Perfectly situated for exploring Plymouth and all it has to offer, restaurants, shops , cinema , cafés, Barbican, the Hoe all within easy walking distance , buses and train station all easily accessible from here . Check in and out easy , staff very friendly and helpful, was travelling with my granddaughter so safety was upmost for me , and we certainly felt safe here . Beds , pillows very comfortable, room very clean no complaints as best nights sleep ever for both of us , very peaceful and quiet rooms , lack of drawer space for 2 ppl for four nights was a pain but not major , room was large and easy to move about in . Due to staff shortages our room couldn't be cleaned ( four night stay ) but we were left a bag of clean towels and refills of sugar/ tea / coffee, a letter of apology was also left explaining the situation, I was find with this as room was fine , out most of the time. Breakfast was adequate, hot , plenty of choice, ran out of few items which was disappointing, didn't get any eggs as quhe so long and all gone by the time it our turn , plus eaten the rest of my Breakfast as would've gone cold, tables not cleared quickly enough, had to ask for cutlery and to wipe the table , again down to staff shortages. Didn't eat breakfast again purely because my granddaughter only ever has toast and jam with a cup of apple juice , while I think £13 is reasonable for the breakfast, I'm not paying the same for 2 slices of toast and jam , no fault of the hotel obviously. We had serious issues with door card never working , think it worked on the last day , but all issues dealt with promptly by staff . All in all very good experience, thought it was very overpriced for what is really just a massive travel lodge , rooms are very similar to the many Premier inns and travel lodges around the country. Saying this I'd definitely stay again if visiting Plymouth.

I work in tourism and consequently I’ve visited the Leonardo, Exeter on numerous occasions this year. The staff at the hotel have always been helpful, pleasant and engaging with my guests and Ready to work with me in order to ensure that people have the best possible experience. On My most recent visit, a guest left their mobile phone at the hotel, Geraldine from reception went way above and beyond to ensure that the mobile phone was sent on to be reunited with the guest as soon as possible, and with no fuss. I am very thankful to her for her assistance. All members of staff that I’ve met at the hotel over the past season are worthy of praise, but, unfortunately, I don’t know the names of many, including the very efficient housekeeping team, however, I’m going to list the names of the following from reception and food and beverage, all have whom have helped me tremendously in recent months: Reception - Carly, Geraldine, Sophia, Chloe, Geraldine F&B - Karen & Lymer My thanks to you all!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, staff provided good service from arrival to departure. I had left my property behind on the desk after realising I had forgotten about it. Staff was able to keep it safely for me when I retrieve it.

As always we were greeted with a friendly face and smile at reception,we arrived before check in time but they always check to see if a room is available. On this occasion it wasn't but they happily took our bags in so we could go enjoy our afternoon without the worry of carrying them around. Check in was quick and simple and we were in our room within 5 mins of check in. Room was spacious clean and fresh. We were given a twin room this time which was perfect as I was traveling with a friend not partner. Bed was super comfy with great pillows. Shower was really nice ,decent water pressure and the shower gel provided was lovely too. Breakfast was a big selection of the normal cooked,everything was fresh and tasty,bacon was slightly over cooked but the rest was great. Nice selection of pastries too. Continental is also an option there. Fresh juices and hot drink available also. Overall another 5* stay in my opinion and as a regular user will be returning again in the nr future! Thankyou Hilton.

We booked this Hotel mainly because it is right opposite the Plymouth Pavilions where we were attending a concert but we would go there again anyway. It is a beautiful old world Hotel and like stepping back in time. Obviously needs a bit of maintenance but that isn't surprising when the building is so old. We loved the whole experience of this charming Hotel. The breakfast was excellent and hot and served at your table. The Dinner was also excellent. All the Staff were helpful and very friendly, especially the two ladies at the Reception. We would definitely stay there again. Truly a unique experience.

I stayed at The Moxy whilst recovering from a fall at home. I needed an accessible room as I have underlying mobility difficulties. I could not have chosen a better place to start my recuperation. From the moment I arrived at reception I was treated like a VIP. The lobby at The Moxy is light and airy with a clever sea theme befitting of Britain's Ocean City. I had a wonderfully warm greeting and was given a room upgrade because of the length of my stay. Even in these initial stages the staff were attentive and kind. The reception area has maps available for visitors and an assortment of items which you might have forgotten to pack (in my case a toothbrush!) My room, which I understand was a family suite, was sleek, modern and huge, with a separate lounge area with it's own TV. There was plenty of storage here, and in the large accessible bathroom. Everything was spotlessly clean, in good order and the decor was restful and attractive. The bed was large and exceedingly comfortable. For those who have a certain preference there is a pillow menu, and a variety of bedding is available according to taste. Despite the bar below being open 24 hours, there was literally no noise to disturb my sleep in the room above. The hotel sits in an area of regeneration and there is some construction noise in the morning, but in general the hotel is perfectly placed a short distance from the centre and with many good eateries within easy reach. Breakfast in the morning is served til 10:30 on weekdays and is an absolute triumph. It's provided buffet style with the most variety of choice I have ever seen in a hotel. There is everything imaginable available, and all dietary requirements are catered. I eat plant-based and found soya yoghurt, pastries, cereals, milks and vegan sausages as well as the usual beans, hash browns etc. A nice touch was that on a Sunday, things are turned up a notch further with even more variety in the breakfast available. Aside from the wonderful breakfast, guests can also choose to eat other meals in the bar. There is quite an extensive menu, and it's very good value for money. During my stay I tried all of the options available to me, and I was pleasantly impressed. Do not be fooled ... the 'small plates' for smaller appetites are actually very generous. I stayed for almost 3 weeks, and I still hadn't mastered not over ordering by the time I left! The thing that sets The Moxy apart from other hotels I've stayed in is the exceptional staff. Every single one of ”The Crew” merits special mention, but sadly I did not get everyone's name. They are friendly, cheerful and go out of their way to be helpful. They seem to be genuinely delighted to be part of the team and it shows in the way they interact with the guests. I was lucky enough to celebrate my birthday whilst staying at the Moxy and all the staff pulled out all the stops to ensure that I had a memorable day. The service was very good very polite staff we used the swimming , sauna and loved it very easy just sign in and enjoy for as long as you like. The food was superb. Will definitely be going there again and I will be spreading the word .

Excellent location close to the central train station and town centre. There is a beautiful garden right opposite the hotel. The room was spacious and clean. Helpful and kind staff at the reception.

Great customer service was very good. The room was great size with big Queen size beds very comfortable. The carpets could do with being replaced as stained. Only negative was some people near our room were noisy.

Secure underground parking. Located at the ‘top’ of the city’s pedestrian avenue All local shops,restaurants, railway station within easy walking distance. Hotel rooms are very clean and comfortable with all the usual amenities tea, coffee, hair dryer, ironing board, TV, telephone, combination safe for valuables and good seating. USB ports and power points. House keeping is very efficient both for rooms and the hotel services are excellent The restaurant offers a wide and varied menu for all meals Pricing is competitive and quality is high

Thought I would say a few words about The Imperial Plymouth. Had a family event at short notice and was looking for a hotel centrally based in Plymouth with parking and good value, well i found it with The imperial Plymouth. I contacted reception and asked about late arrival, Rachel could not have done more, she left a key , took photos and sent instructions how to access my room. The room was in fact a fully self contained unit with cooker kettle microwave etc AND was very clean with all tea coffee provided. I will only ever stay in this hotel when visiting Plymouth. Lovely location, lovely room, I arrived at 2am and woke to late for breakfast, at 10am i hot a knock on the door and received a sausage sandwich the lady Rachel had seen i had missed breakfast and brought me something to eat. Fabulous staff. Fabulous service. An excellent customer service team. And excellent hospitality. Thank you Rachel. Thank you The imperial Hotel. You really did go the extra mile. Stayed here for my wives birthday, the team did a wonderful job of making the day special, we had booked into the Lady Jane suite which was just perfect, enjoying a couple of Spa treatments and access to the spa facilities which were fantastic. Then down for a meal in the evening at the Acleaf restaurant where the staff continued the excellent service and knowledge of the food. The staff across the site were amazing, professional and just a pleasure to interact with along. 100% will be coming back and would encourage anyone else to go and spend a night too!

What a lovely place. It was old yet modern, rooms were very clean. We had a family room which had a separate-ish room that our children slept in, along with an en-suite bathroom and dressing room. The freshly cooked breakfasts were exceptional, and you can choose what you want. It was a stone's throw from the Hoe and 15 minutes walk along the Hoe to the National Aquarium, which was the reason we visited. The staff were very friendly, the beds were comfortable and it has a licensed bar open until 9pm with a quiet and comfortable drinking area. It was 20 mins walk from the station, I would highly recommend it.

We arrived at Exeter by train to see a friend who lived there and had to look for an accessible hotel. On the Internet, we came across Hotel Indigo, the site of the former House of Fraser dept store. With my wife in a wheelchair, the reception staff showed us a step-free entrance, as the main entrance is approached with steps. The staff were very friendly and polite and treated us well. Our room was spacious, clean, and well-kept. My wife loved the bathroom with its chessboard floor tiling and marble sink surrounds. She was also impressed with the quaint tea cups. We turned down in-house breakfast, as we thought that £20 each every morning was exorbitant! That's £40 for the two of us, and for four mornings, breakfast alone would have set us back £160. However, while my wife was having an afternoon nap in our room, I went down to the basement for a two-hour spa session. This includes a bubble bath, steam room and sauna. The price for the spa for non-residents was £30, but by giving my room number, I paid £20. Booking is recommended. The hotel is a couple of minutes from the Cathedral, and although our window looked over the High Street, there was no overnight traffic noise. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Exeter.

We stayed because our husbands were going to the rugby and the girls having a trip into Exeter. Location of the hotel was perfect not a long walk to the train station for us to get into town. On arrival at 12.30 reception was full queues of people trying to check in or leave bags. A man was sent out to take our car registration and names and then we could wait in the bar until they were ready for us. The boys waited in the bar and we headed off. They were checked in before 3 when they had to leave for the rugby which was good but to be honest we knew we were early and would have been happy leaving the luggage. We were told out of the 3 couples we had an upgrade to what turned out to be an accessible room and to be honest it isn’t an upgrade. I would have preferred the room we had booked which certainly wasn’t accessible. One of the other couples was over charged by £70 on check in - which we did sort out on our return. Whilst shopping we checked to see if our mobile key was ready but no we had to go to check in and do that on return to the hotel so they could Id us seems to defeat the object. On arrival back joined a queue again to activate the mobile key. It seems to be the longest slowest check of any hotel I have stayed in. When we finally got to the front we were given a normal key as it might take a while for the mobile one to work. Good job because it took nearly an hour to activate and then when I tried it it wouldn’t work with my phone. We then went to the bar before dinner again it was packed we managed to get a table but only 2 servers so wait for drinks was a little long. Price was ok. We had a table booked in the view for dinner and the food was lovely and reasonably priced. Again restaurant was very busy but the staff were lovely. Couldn’t have water. On the table as the waitress informed us they had run out of jugs, we said we would wait but she said no they had no jugs? She had to keep topping up from a bottle and she wasn’t allowed to leave the bottle on the table. Perhaps a trip to the next door IKEA May have sorted that. The main meal came with various items missing off of each plate, salsa, salad and chips. Overall was nice though. Breakfast was an another matter, we sat in the bar as the restaurant was packed. The design of the restaurant for breakfast is awful. People queueing for hot food past the croissants and bread and toaster so someone is always in the way. The fruit and cold meat and cheeses on the end of the hot line so missed by a lot of people. Only Greek or soya p,Ian yoghurt noth8ng flavoured, ran out of compote and fruit. Had to ask for the orange juice to be topped up. Just very disorganised and badly set out. Now I know it was a busy rugby weekend but the hotel are obviously fully aware of this. The staff were pleasant and the food in the evening lovely, in the morning ok. The room was clean and lovely - definitely not an upgrade though so please don’t make out it was. As usual with my frequent visit to this area I find Woodbury Park hotel has been my preferred place to stay. Staff are lovely kind and helpful. It’s a beautiful hotel satin a very picturesque location surrounded by pleasant scenery. Hotels and rooms are very clean and well attended to. Restaurant services are clean and impeccable. Credit goes to the chefs and the team who managed the service. I have had a pleasant breakfast service during my stay at Woodbury. I hope the staff and the team at Woodbury keep up the good work and encourage us to use them during my future trips to the area.

Very pleased with our overnight stay at Exeter Court Hotel. Ideal location for us, the room was spotless with everything supplied for our use. Excellent breakfast and all the staff very attentive. Will definitely stay again if the occasion arises.

Basically I wanted to get away but I didn't like the vibe so I left. However, the staff were great, the rooms were clean and I was able to leave when I wanted to. There was also live music and the musician was good. There is a good dance floor.

Location and view are fantastic, facilities are good, there's no denying it's an old hotel and that comes with some quirks and even a few areas that are a bit rough round the edges but it's not advertised as the 5 star hotel it once was. So as a 4 star I'd recommend it to anyone, the staff and cleanliness of room couldn't be faulted!! My only real gripe / area that needs some more immediate attention is please get an EV charger or two!

All in all it was so amazing weekend The only thing needed a refrigerator in the room otherwise everything was totally fine

Unfortunately for us , our stay at this hotel was marred badly by the dreadfully dirty room we had ; I am sure it was a health hazard . On arrival, the room we were allocated was very small, but more to the point it was MOULDY - walls, windows etc . :( I went to reception where the lady there was so lovely, she was very apologetic and sympathetic and called the Manager , who was equally as pleasant and helpful and very considerate . She showed us another 2 rooms , one of which seemed light and more airy - we thought . Sadly, upon further inspection, which came to light when I tried to open the windows for some air as it was very hot and stuffy and as I am asthmatic, it would have been good to get some fresh air through - but oh dear, this was not to be .The window frames were thick with black and we could not open any . The bathroom was very , very grubby , the bed frame worn right through, the bedroom chair full of dust and grime - we were not sure if we could see mites on one side of the chair- it was so dirty we would not sit in ti and the whole feel of the room made you feel cringy , like you needed a real good scrub! I could not believe it, it ruined the stay . The shower slip mat was mouldy , the windows rattled every time traffic went by . The pillows were biscuit thin . The bed was the worst I have ever slept in - hard, lumpy, could feel the springs , no mattress topper . :( Goodness, I didn't htink rooms like this existed in this day and age !! Absolute health hazard x 2 !! We had tried twice!! There was so much grime in the bathroom , I cringed having to wash in there. We would never use this hotel again ever, and that is a shame as their facilities are good , evening entertainment good , Bistro gets our vote entirely as all staff in there were lovely and friendly, and the food in there was excellent and very good value for money - I highly recommend ! But when you are staying, your room, to me , forms your home for the week, and ours , despite the hotel's efforts , was dreadful. Such a huge disappointment . I am not a person who would normally have this much to say - but our stay was, as I say , runied , knowing we had to go back to this awful grime ridden room each night . I did not see any point asking again - what would be next ?? So, sorry , Derwent , but keeping just your public area's clean and negelcting rooms to the point we had, we will not return, nor, so our 3 friends who were with us , say neither will they . We even considered going and booking another hotel whilst there but that would have meant, of course, we would have paid double for a stay ? Never seen such dirt . Food in restaurant = mmm , presentation not good, sloppy looking meals , tepid temperatures. Bistro food and service = 10 / 10 - Thank you , Aztec Bistro !

I have to say after reading some of the previous reviews I was pleasantly surprised by our short stay here. We hadn't planned on going anywhere this year as we're currently renovating our cottage but we all needed a break. Being extremely last minute and the fact there were six of us we didn't have many options, Tor Park had mixed reviews but we figured for the reasonable price we'd risk it. We stayed for two nights in two family rooms, on arrival our sat nav brought us directly to the hotel. Luckily we got a parking space, check in did take a little while but the gentleman dealing with us was friendly and professional. Our rooms were nothing like the photos that are being uploaded by other guests. They were clean, nothing was broken and I'd say in a fair state which is what you'd expect paying the prices they charge. Beds were fairly comfortable, we all slept well. One room was extremely hot but they provided fans. We walked into Torquay on both evenings which was a pleasant walk, if we needed somewhere to stay in Torquay again we would most definitely consider coming back.
