Batu has been one of my favorite destinations in Indonesia and this is mainly thanks to this hotel. The place was magnificent, the breakfast incredible but more than that all the staff were super nice and welcoming the servers, the cooks, the security, the room staff and the reception staff!!!

To get a good night's rest before climbing Mount Bromo, I booked this hotel in downtown Surabaya. The hotel was inexpensive but offered standard five-star service and facilities. Before checking out, I visited the hotel's restaurant; compared to other eateries nearby, the food was tasty and affordable. The only minor drawback was that the staff's English proficiency was limited, making communication a bit difficult.

Likely the best hotel in the area. The rooftop bar has a fantastic atmosphere, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.

Overall OK, good location, easy access & so many cafe nearby. Even the breakfast also so good like so many local foods that can try. Just one thing no iron inside the room & asking to send iron to room they just take note but not send the iron .

This is my second stay here, and I absolutely loved all the friendly staff. I'll definitely be back, but next time I'll request a room on the 17th floor. This room is perfectly fine if you're just looking for a place to rest.

The hotel is clean and spacious. Very well located in the centre of the city with Jl. Tunjungan just outside of the hotel. The soundproofing is very good that we barely hear any noise from a construction site just beside the hotel. Breakfast is excellent with plenty of food choices and tasty though. Highly recommended.

love everything about this hotel! breakfast was quite good with many selections, service was excellent, next to a mall and room was one of the best in surabaya so far! this hotel is considered quite old but they still managed to keep everything like new and clean. def recommend and will be back ❤️

RRose AnnWe use this place every time we go to Ijen to do birdwatching for years.
Room is ok with warm and good water pressure.
They have western and local restaurant on site. The Western one was ok but the local restaurant is always a no and serve poor quality food, the warung can serve better Nasi goreng than in here. Some of the server in the local restaurant are lack of training.

SSabrinaHishamWe recently spent 3 days and 2 nights at Baobab Safari Hotel for a family vacation, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and always ready to help.
The highlight for us was definitely the room with a balcony overlooking the animals. Our child was absolutely thrilled watching wildlife right outside our window, which made the stay truly magical. It’s rare to find a hotel where you can relax and enjoy such an immersive nature experience all at once.
Breakfast every morning was a treat, with a fantastic spread that had something for everyone. The variety and quality really impressed us and gave us great energy for the day’s adventures.
Overall, Baobab Safari Hotel exceeded our expectations and we’re already planning our next visit. Highly recommended for families looking for a unique and memorable vacation!

GGuest UserClean, spacious, and very comfortable room. For the price of 613k, it was definitely worth it. Unfortunately, check-in was a hassle. The older receptionist said that the booking details had to match the ID of the person checking in. It took a really long time, it was frustrating, and I ended up getting annoyed. However, other staff members were friendly and helped me with my bags to the room, even though I had a lot.

MM40811****All the facilities are clean and quite good in quality. Only 1 shortcomings: the door can't shield the the room from sound in the corridors totally, I can clearly heard the knockings and bell ringing from other rooms at night. But in general, it's still a quite decent hotel to stay.

BBeaunitta van WykOur stay at this cabin-style hotel was a unique experience, with a few pros and cons worth noting.
The cabins are very clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed. The concept itself is quite cool—each cabin blends technology and nature. Upon arrival, we were asked to download an app that controls everything: locking/unlocking the door, ordering food, communicating with staff, adjusting lighting, and controlling the window frosting. Inside the cabin, there’s also a built-in smart device that does the same, plus displays the weather, date, and even allows you to play music.
The staff were incredibly friendly. When we mentioned we were cold, they brought extra bedding, which was much appreciated.
Unfortunately, there were two major downsides. First, when we arrived late at night, we discovered there was no hot water—an especially unpleasant surprise since it was cold. There was no heating in the room either. The hotel sent an engineer to help, and by the next day we had hot water, but it was still limited. Second, while breakfast was included in our booking, we were disappointed to learn that coffee was not, and each person could only choose one meal from the menu. This wasn’t clearly communicated beforehand.
The view from the cabin is stunning—you can see Mount Bromo right from your room. Sadly, the weather didn’t cooperate during our visit, so we couldn’t fully enjoy it. The food menu at the hotel is great, with several good options to choose from.
This hotel offers a clean, innovative stay with beautiful views and excellent staff. However, clearer communication about included amenities and resolving issues like hot water availability would really elevate the overall experience.

TThais Carolina 14We came from Malaysia and stayed at Shangri-La Surabaya with our baby and family and it was a perfect experience from start to finish. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and always made sure we were comfortable. They treated our baby with so much care, even preparing a baby cot and warm water whenever needed.
