The full name is Universal Beijing Resort Official App (ID 1535766300 in the App Store). The app was created specifically for the Beijing park: versions for Osaka or Singapore won't work, as each park has its own platform. The interface is available in Chinese and English; there is no Russian localization, but the navigation is intuitive.

How to download apps on iPhone and Android from Russia

The park's official website has a download page with links for iOS and Android, as well as QR codes for the mini-programs.

iPhone (iOS)

Open the App Store and search for "Universal Beijing Resort" — the app is available in the App Store of various countries, including Russia. It's free to download. Once installed, the app opens in English by default — there's no need to switch your account region or use a VPN. Before your trip, it's a good idea to make sure you have the latest version of the app installed.

Android

There is no official app on Google Play. The download page on the official website features a QR code for downloading, as well as direct links to Chinese app stores—Huawei AppGallery, vivo App Store, and Xiaomi GetApps. While it is technically possible to download from there while in Russia, you will need to register for one of these stores, and the interface will be in Chinese.

It is not recommended to download APK files from third-party sites due to the risk of counterfeiting.

Can I register with a Malaysia phone number?

Registering in the app requires a phone number and SMS verification. The system is designed for Chinese numbers: while the form supports selecting an international country code, including +7, SMS codes often fail to arrive for Russian and other foreign numbers. According to feedback from international users, this is one of the most common points of failure—it's exactly where most people get stuck.

What the process looks like

1. Open the app and tap Sign Up.
2. Select your country code — for Malaysia, it's +60.
3. Enter your phone number and request an SMS code.
4. If the code doesn't arrive within a few minutes, resending it usually doesn't help. The issue is on the server side, not with your phone or mobile carrier.

What to do if you don't receive the code

If Alipay is already set up and linked to an international card, you can use it to log in to the app—no SMS required. However, this method is unstable: since late 2025, linking foreign cards to Alipay has become more difficult, so it's best not to rely on it.

If neither the app nor the mini-program is installed, you can view basic information (park map, list of attractions, show schedule) on the park's official website via a mobile browser. Purchasing tickets on the site redirects you to the app, but the navigation section is accessible without installation.

Ride wait times

Open the map section and select Rides — the current wait time in minutes will be displayed next to each attraction. This data updates in real time, helping you plan your route so you can start with the rides that have the shortest lines.

Show schedule

The Shows section features all performances, parades, and character meet-and-greets, complete with times and locations. No reservations are needed—admission to shows is free, but it's best to arrive 15–20 minutes before the start time.
