Our stay was absolutely delightful! As the hotel had only been open for a few days, everything felt incredibly new and fresh, from the ambiance to all the facilities. The breakfast was a winner – absolutely delicious with a fantastic array of authentic local Indonesian dishes. It's also very kid-friendly, with a playground that kept the children excited and entertained. Just a couple of minor points for consideration: the room amenities service might still be in its initial adaptation phase (for example, initially only one toothbrush was provided in the room) and the TV isn't a Smart TV yet. However, these are completely understandable for a newly opened hotel and didn't detract from our comfort at all. Overall, it was a very satisfying and highly recommended experience! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We really liked our accommodation and initially we booked it to hike mount Ijen, however pick up would be around 01:00 so we decided to skip it. Breakfast was good, would recommend including it. Rooms were nice and spacious, bathroom was a bit dated, could use some work. Staff very friendly but because of a language barrier we assumed laundry was free, at least that's what some staff member told us after we asked. However it was as seen on the booking just 2 pieces a night (f.e. 2 shirts). At the bar the sold beers that were not on the menu. Beers on the menu were advertised with a price that included service charge and tax. The Beers they actually had and sold didn't have that included. All in all we really liked our stay but these were some experience that were a tad disappointing. In the end I still highly recommend to stay here to relax.

Overall, my stay was quite good. The staff service was friendly, and the hotel facilities were comfortable. However, there are a few things that could be improved for the future. During check-in, it was already close to 2:30 PM. When I asked when the room would be ready, I was told to wait and that I would be called. Given that the check-in time had already passed, I had hoped the room would be available sooner, as it cut into guests' rest time. For a reputable hotel like Aston, I believe timely room availability is a crucial part of a comfortable stay. In fact, at some other hotels in the same area, rooms are accessible even earlier. Furthermore, I believe the breakfast food options could be improved. Considering Aston's standard and reputation, I had hoped for a more appealing and diverse menu to provide a more memorable experience for guests. Thank you for the service provided. I hope this feedback can be used for evaluation to enhance the quality of services in the future.

Exceeded my expectations! The location is super convenient, close to both business areas and attractions. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the bedding was as soft as ever, making it incredibly easy to sleep. The service was thoughtful; I felt warmth and smiles from check-in to check-out. Breakfast was abundant, offering both international cuisine and authentic Indonesian flavors. The pool had an expansive view, perfect for gazing at the city skyline. Suitable for both business and leisure.

I stayed at the hotel during my trip to Indonesian Volcano. The room was very large. However, it took about an hour from the hotel to the jeep transfer point to get to the volcano, as it took 5 o'clock to reach the viewing point.

Indonesia offers a wide variety of accommodations, and I chose this one because a friend who visited last year raved about it! I saved it as a potential option, and later, when I started looking into volcano tours in Indonesia, I realized I could combine both! So, the 'breakfast date with giraffes' on my bucket list was finally checked off! Quick review: Diverse experiences, excellent breakfast, and simple yet tasteful rooms (not super luxurious). Highly recommended for animal lovers!

Great hotel for families with young kids - big heated pool with giant water slides. Breakfast has all kinds of Indonesian, Asian ans western choices. The stay comes with complimentary family photo session where you get one free printed photo with frame and you can pay for additional digital photos. The photographer is great with kids and very patient. Will come back!

After visiting the waterfalls and volcanoes, I was exhausted when I returned to Surabaya, but checking into this hotel was so comfortable. The environment is great, and the front desk staff are very welcoming. The hotel's location is also excellent; even though I was too tired to shop, a walk around the area was very pleasant. Surabaya is much cleaner and prettier than Jakarta. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Surabaya.
