GGuest UserIt was just good for the night spent the host were so good and helpfull.Just didnt like the fact that l was asked what time l am comfortable to come for my breakfast and they did record and when l got in for breakfast l was told l am late l should come 10 mins earlier than the time and noone had indicated that to me and was even told that next time don't be late when l know l was not late l came the time l booked.

GGuest UserUpon arrival, check-in at reception was smooth. We were provided with our room key and directed to our accommodation, which required us to drive to the other side of the estate. However, when we reached the room, the key did not work. We walked back to reception, where we were informed that a network issue had prevented the key from being properly programmed. The receptionist, who was very helpful, offered to accompany us to the room and opened it using a master key. She assured us that a functioning key would be delivered as soon as the network was restored.
Upon entering the room, we immediately noticed that it had not been cleaned. The window sill was sticky with what appeared to be beverage spills, the floor was dirty, the bathroom mats were not fresh, and most concerning, there were rat droppings on the window sill, on the floor behind the curtains, and behind the door. I contacted reception to request housekeeping and asked to speak with a manager, as the condition of the room was unacceptable. A housekeeping staff member arrived, but I requested that cleaning not proceed until the housekeeping manager assessed the situation. The manager quickly confirmed that the room had indeed not been cleaned and that there were clear signs of rodent activity. She apologised sincerely, asked us to wait while the room was cleaned, and said she would escalate the matter to the rooms division. While waiting on the terrace outside, we noticed a mouse in the bushes, which explained the droppings found inside.
After the room was cleaned, the manager returned, apologised again, and informed us that a complimentary bottle of wine had been arranged for us. We told her about the mouse we had seen and expressed that we did not feel comfortable staying in that room. She went back to speak with the rooms division, and we waited in the bar. An hour later, she returned with keys to a new room and directed us there. The replacement room was clean, though the entire experience made for a rocky start to our stay.
The following day, after breakfast, we returned to our room to find that the terrace doors had been removed and two maintenance staff were working. This came as an unexpected surprise, as no one had informed us that repairs would be taking place. We decided to return to the bar to allow the work to be completed. As we were celebrating a birthday that day, the housekeeping manager kindly arranged for our room to be decorated with a birthday message.
From that point onward, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay thanks to the exceptional customer service at the restaurants, bars, and spa. In particular, we would like to recognise Moses, Regal, and Tebogo at Kingsley Restaurant; Sibongile at Granatas; and Mandy at the spa for their outstanding hospitality. They truly made our stay memorable.
Overall, despite the challenges we experienced upon arrival, we had a lovely stay. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making my mother’s birthday special.

GGuest UserRoom was spacious, clean, and comfortable. It is perfect for a short layover in Johannesburg or a night before an early morning flight.
Shuttle bus to and from the airport are frequent and convenient (running at 30-minute intervals and generally on time). There are other airport hotels which may be closer to the airport and all shuttle buses run from the same bus terminal. This bus takes around 7-8 minutes to reach the hotel from the bus terminal.
Room amenities are abundant, and the water kettle is kept reasonably clean. Hotel gym is well-maintained and a good place to work out before long flights. Staff are professional and friendly.

Food is reasonably priced.
For an overnight stay close to the airport, it is perfectly adequate.

I was booked into one of the Villa Suites, and it was an experience in itself. The suite was beautifully appointed, spacious, and thoughtfully designed, blending elegance with comfort in a way that felt both indulgent and homely. Every detail from the plush furnishings to the serene garden views contributed to a sense of effortless relaxation. It truly felt like a private sanctuary.
The service throughout my stay was impeccable. Staff members were warm, attentive, and intuitive without ever being intrusive. Whether it was assistance with luggage, dining recommendations, or simply a friendly check‑in to ensure everything was perfect, the team consistently delivered with professionalism and charm.
The hotel grounds are equally impressive. Lush, tranquil, and meticulously maintained, they create a peaceful escape that feels worlds away from the bustle of the city. It’s the ideal setting for unwinding, whether by the pool, in the spa, or simply strolling through the gardens.
Dining at Fairlawns was another highlight. The food was beautifully presented and full of flavour, with a menu that balances creativity and comfort. Every meal felt like a treat.
Overall, Fairlawns Boutique Hotel offers an exceptional blend of luxury, privacy, and heartfelt hospitality. My stay in the Villa Suite was unforgettable, and I would recommend this hotel without hesitation to anyone seeking a refined and restorative escape in Johannesburg.

For those looking for practicality and who don't want to worry about transportation, it's the perfect choice. I highly recommend it!

I had such a lovely stay at Weston Guest House Krugersdorp. The property is in Noordheuwel, Krugersdorp, and the whole place has such a peaceful, private atmosphere.
My room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. I especially loved the bedroom and the big comfortable bed, but the highlight for me was definitely the spa bath/Jacuzzi. 😍 It made the stay feel like a proper little getaway rather than just somewhere to sleep.
I also loved how much space I had. There was a separate living area with a large TV and comfortable seating, a dining/work area, and a proper kitchen with a large fridge, microwave, stove, kettle, toaster and plenty of cupboard space. If you’re staying for a few days and don’t want to eat out all the time, having a full kitchen makes such a difference.
The room gets beautiful natural light, and I loved sitting by the large windows in the morning. The property itself is in a quiet area and is known for its views, which adds to that peaceful, away-from-everything feeling.
Everything felt comfortable and homely while still giving that romantic getaway feeling. There’s also free Wi-Fi and private parking, and the guest house has a pool and other facilities on the property.
Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at Weston Guest House and would definitely stay here again. I’d especially recommend it for couples, a relaxing weekend away, or even a solo stay when you just want somewhere peaceful, spacious and comfortable.

The rooms are modern, stylish, and impeccably clean, with comfortable beds and thoughtful amenities that made it easy to relax after a long day. The attention to detail throughout the hotel is impressive, creating a luxurious yet comfortable atmosphere.
One of the biggest highlights is the hotel’s excellent location. It’s conveniently situated close to Sandton City, Nelson Mandela Square, and the Gautrain, making it an ideal choice for both business and leisure travellers.
The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of fresh, delicious options, and every meal I had at the restaurant was of excellent quality. The facilities, including the gym, pool, and spa, are well maintained and add tremendous value to the overall experience.
What truly sets The Catalyst apart is the exceptional customer service. Every member of staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was enjoyable, always greeting guests with a smile and a willingness to help.
If you’re looking for a modern, comfortable, and well-located hotel in Johannesburg, I highly recommend The Catalyst Hotel. It offers outstanding value for money and delivers a level of hospitality that makes you want to return. I will definitely be staying here again on my next visit to Sandton.

VVeleI had the best time just relaxing at the hotel . The staff were very friendly and because it was my birthday they upgraded my room and gave me free breakfast . I had an amazing time and I can’t wait to go back .
Room services was also really great and the views were amazing .
