Be careful of being unknowingly charged with a ‘discussionary charge of tips’ (supposed to be A Conpulsory charge of tips, don’t be fool by the name, it is non-discussionary) AFTER CHECKING OUT of the hotel. I was being charged with a discussionary charge of the tips on the credit card automatically without being informed upfront after I checked out and left the hotel. When I checked out, i was informed at the counter that they were closing their account for previous day and they would help me check out my room and email me the invoice of my stay after they finished closing account. As a result, I innocently left the hotel since I thought a 5-star hotel would not have anything gone wrong. However, I was totally wrong until I saw extra charges on my credit card while not receiving any so called invoice from the hotel at all. I then reached out to Trip.com to request for the invoice that they have promised to send to me and it was then I was informed that the extra charges were from a discussionary charge of tips. I wasn’t happy about the way this was done hence I requested for a refund for this since it clearly stated this is a DISCUSSIONARY fee, not a compulsory fee. However, I was informed that this is a Non-refundable fee and my request was denied. Out of so many hotels I have stayed, it is unbelievable that in a 5-Star hotel, I was forced to pay something that wasn’t even being informed upfront. In addition, with the fee name suggested, it is a discussionary charge of tips NOT a compulsory charge of tips, the hotel has forced the customers to pay it as COMPULSORY CHARGE OF TIPS. In addition, the hotel services were very inefficient and lot of rooms for improve. We ordered for an in-room meal and we were told that it would take about half an hour to deliver. Hence we waited, and until an hour later, there was no update on our meal and we had to make a call again to check for the progress of our meal. It was then we knew there was a delay in the meal. By the time we done with our meal, we made the call again to request for someone to collect the plates, we literally waited for more than an hour and had to call twice before someone came to pick up the plates. This shouldn’t have been the service received in a 5-star hotel and the worst of all, the hotel should have more transparency in their charges and should have informed the customers on the charges upfront before the actual charging. When we signed for the amount paid for the meal, there were no statement on the discussionary charge of tips at all, and we didn’t expect there would be as we were not even informed. It is not that we are unwilling to give the tips and we did give the tips during the stay. However, it made us very uncomfortable that we weren’t informed anything upfront and it was charged to my credit card AFTER we CHECKED OUT of THE HOTEL. It made us feeling very unsafe to provide the credit card to the hotel as they can charge whatever charges they want after checking out the hotel. In addition, it is a discussionary charge, isn’t it should be discussed before I was being charged? If not it should be called a a compulsory charge of tips.

A very nice hotel in prime position for the O2. The room was lovely with some nice touches such as independently controlled speaker in the bathroom so you could stream music via TV. One observation would be the mini bar… ludicrously expensive and sensor controlled! £4 for a Kit Kat, and from memory over £6 for a snack pot of Pringles, I totally get the “convenience“ but this in my mind let the stay down a bit. Do not remove anything from it even to look as you will be charged

A lovely hotel with excellent staff in a fantastic location. The concierge was brilliant, very attentive. He kept an eye out for the guests at all time, almost like he had catered to your needs before you even knew what you wanted! The breakfast was really nice. I was tempted by the Indian breakfast but had to try to full English after reading reviews mentioning how nice it was, it did not disappoint. I would definitely have the Indian breakfast if I had the opportunity to stay again. The room was well maintained, every little detail was thought of. The location is great, just round the corner from tower bridge and an easy walk to London Bridge station. We would definitely stay again.

I had the most memorable time today with my afternoon tea experience with my mum. We were celebrating a special birthday and Daniele made this an unforgettable experience. I would definitely recommend this for the wonderful food, exceptional service and atmosphere.

My family of four arrived here for 3 nights, coming in to Heathrow from the US, taking the Express to Paddington station. 5 minute walk, we were tired from the long flight, they immediately helped us with our luggage and got us in early to our room. Hotels in London are painfully expensive; more so with a family; rooms tend to be small, worn, with tight hallways and stairs, lifts that are cramped and not working, and if AC is featured, it breaks down or does little. This hotel is a breath of fresh air. Not cheap, but clean, friendly, new and comfortable. We had a 2 room connecting family unit with AC(didn't need it, London was over it's heat wave), 3 comfy beds, 2 baths with plenty of hot water, Tea, coffee and water is on every floor. I used the small, by reservation, gym which had a Peloton bike. Elevators, we used 2, worked efficently. There's a cafe in the lobby featuring vegetarian food, very busy in the morning. Plenty of local restaurants near. We enjoyed Bizzarro Itallan. Good to call ahead for reservations this time of year anywhere in the city. Easy to ride the tube to various sites, theatre(which we did each night). It's a quiet, safe, residential neighborhood. Small grocer and laundry(which we used) just down the street. After much research, I don't think there's a better place in the area. Staff very attentive. Part of the Park Grand hotels.

Stunning hotel in the center of London just a stone throw away from the tube and right in opposite of Russel Square. The standard rooms are not necessarily large but I stayed at the Park Suite which was spacious with a beautiful view, a beautiful fireplace and a lovely bath tube 😀 Breakfast was included and can be eaten in two restaurants. One is a la carte and the other one is buffet style. Service is good with friendly staff 👌

I am writing to express my disappointment with the service provided by your hotel during my recent stay. As you are aware, I had booked a twin bed room at your esteemed five-star hotel in central location. However, upon arriving at the reception, I was informed that the room was not available. Instead, I was given a room with one double bed for two adult males. This was unacceptable and completely contrary to my booking request. As a guest, I expect the hotel to honor my booking and provide the room that I had reserved. Moreover, I trusted your hotel to provide top-notch service given the reputation and standard of a five-star hotel. This level of incompetency and disregard for the customer's booking request is not what I expected and is unacceptable. Therefore, I am requesting a refund for the room that I stayed in as it did not meet my expectations or fulfill my booking requirements. I would appreciate it if you could process the refund as soon as possible. I hope that in the future, your hotel will ensure that such incidents do not occur and that all guests receive the room that they have reserved. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
