Hotel Dengan Kolam di Campeche, Mexico

We arrived in Campeche late in the evening after a five hour drive from Chetumal and were exhausted. We had read good reviews about the Holiday Inn so we stopped for an overnight. We paid at the front desk and went to sleep. Next morning we saw that we were charged $20.00 more than what was advertised on various hotel booking sites so we went down to the front desk and asked them if they would lower the rate to what was on the sites, we would like to stay another night. They refused. This upset us a bit because these hotels always say to book directly through them to get the best rate! At any rate..the pluses: Great breakfast, clean view with a beautiful view. Helpful concierge and bell service. Just wish the front desk had been a bit more helpful. We ended up going to a beautiful B&B in the historic district for half the price.

My mom and I stayed two night in this hotel while we explored Campeche and the surrounding area. It was very clean and the staff were helpful and kind. The location is great in that it is just outside the city wall next to one of the entrances. Therefore, while it is a short, 5 minute walk to the cathedral and a tiny bit more to Calle 59 where many restaurants are, it is quieter to stay here than inside the walls. The rooms are very clean, simple but perfectly functional, and there was a partitioned, shared balcony for our room which gave us a lovely view of the park. The hotel offers a restaurant and room service. We utilized both and found the food to be very affordable but high quality and tasty. There are bell hops, front desk people, and a helpful concierge as well available at almost all hours. The pool outside is small and is accessed by a ladder (no steps) but there is a nice little sitting areas with shade next to it. The parking appears somewhat limited, so if you are driving here I'd speak to the hotel beforehand to make arrangements before your stay. Overall, we had a very good experience. I recommend this hotel for tourists or business people alike. There were some tourists like ourselves, but I saw a lot of guests who I would guess were Mexicans traveling for their work. In my experience, that's always a good indicator of a quality hotel, as those people are usually repeat customers.

Sarapan pagi agak mudah, dan semasa tempoh wabak, pengumpulan sendiri tidak dibenarkan, dan pelayan akan membawanya ke meja. Boleh bawak anak-anak tapi sangat sikit orang yang datang ke sini. Lokasi hotel adalah baik. Terdapat banyak tempat untuk makan di sekitar, dan pasar raya juga sangat mudah. Tempat letak kereta sangat longgar.

We stopped here on the way from Palenque to Bacalar. It's situated almost in the middle between these two places. There was one other copple. So it was really quiet in the hotel. Already mentioned, the swimmingpool is small and there are only two beds, probably because there are not to many guests. The hotel could use some fresh paint and a make-over. The restaurant though was the highlight, The food and service was excellent. The chef had done a really good job. Only for that, we would return.

We enjoyed being close to the main plaza (4 blocks away), and the combined ceiling fan and air conditioner. As seniors we also appreciated the elevator. We did not have any problems with the WiFi, and liked the fact we could watch news channels on a large screen TV. The Hotel staff was gracious and very attentive to our questions, and it is common in Mexico, we were immediately approached by some staff with all sort of offers for private taxi services. Our room was good size, well appointed and very clean. We had no street noise problems at all. However, we would have preferred to have a good breakfast restaurant at the hotel instead of walking every day looking for a place open in the early morning. Yes, it is true that they suggest just walking a few steps to Hotel Plaza Campeche. This we did once and we were very disappointed, the breakfast food was not good enough for us. Hotel Plaza Colonial is at the moment a good place to stay in Campeche, and it could be a great place with a few improvements. Let me mention what those could be; a good breakfast service, a refit of their ancient plumbing systems, and better quality towels and toiletries.

Although it's not the responsibility of the hotel for outside music, they must know that the sound comes right through the walls since they are located at the corner of the public plaza. That said, the location is 2 blocks to the main cathedral and 2 blocks to the sea so you decide. Breakfast is available (not included), grocery store stuff generally or you can buy the 2nd level with eggs. The pool area is modest and water VERY cold in winter in spite of warm daytime temps. We bought a corner suite and the room was spacious, attractive and clean. The bed was pretty awful for comfort. We had balconies on two sides, enjoyed the views and the breeze. Shower was good and the staff was nice with limited English. You need to request a hair dryer for your room at check in. Overall, a fair deal for your money but I'd pick a place where I could sleep better next time.

The hotel has lots going on in the plus column; great location just steps away from the old town, bay views, decent air conditioning, nice water pressure and comfy beds. We understand with the number of people in town to view the annular eclipse, they may have been off their game, but the service in the restaurant was insane. We were asked to take a seat at a table with dirty dishes and used napkins. There were lots of workers bustling around but hadn’t noticed much going on as far as clearing tables or refilling coffees, etc. They had some fresh fruit but the other choices were dismal and their juice was nothing but sugary water. When we got the check for the breakfast buffet, we were astonished at the price of $650 for two. So in short, we’d stay at the hotel again but no way would we waste our money having breakfast there again.

Check in - Bien La persona que me atendió al hacer check in fue muy amable, atención rápida y apropiada. Habitación - Bien La habitación limpia, dos camas matrimoniales, los colchones son demasiado suaves de tal forma que me provocaron dolor de espalda y termine durmiendo en el piso. La iluminación muy buena y todo se ve de nuevo o en muy buen estado. En el bano falta una toalla de mano. Cocina / Restaurante - MUY MAL Comida con mala presentación, los ingredientes de mala calidad, mala atención, mal sabor. Al llamar a la cocin para ordenar no saludan, no se presentan, se escucha que cuentan chistes obscenos.

MI ESTANCIA 5 DÍAS. OJO!! 1.- LIMPIEZA. te limpian la habitación cada 7 días, SIIII cada 7 dias !!! segun por todavía el COVID 19. Aunque ya todos estemos vacunados y con PCR, se inventan que NO pueden entrar continuamente para evitar el contacto. 2.- UNO TIENE QUE SACAR SU BASURA AL PASILLO por consecuencia que no entrar a los cuartos 3.- INTERNET muy deficiente, se corta, no tiene estabilidad. 4.- BAÑOS Y HABITACIONES. Demasiado ruido por los paquetes interior de aire acondicionado, el baño en la regadera se moja ya que las cortinas son muy cortas, no ponen tapetes, a los baños les falta mantenimiento. 5.- PERSONAL. son amables a medias, les falta capacitación. Yo marque un dia antes realice como 5 llamadas, queria preguntar por disponibilidad; NUNCA ME CONTESTARON

La estancia en el hotel Hampton Inn by Hilton Ciudad del Carmen fue un caos, reserve tres habitaciones para el viernes 7 de abril; llegamos a las 15:05hrs, tardamos en registro 30min, nos entregaron las llaves y me dijeron que una habitación no estaba disponible todavía, que esperara 15min, 3 familiares que ocupaban esa habitación estuvieron esperando 1hr con 15min para que la entregaran, retrasando nuestro programa de actividades. Entre a mi habitación la cual era doble, en una cama tenía un cobertor maquillaje y pensé “ha de estar manchada, bueno, tolerable”, usamos el sanitario y la taza no desalojaba y no funcionada adecuadamente el flotador dije “ok lo puedo solucionar” usamos el cesto de basura como cubeta. Nos alistamos y nos fuimos a nuestras siguientes actividades programadas, porque una ya habíamos perdido por el retraso en la entrega de la habitación. Cuando regresamos a las 22:00hrs, después de asearnos, procedimos a acostarnos, y oh sorpresa, la otra cama olía fuertemente a orín, el cobertor, las sabanas, la cama, inmediatamente llame a recepción, me dijeron mandarían a una persona; llego a las 23:15hrs, me entrego 2 sabanas y lo invite a pasar, le dije que oliera la cama, no se quiso acercar, me dijo “ahorita vengo”; regreso con otras 2 sabanas y me dijo “no tenemos permitido cambiar las sabanas nosotros”, y le pedí que se llevara las sabanas sucias, me indico que las dejara a un costado que mañana cuando hagan limpieza se las llevarían y se fue; tuve que cambiar las sabanas, dormir con el olor a orín, voltear el colchón porque nadie me dio solución en ese momento. Al día siguiente, a las 10:00hrs, hablé con una representante del hotel llamada Sandy, le conté los inconvenientes, llamo a la ama de llaves y al encargado de mantenimiento, los 3 se comprometieron a realizar una limpieza profunda y a mejorar el desempeño del sanitario. Estuve fuera del hotel 10 horas, cuando regresé de la playa, noté que no nos dejaron toallas, las pedí y me dijeron que no tenían disponibles porque estaban en el área de secado, esperamos 1hrs y media para que nos llegarán las toallas, después del aseo, me acuesto y el cobertor olía nuevamente a orín, solo el cobertor, procedí a voltear el colchón y era el mismo, la limpieza profunda no fue tal; hable a recepción y mandaron a una mucama, la cual si olio y reconoció el mal olor, ella si procedió a traer un cobertor y cambiarlo, la taza de baño seguía igual que al principio. Ya en el día de salida, pedí hablar con la representante a las 09:30hrs, esta vez había un señor, no recuerdo el nombre, le dije mi molestia e indignación, al final me dijo que me reembolsaría una noche, acepte y dije que era lo mínimo que podían hacer. Subí a mi habitación, enseguida tocaron a la puerta, era el representante diciéndome que no podrían realizar el reembolso, que me proponía ser miembro honors y darme puntos para compras en Amazon y utilizarlos en hoteles de la cadena, no acepte ser miembro de una cadena donde el persona

Hice la reservacion a través de la página, obviamente te piden una tarjeta de crédito para asegurar que si no llegas te cobran la noche. Me llamaron el sábado en la mañana para confirmar mi llegada a lo cual confirme. Me informaron que me esperaban de 15 a 18 hrs de lo contrario o respetaría. Mi reservacion a lo cual les dije que ahí estaríamos a las 15 hrs que es la hora del check in. Llegamos más temprano pero hicimos tiempo yendo a comer a otro lado primero y de ahí nos trasladamos entrando al hotel a las 15.30 pm (tenía 3 habitaciones reservadas) y llegando el sábado las recepcionistas me dijeron que no estaban listas las habitaciones situación que me molesto mucho pues llevaba a mis padres señores de 80 años y debía esperar por que aun no estaban limpias. Nos sentamos a esperar y resulta que habían otras 4 familias que tenían más de media hora esperando lo mismo a lo que me moleste y empezamos a exigir la entrega de las habitaciones. Estas las entregaron a las 16 hrs desde luego las recepcionistas sin ninguna educación con un hocico como si les debiera uno algo. Al fin subimos las habitaciones muy bien. Llamé al call center para dejar mi queja pues así como exigen que uno cumpla el horario de entrada y salida debe ser recíproca la situación. En el call center me dieron una página para dejar mi queja la cual no funcionó y volví a llamar para para comentárselos, a lo que la chica se limitó a decir que solo ahí se podría dejar la queja y que la página si funcionaba. La verdad si van de vacaciones con sus viejos no vayan a este lugar pues no hay ninguna consideración hacia la gente adulta mayor. Estas limitados a sólo recibir personal de pemex que llega al edificio que está a un lado de el hotel que no les queda otra.

El hotel en sí es correcto, pero le falta mantenimiento y revisión de las habitaciones antes de entregarlas. Llegamos y nos dieron una habitación en la que no funcionaba la cisterna del baño. Nos la cambiaron y en la nueva no funcionaba la caja fuerte. No sabían cómo abrirla. Vimos otras dos habitaciones y tampoco funcionaba... Al final nos tuvieron que cambiar la caja fuerte. Los teléfonos de las habitaciones tampoco funcionaban. Con todo esto perdimos bastante tiempo. Más detalles de descuido: La piscina de la azotea tiene dos estructuras flotando que no sabemos para qué sirven y un agujero en la pared, los adoquines de la entrada están todos desencajados, el personal del hotel comiendo en el mostrador de la recepción... hay dos hoteles en uno: El Fiesta Inn y el Fiesta Inn & Loft. Las habitaciones del Fiesta Inn no tienen nevera. Una pena porque está bien situado y podría ser un buen hotel si se tomaran más en serio el mantenimiento del mismo.
