We really enjoyed our stay in Yokohama. The accommodation was clean, cozy, and well maintained, with a convenient location. It was a comfortable and pleasant experience overall, and we would definitely consider staying here again.
We enjoyed the rather spacious room and the view of rolling hills. With large beds and a tatami room, it felt rather luxurious. The entire place has an 80s vibe, but good thing we liked the nostalgia it brought for us.
The room was quick clean too. Only that the outside balcony and windows had a few rather large spiders and spider webs. Good thing we don't have arachnophobia.
They have two locations for their onsens at different timings. So that needed some getting used to. The onsens themselves are decent enough.
Getting to the place was a little tricky as we didn't know what was the best bus to hop onto. We hopped onto the bus that Google Maps indicated was the most direct, only to realise as we were boarding that that bus was not covered under the Hakone Free Pass. On hindsight, to utilise the Hakone Free Pass, one should take the bus to Yunessen, the hotel next door and walk a short distance uphill.
For the price we thought it was quite worth it, especially compared to some of the other hotels nearby.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, making it easy to get around, and the room was spotlessly clean and spacious.
What truly stood out was the exceptional service; the staff were incredibly professional and went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. I will definitely choose this hotel again for my next visit!
Check in took quite some time as there were many guests checking in at 3pm. The hotel has a western ryokan feel. It has 2 onsens which they alternate between men and women and I suggest going to both. The one on level 5 has a waterfall view.
Dinner was buffet style and the variety was great. I super love the fresh Sashimi, the miso soup, the tempura and sushi, snow crab etc.
Room was clean and spacious with our own outdoor Onsen bath. Would love to come back.

The room is the biggest of the hotels we booked. 1 thing missing is the laundry area... maybe the cleanliness could be improved.
good location, access to the subway right in front of the hotel door

Great
JJennifer WLCRight in the heart of Yokohama Minato Mirai 21! I booked a room facing the city, and it had a perfect view of the Cosmo Clock 21 Ferris wheel. The night view was absolutely stunning, and I could even see ships coming and going from Yokohama Port from the side.
For breakfast, they had Hokkaido's unique Kurosenkoku natto, which had a different texture than the natto you usually find – definitely worth trying!
Next time I visit Yokohama, InterContinental Yokohama Grand will still be my top choice!
Oosiris27This hotel is conveniently located about 200 meters from the Tenyu bus stop, accessible by Hakone's main bus lines, Z03 and J03. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated and has a very stylish ambiance. The Japanese-style room, though not huge, was quite spacious and quiet. Despite checking in during February, the room's excellent insulation actually made it feel warm. The private open-air bath on the balcony was amazing; even with outside temperatures around 5 degrees Celsius, the continuous flow of 40-degree-plus hot spring water meant it was never cold. The hotel also offers outdoor public baths and a footbath. Plus, on the 5th floor lobby, there are two free ice cream machines – just ask the front desk for complimentary tokens to enjoy as much as you like – and a continuous supply of various iced teas. I must especially commend the dining experience; half-board (dinner and breakfast) is an absolute must! Upon check-in, the front desk proactively changed our two nights of shabu-shabu to one night of shabu-shabu and one night of kaiseki. Each dinner was a full course, incredibly delicious, and left us completely stuffed. For breakfast, there are two restaurants, and I highly recommend the buffet; the variety is extensive and far superior to the breakfast at the Imperial Hotel, which is often ranked as a top Tokyo dining spot on Ctrip. The hotel also hosts free evening performances, and you can even pay to release sky lanterns. Honestly, if I came to Hakone 100 times, I'd stay at Tenyu 100 times.
AAnonymous UserI chose this hotel because I was going to a concert at Zepp, and it was super convenient, just two blocks away. The room facilities were new and complete, and the hotel's decor maintained the consistently grand and comfortable style of Mitsui Garden. Although the breakfast didn't change much over two days, it was quite tasty. While the hotel isn't directly above a subway station, the surrounding area is very pleasant, which was perfect for me as I wanted to avoid crowded tourist spots. To get to Haneda Airport, you can take the Keikyu bus from the Westin; it's the easiest and most stress-free way. The fare is 1000 JPY per person, and you can pay with cash or an IC card on board, though the service isn't very frequent (surprisingly, the Mitsui Garden staff told me to go to Yokohama Station to catch a bus!). The weather in Yokohama wasn't great this trip, so it was a slight shame I couldn't see Mount Fuji from my room. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the hotel and would gladly choose it again in the future.
ZZuiaijinmiEnvironment: The hotel is located in the mountains, the air is very fresh, the night is very quiet, there is a small river and a small waterfall next to it. The hotel is not far from Hakone Shrine, Lake Ashi and other attractions.
Service: The service is very thoughtful, breakfast is very rich, and you can also book lunch and dinner.
Facilities: The overall decoration of the hotel is relatively new, and the room area is much larger than that of a hotel in Tokyo at the same price. The hotel's hot springs are indoor and outdoor, very clean, listening to the sound of the waterfall outside the hot springs is very pleasant.
VVhiveWe stayed in a few Ryokans but this Yoshiike Ryokan is the best because the room have large window that allow fresh mountain air to flow into the room and the futons are incredibly comfortable and warmed. We came in January when the weather dropped to 0c and the room had heaters. The onsen is beautiful and natural. My wife loved the gardens. And the receptionists are very polite and happy. We loved happy people that makes your money well spend. Will come back in the winter.

GGuest UserWe booked a room with an open-air onsen and tatami mats. By the time we finished dinner, the futons were already laid out.
There are also large public baths, both indoor and outdoor, which are very comfortable.
Both breakfast and dinner are buffet-style with a good variety of dishes. The steak, shrimp, and sashimi were all very fresh and excellent.
After a dip in the hot spring, I bought a bottle of milk from the vending machine and relaxed on a massage chair – it was truly wonderful.
We were a bit rushed this time and didn't get to explore the hotel's surroundings properly. I'll definitely come back again.
Mmay idaMy stay at this hotel was truly exceptional. The view of Mount Fuji was absolutely perfect, creating a breathtaking and unforgettable experience. The hospitality service was fantastic—staff were incredibly attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. Every detail was well taken care of, making it a truly relaxing and enjoyable visit. Highly recommended!
GGuest UserService and amenities were excellent but hotel transportation is inadequate for visitors to this area. You are basically relying on prearranged hotel food service unless you like Italian every night or else there is no reliable way of getting into Gora or nearby eateries safely especially at night. Uber or taxis are unreliable and non existence while we were there. We ended up buying food during the day and use hotel microwave to heat up our dinner.
GGuest UserThis hotel offers great value for money. It's my second time in Hakone, and compared to the hotels by Lake Ashi, this one feels much newer. The rooms are quite spacious for Japan, with a 1.5-meter bed and a 1.1-meter bed side-by-side. The toilet is separate from the shower, which is a wet/dry design. The view from the window is also lovely. The hot springs are on the sixth floor, featuring both outdoor mountain-view onsens and indoor ones. The outdoor area also has a single and a double private pool, which is a nice touch. Overall, it's pretty good. The breakfast and dinner are more Japanese style, with ramen, miso soup, sashimi, and sweet shrimp. The mattress in the room was really comfortable. All in all, a great stay. Right opposite the hotel is the Okada Museum of Art, which I highly recommend visiting, especially as a Chinese person. The first floor of the five-story museum is dedicated to Chinese porcelain from various dynasties, with the oldest being a green-glazed阁楼 (pavilion) from the 2nd-3rd century BC (Former Han Dynasty), standing about a meter tall. I won't say too much more, as photography of the artifacts is not allowed.
