full and we would have to wait 30 minutes.

秋田の冬祭りを楽しむために予約しました。秋田空港から空港バスを利用してJR秋田駅で下車して至近距離であることと、現地でのツアーが秋田駅東口が出発と解散だったので駅近が必須でした。夜の祭りなので解散時間が午後11時過ぎでした。立地的には最高でしたが、いろいろフロントでお願いすることも多かったのですが、スタッフの方々がとても親切で気持ちよく応対してくださいました。部屋も高層階の広めのツインルームで3泊だけでしたが、気持ちよく滞在できました。唯一の問題はバスタブにお湯をためる際の方法が分からに事です。これはシャワーカーテンの下あたりにあるボタンを押さないといけないのですが、案内もなく不親切です。ロビーを通る度にその説明を電話でしているのには笑えました。部屋からの眺めは秋田駅川でしたが、東側なので美しい夜明けが見ることが出来ました。2月の雪景色だったのも良かったです。朝食は最上階のレストランですが、ここでは大きな窯が据えられ、出来立てのパンが並べられています。和食は地元のお米の食べ比べが出来たり、きりたんぽ汁も稲庭うどんもいただけます。眺望もよく気持ちよい朝食が楽しめます。ジュースとコーヒーが美味しいのはANAホテルだなと思わせます。

JR青森駅から栄えていない東口に向かうとALVEというビルがあり、その2階がエントランスです。駅の改札口から直結で雨に濡れないで行けます。 お勧めの居酒屋などを紹介してくれており、そこを利用すると少し安くなりました。 設備やサービスはリーズナブルで、問題なしです。 サービスで付く朝食では、人気のカレーライスをいただき満足しました。

Right next to train station. Quiet and comfortable, albeit small rooms. We dropped our luggage at the hotel in a.m. and spent the day walking around Kakunodate (1 day is enough...actually, probably just a day trip from Akita would make sense). This is not the busy season though the autumn colors of the trees were spectacular. The town is very quiet and very few restaurants were open in the evening. There is nothing near the train station. We ended up eating at the hotel which was, surprisingly, good and very inexpensive. The hotel staff is very perky and as with everywhere in Japan, place is well maintained, clean and functional. I would definitely recommend this hotel if planning to stay in Kakunodate overnight.

I spent two nights at the Akita Castle Hotel in March (2023). It was a short walk from the train station near multiple attractions like the Akita Museum of Art and the castle ruins in Senshu Park. There's a large 7-Eleven by the entrance or a Lawsons around the corner for all your convenience needs. My room was perfect for a solo traveller, with all the comforts I needed.

Great experience staying here for 2 nights..just beside JR station,bus station and food as well..very convenience ..thank you to male staff name Mr Ando for helping me with with some issues..this is my 5th visit to japan..japanese people never fail to impress me..they are very kind and always make me feel amazing towards them..thank you again..arigato gozaimasu😊

We very much enjoyed our short stay here. The beds were on the floor but were very comfortable, although (as is common in Japanese hotels) there is only one smallish pillow on offer – and that is often filled with buckwheat or something like that. Luckily, our room had three beds between the two of us and so additional pillows could be obtained if you were quick! The room was huge by Japanese standards and there was plenty of room for all our luggage. However, the bathroom was tiny and the low lintels gave my head (I’m 190 cm) some unwanted attention. We didn’t, though, need to use the bathroom for showering because the onsen was fabulous. The locker room for skis was large and easily accessible from both inside and outside the hotel, although the lockers themselves could only accommodate two pairs of skis. I would very much recommend the massage, which is dry and done through a yukata. There is a good supply of yukatas in the hotel, that will fit all sizes. The food was great; plentiful and in huge variety, designed to suit all palates.

STRONGLY RECOMMENDED. Again,don't worry about English. Staff has great service attitude and are very very helpful! Also very honest. I lost my PASSMO and train ticket - picked up from just outside hotel and returned to me. If there's an eventin the vicinity, this hotel is PERFECT! They have won many awards and the staff even helped me to connect with the next hotel for early check in as the staff were friends with the hotel I was going to stay...Most interesting convenience store, tried interesting oden and even stocked Okinawa pig ears that were so thinly sliced. Better than the Chinese restaurants - so refined...Visit them in the 2nd weekend of February and you can tour the candy festival (with Akita Dogs parade) at the same time. Very comfortable bed too. I can't find anything bad about the hotel.

The hotel is very clean with excellent service. The view from the rooftop hot spring is amazing. The surrounding area is a blend of nature and modern culture, with plenty of restaurants nearby.

木が多様された暖炉とフリードリンクのあるピアノ演奏が流れるラウンジが、この料金では考えられないほど良い雰囲気。フリードリンクに千歳盛やウイスキーも梅酒もあるからみんな笑顔になっちゃいますよね。 もちろん地元の食材を楽しめる食事も風呂も最高でした。 1泊では物足りないので、次回からは2泊にして日中　ほとんど他のお客さんがいないお風呂にゆっくり浸かりたいと思います。 これから何度も（いろんな部屋を試しながら）伺うとますので、よろしくお願いします。
