The hotel is easy to find from the road, which made arrival very convenient. Check-in and check-out were smooth and hassle-free, and free parking was available. The room is not very big, but it has everything needed and is spacious enough to open two suitcases comfortably. Bathroom's water pressure is strong, overall a good stay.

Hotel is quite new and tastefully decorated. Room spacious and layout is functional. Dressing/ basin area rather dim, need to have brighter ( whiter ) light for make up etc.
Location is very good, few minutes away from metro and walkable to the Hankyu train station, short distance away from the main shopping areas and plenty of good restaurants around. Breakfast area is quite cramped, food variety and taste are good, worth a try.

Location of the Hotel is very convenient for travelers who come to Kyoto by Rapid train or Shinkansen. The hotel is located at the left - side of Kyoto station , opposite to Kyoto tower. Breakfast also served smoked salmon and the white fish sashimi.

Beautiful hotel at the foot of the mountains. Surrounded by many many cherry blossom trees (must be breathtakingly beautiful during that season). The hotel staff are extremely polite, professional and helpful! The room is very spacious, bed is super comfy and bathroom is my favourite. Other facilities such as the spa is awesome too! Will definitely recommend this hotel to everyone and I will definitely want to revise again during blossom season too. Last but not least, the breakfast is great too!

The location is a bit far from downtown area, room inside is a bit old, but they have refurbished the entire hall, lift etc. and the hot spring was fantastic! The breakfast selection was very impressive as well, so many selections!

Geweldig oude herberg van 100 jaar oud. Oude japanse charme. Ik had een kamer met prima ruimte en verlichting. Er was een ons/bad dat fantastisch was en de eigenaren waren hele lieve, gastvrije mensen. De locatie is dicht bij een busstop richting Ine, een grote supermarkt en de cable car naar het park.

I recently stayed at Rhino Hotel in Kyoto, and it was a pleasant experience overall! The hotel is conveniently located near Saiin Station, making it easy to explore the city. The room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with modern amenities. I particularly appreciated the comfortable bed and the quiet ambiance, which made for a restful stay.
The staff were friendly and helpful, providing excellent service throughout my visit. I also enjoyed the complimentary access to the fitness center and pool, which was a nice bonus.
However, the decor felt slightly dated, and the breakfast options could have been more varied. Despite these minor points, I would highly recommend Rhino Hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable and reasonably priced stay in Kyoto

Путешествие в данный Рёкан оказалось невероятно комфортным и аутентичным. Невероятный отзывчивый персонал, всегда придут на помощь, подскажут и направят. Отлично говорят по-английски, так что проблем с коммуникацией не возникло. Невероятная чистота. Онсен - выше всяких похвал, 45-минутная сессия исключительно для одного (в моем случае, в других - для гостей номеров). Словно побывал у бабушки в деревне. Кайсеки - просто закачаешься, после него будешь воротить нос от любых ”суши”. Очень понравилось, 13/10

GGuest UserLocated on the 2nd floor, accessible by elevator from the central square exit, this hotel is incredibly convenient. It exudes the charm of a classic, established hotel. For breakfast, there's Ogawa and Yakiniku Hiro right across the street. We also found the best value for money meal near Komero Park – picture 4 shows a meal that was only 5000+ yen! Kinkaku-ji and Kiyomizu-dera are definitely worth visiting, and the Biwako Valley ski resort was stunning. The aquarium is good too. Kyoto is a city you can easily spend 3 days exploring.

IIRADAThough the hotel itself is good (I’m staying here for a second time), this time the service was awful.1) went to breakfast, me and my friend ordered 2 dishes, when in 20 mins time there still was nothing, we reminded a waitress of our order… another 20 mins - still nothing. All in all we spent 40 mins at the breakfast restaurant and didn’t get our food. When we explained this to the hostess she just said “sorry” and we left the restaurant hungry. 2) ordered afternoon tea for 3 persons (afternoon tea is served at another restaurant at the hotel). 2 normal sets and 1 for a person who doesn’t like dairy products. That person is me. I explained that I have no allergy, I just don’t like the taste of milk, cheese, et cetera. So I’m fine with bread and with sweets, just not the ones that have cheese on top. In the end instead of the sweets they brought me a fruit platter (that’s all, my friends got a lot of different sweets), when I again explained to the hostess that I’m fine with sweets (sweet bread) and would like to eat the sweets included in the afternoon tea set she just said that they “prepared smth else” for me (she meant the fruit platter). No apology no anything. Mind you, I ordered afternoon tea last year at this same place - everything was alright! As this is a 5 star hotel and everything here is rather expensive (including breakfast and afternoon tea) this is unacceptable level if service.

I came here again after many years and felt that the overall service and the quality of the food in the hotel were much worse. In particular, the service may be understaffed during the peak season, but it is indeed a very good hotel. Be sure not to make any mistakes when booking a hotel, otherwise he will be unkind and only care about money!

WWanglunhuiThis is a long-established hotel, very close to Kyoto Station, the city's main transportation hub. The rooms are spacious with large windows that let in plenty of light. For breakfast, you have a choice of two restaurants: one is a rotating restaurant on a high floor with great views, offering a set menu. The other is a buffet on the first floor with a very rich selection. The downsides are the lack of laundry facilities, the bathroom isn't wet/dry separated, and the room lighting is a bit dim.

NNaxieniandeshiguangThe location is just opposite Nijo Castle, within walking distance, very convenient. Kyoto is not big, very leisurely, and the hotel is generally good to the attractions. The front desk and lobby manager are good, their English is online, very international, especially the European and American guys hired, the communication is very smooth. The facilities in the room are also good, the breakfast is also great, especially the freshly squeezed orange juice machine is quite interesting.

GGuest UserThis traditional onsen hotel is very spacious, and the rooms are also quite large, maintaining the charm of a classic hotel. The hot spring baths are incredibly comfortable, and the breakfast is abundant (especially the freshly baked French croissants, served warm, which I paired with red bean paste and cheese – absolutely heavenly, I had three and still wanted more!). The polite service from the staff was truly delightful. Most of the guests were ********* tour groups and Japanese independent travelers. If you're visiting Miyazu, this is definitely the onsen hotel to choose; it's an unparalleled option for great value for money.

XXiaogoucheshenThe hotel's location is quite good, and watching the sunset from the courtyard is truly beautiful. Perhaps because it was the off-season, the entire hotel felt very quiet, comfortable, and relaxing. The staff at reception were all very welcoming, and their attention to detail was excellent. Breakfast was relatively average, nothing special but perfectly adequate. The hot springs were quite comfortable, and not crowded at all. There are both indoor and outdoor options, and soaking in the outdoor springs when there's a big temperature difference is really pleasant. The only downside was that after a day of activities, I wanted to take a bath, but found a very noticeable hair from a previous guest in the bathtub that hadn't been cleaned. I contacted the front desk, and they sent someone up to clean it, which took about 20 minutes to resolve.

FFrankafuMy main goal for this Kyoto trip was to revisit Kiyomizu-dera and Fushimi Inari-taisha, and explore Kibune. So I chose to stay near Kawaramachi, and ended up picking this Hilton. The hotel is right by Shiyakusho-mae Station on the Tozai Line. I'd recommend using the Kawaramachi Plaza exit, as it's the only one with an escalator; if you use Exit 1, you'll have to carry your luggage yourself. Technically, you can't see Honno-ji Temple's graveyard from the hotel, but it is close to the road and can be a bit noisy at night. In the mornings, there are fewer motorcycles, and Sundays are quiet – I even slept through breakfast one day! You can walk to Keihan Sanjo Station, enjoying the Kamo River along the way. If you prefer, it's also just one subway stop. It's not far to walk to Kawaramachi Shijo either, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. This time, I surprisingly opted for a breakfast and dinner package. The variety was better than at Mitsui Garden Hotel Kyoto Sanjo Premier, but they don't change their menus, so eating the same thing for three consecutive days can get a bit monotonous. As for a drawback, I'd suggest the hotel checks the elevator buttons – the static electricity is quite bad; I got shocked almost every time.

GGuest UserThis is the hotel I was most looking forward to and the least happy about during my entire trip. I booked two nights for RMB 15,000. I arrived at the hotel at 22:00 on the first day. I could only check in at the lobby of the Westin ordinary room. I didn’t get any special reception. The guy at the front desk had the coldest attitude in the hotel during the entire trip. You can't even squeeze out a smile. When I was going through the process, something unexpected happened. The employee in charge of Kaishuien (who was not wearing a kimono, but was dressed in the clothing department) was very serious and even said to me with a black face, ”You, immediately, tell your child not to have sex” Stomping in the lobby! I even thought I heard it wrong, because the lobby was a very empty traditional lobby, and not even a single guest was seen at night. I don’t know who was affected. I felt that she just hated children, so she issued such an order. I immediately called the two children After being quieter, she rolled her eyes and said nothing.
