Hotel 3-Bintang di Flanders Barat, Belgium

This hotel is in a great location right behind the belfry tower so it’s close to everything. I arrived at the hotel very early so I left my bags and went out exploring. I came back just after 3pm and they said room is still not ready, but one staff intervened and I was then upgraded to a slightly larger room that was ready. That same staff member at reception was extremely helpful with directing me to Wasbar in the market square where you can wash and dry your clothes for very cheap compared to the hotel service which is so expensive. This was after I told her the hotel service was too expensive she offered alternatives and I am grateful for that.

The location is very good, right in the city centre. Walking distance to attraction places and it only takes minutes. The only dislike thing about this place was we booked 2 rooms, our room is fine,but my parents room is super smelly, the carpet stink all over the room. Recommend ppl come to this place, ask the hotel staff for the upper floors room.

The staff was great. Very helpful and knowledgeable. I like the location of the hotel. Close to train station and good restaurants. I did not like the newly renovated rooms. The lack of furniture and poor lighting was disappointing. The furniture that was in the room was from IKEA or similar. No chair, desk or bureau. I rated the hotel very good because of the staff.

This is a good place to stop over. The bikes at 10 Euros makes it a very good location. Very family orientated. A bit annoying having the laundry lorry outside your room at 7am but overall I would recommend and return. Towels are very small for some reason

De locatie van het hotel lag ons wat moeilijk,we hadden over het hoofd gezien dat we bijna 2 km van het centrum van Nieuwpoort en de dichtsbijzijnde tramhalte waren. Parkeren op het terrein van het hotel bleek €17 te kosten per dag,zijnde €0,80 per uur,we hebben daar wijselijk voor bedankt en onze wagen langs de straat gezet ( gratis) Op het hotel was niets aan te merken,alles was in orde,maar dat mocht dan ook wel voor de prijs die we betaalden in volle seizoen (eerste helft augustus) Ontbijt is €18 per persoon en per dag...maar was uitgebreid en constant was alles bijgevuld,alleen spijtig dat het Engels ontbijt zo goed als koud was,blijkbaar werkt de warmhoudplaat niet goed ( ?? ) Drankjes zijn heel duur in het hotel,merkelijk duurder dan in het centrum va Nieuwpoort.

This hotel is in an excellent central location, close to all the shops, square and museums and close to the station and car park. It is welcoming, clean and cosy and had everything we needed the shower was hot and bedroom spacious and authentic. The atmosphere was friendly and nice with candles burning and character. The only complaint is the pillows were very small and seemed more decorative rather than comfy and there was only one each which was quite uncomfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and return again. Lovely stay

A viagem para Bruges foi uma parada alternativa, em razão de uma viagem cancelada pela Eurostar. Numa pesquisa, verifiquei um preço atrativo, porém, sem café da manhã. Além disso, fomos surpreendidos ao sermos conduzidos para um anexo do hotel que fica a cerca de 100 mts de onde fomos recepcionados, o que não nos agradou. Quanto aos funcionários, todos foram atenciosos e educados conosco.

Très bien situé. Belle clarté. Mini cuisine. Une brosse pour la vaisselle. Pas de lavette ni d éponge. La hotte très grasse. Boulloire électrique et café soluble. Une cafetière ou équivalent serait le bienvenu puisque pas de petit dej sur place. Literie canapé lit dure. Ecoulement Lavabo sdb très très llent. A rafraîchir dans l ensemble.

My partner and I travelled to Ibis Kortrijk on the way back from the alps for a few night. When we arrived, the reception were polite and informative which we appreciated greatly. We were given a room card on the third floor, the corridors were dark and outdated making it an unpleasant feeling. Our room was no better, photos online of the rooms are very misleading and after we paid over £200 for 2 nights, we were not happy with the room considering we were shown different photos of our room when booking. We went back to reception and asked to upgrade our room, in the end we ended up spending £220 for 2 nights which is obscured for an ibis hotel. We also paid an additional €20 for late departure (17;00 instead of 12;00) as we had a late euro tunnel to catch. The following morning, the breakfast was okay. The yoghurt was all curdled, there were flys on the food and fresh food wasn’t brought out regularly. Once the fruit in the clear container was done, they didn’t bring more out?? The bread and meat however was lovely. But this area needs improvement. The room key cards also disactivated themselves so frequently. We would go out to explore, come back and doesn’t work on the room, so we made numerous trips to and from reception getting this sorted. Parking was near the hotel, but at an underground car park. No street parking nearby. For 2 nights in the hotel, parking cost us €55. €55 for parking, €240 for the hotel including late departure in means almost €300 for 2 nights at an ibis!!!!! The bed was comfy, but the towels in the bathroom were big enough to cover 1 leg, let alone a whole body. The bathrooms were also not particularly clean which again is such a shame, these are such small things to get right! Finally when we came to departure, it came to 12;00 and we had people knocking on the door waking us up as we were trying to get final bits of sleep before a long journey to say we need to leave and we had explained we weren’t checking out until 5. We then go back to bed and at 12;30 reception called saying we’re 30 mins late from checkout???? We had paid the additional €20 for late checkout and this should’ve been communicated and added to the system as we were woken up twice from this which again isn’t on. Overall a pretty disappointing stay. Save your money and go elsewhere!!

Lovely quaint hotel in an old beautiful building. Service was excellent and our stay was just fine. Great location. Parking on the street. The hotel does not have an elevator so people with problems with stairs should be aware. Breakfast was good and fresh. Our bed was very comfortable. Would stay there again.

Pleasant stay in my place of birth Zeebrugge...Hotel Monaco is situated near the beach promenade of this harbour town....super friendly staff, the manager Sebastian even offered me a lift if taxi's to busy and hard to get...room spotless with massive TV which included You Tube and Netflix...I didn't take breakfast (which is extra) due to a busy schedule, but saw the display with salmon even included (Continental ) a lift to all floors and an outside area for smokers...train station 2 minutes away (in front of the hotel) and the gate way to Bruges...I will be back!!

Excellent two day stay in Hotel Albert I. Very good breakfast served at the table, very clean, warm and silent rooms. Very nice hospitality (thanks for providing me whisky :)). Everyone in the family enjoyed the hotel. Very near the town centre. Thanks for the restaurant tips. We will come back :)

We saw this hotel referenced in a book by Rick Steves and booked it for a three night stay. The hotel is family owned and in a quiet portion of Bruges, away from the tourist crowds on the main square. We opted for a first floor room with a view of one of the canals that run through the city. The room was well appointed with a wonderful walk-in shower. Breakfast in the morning included hot items such as scrambled eggs as well as the normal European spread of cold meats and cheeses. The croissants and pastries were delicious. The hotel staff was very helpful and recommended several different local restaurants, all within an easy walk.

The Hotel was nice but our room was quite poor in quality. We were in room 462 on the corner of the building and the windows isulation was deficient and the heater was not sufficient to warm up the room. We felt the wind gowing through the windows... 17° in the room (we could meter the temperature with the babyphone of our child). So it was not ideal with a baby. The restaurant and the bar are very nice, so at least we had a recomfort being there with our kid. We wanted to enjoy the swimming pool with our kid where it is allowed, but the pool was quite cold, so impossible. I expected a heated pool as it is in a wellness hotel. No judgement here, it was not a promise but I expected it.

Prachtige grote kamer, zeer goede ligging, uitstekend ontbijt. En bovenal ontzettend vriendelijke eigenaar. Het licht in de badkamer was kapot, maar werd meteen gemaakt.Kamer en badkamer op en top netjes. Vlakbij het strand en het ******. Betaald (en betaalbaar) parkeren om de hoek.

the hotel needs updating but we spent a lovely few days there everywhere in the hotel is clean the room was very comfortable with a very large balcony but does need updating but saying that usb charger available and a Dyson airco unit the staff very friendly breakfast had a very good spread and the best tasting jams ive ever had in a hotel not the usual industrial crap but real fruit jams very special location is great minutes from the beach restaurants and shops and 15 minute walk from the train station hotel bar was good very cheap and a nice place to end the night in peace and quiet we have now added this hotel to our list of ostend hotels which we will return to when we next have the chance to visit the area again

Excellent hotel and great location, everything is very nearby. The zeeparking is only 5 minutes away. The Kursaal is around the corner. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is outstanding, never had such an exceptional breakfast. So much choice of many types of bread, pastries, fruit, cheese, yoghurt, cereals to much to mention.
