Hotel Dengan Gim di Tyrol, Austria

The Alphotel Innsbruck is probably the worst hotel we've ever stayed at! But we had no choice since we were on a tour package and this was the hotel that Gate1 chose for our itinerary. We weren't the only tour members who did not have a good stay at this hotel. Our tour group had a long day and we were scheduled to arrive late so we were all pretty tired when we arrived. Unfortunately the room we were assigned to didn't even look or feel exceptionally clean and I'm surprised I didn't take photos of the room! Comparing posted photos of the rooms on TA our room looked much older and didn't even have a real chair, but only one of those small round ottomans. And that ottoman was dirty and stained, so we didn't want to sit on that! The bedspread had that ”ick” factor, so we removed it but at least the sheets were clean. Carpet looked grungy so we made sure to wear our slippers and not walk barefoot on it. Regret not taking pictures of the room now. We've stayed at hotels with older or ”tired” decor but they were at least neat and clean, but not at this hotel! Now the ”fun” part was our bathroom door. I was getting ready to take a shower and went into the bathroom, but wanted to use my own soap and toiletries, so I went out of the bathroom and my husband (who was standing in front of the bathroom, looking at the closet or something right across from the bathroom) shut the opaque glass bathroom door. I went back to the bathroom and tried to open the door and it was locked! It was one of those simple privacy type locks where there's usually a pinhole that you can usually press and it'll pop open. Unfortunately, there was no pinhole but a screw so I tried twisting the screw but the door remained locked. Husband tried but it kept turning and he didn't have any tools so he called the front desk and they sent the maintenance guy up. The maintenance guy looked at the door and tried twisting the screw with the same results and said he needed to go get his tools. He returned with his small toolbox and tried several screwdrivers, with no luck. Then he tried using a small drill to remove the screw and still couldn't get the door unlocked. Meanwhile, we were sitting on the bed and watching tv since there was nothing else we could do. I texted our friends who were also traveling in the tour group and assigned to the room right next door to let them know what was happening. And to apologize to them for the loud racket, as the maintenance guy went and got his large power drill and was basically removing the entire door knob and panel. So the guy had to destroy the whole door knob panel because the door lock screw or nut inside the panel was probably stripped and couldn't unlock or open the door; so if I was on the other side of the door I would have been stuck in the bathroom! Other hotel guests across the hall were opening their doors to find out what the loud racket and noises and disturbance was. This whole problem took the poor m

Room very basic but generally adequate. Plus points: God location, nice lobby area and staff were friendly. WiFi seemed ok for me. Negatives: far too warm overnight especially with the very heavy duvet which is the only bedding available, had to leave the window open even though it was -9 C outside, this meant it was very noisy. Not enough pillows, 1 very flat pillow makes for an uncomfortable night for people used to more. I kept migrating to the divot in between the two narrow single beds making up the double as the curve in the mattresses was very pronounced. Not the cleanest room. Little sound proofing inside and very noisy from adjacent rooms. Could hear the person above coughing / sneezing / walking around and even zipping their suitcase at 6am!

My husband and I stayed 3 nights in a deluxe room with Mountain View’s it was super clean and very spacious. The staff couldn’t do enough for you Jonas at reception was just amazing and so so helpful 👍 We had a few drinks down at the bar and the staff there were always ready to help even though it was a busy weekend with the ski jump competition all the staff were amazing love this hotel. We didn’t have breakfast there but I’m sure it would of been good. The hotel is only like a block or two from the train station so that was another plus and to walk to down town Innsbruck was an easy stroll. Went to the ****** but it wasn’t a winner 😩😩😩 Will definitely stay there again if in Innsbruck 👍

Comfortable rooms, great service and good facilities. The bar, pool area and reception all are lovely. Just round the corner to the old town and shopping, restaurants very close by. You can walk to the funicular station for Nordkette. I was very impressed with the excellent service at reception and the bar

the stay was great with the wonderful alps view. appreciate that we have gotten an upgrade making the stay very comfortable. the receptionist was nice and even gave us recommendations and transportation card. location is extremely good, near to the old town. jus to note that the bathroom is quite transparent even though there are curtains to cover. breakfast was ok. overall, the stay was comfortable and pleasant!

The hotel is in a great location with easy parking and a bus stop in the back.The service in the lobby is very good and you can get detailed tour guides.And most importantly!The view outside the window is pleasant.

This is a lovely hotel with extremely helpful staff. They helped us book reservations, with directions, and anything we asked them for, and always with a smile. The rooms are large enough, but most importantly, they are efficient. There is plenty of space in the oversized closet with drawers. There are multiple places to put luggage, a desk, and even a couple of sitting chairs and a table. We were very impressed with their breakfast. Not only did they have a lot of choices, but also many options for gluten-free diners (since I’m GF, I notice that). We were also impressed with the number of staff monitoring the dining room and replacing items as soon as they ran out. This hotel is also well-situated. Just down the street from Congress (Hofburg) and a 10-minute walk to Old Town. We highly recommend this hotel. One example of staff going out of their way for us was the night we decided to eat dinner at the hotel after being out all day and coming back dog tired. It was cold and rainy which precipitated the decision to stay in and eat in the hotel. Unfortunately we found out the hotel does not serve food on Sunday and Monday nights. Melike Y. helped us order a meal online from the equivalent of Uber Eats. Not only did she help us translate the menu and input the order, but she also called the restaurant to ensure they got the special order correct. When we went down to get our dinner the bartender, Ashok G. had plates, napkins, and silverware set out for us to use when our meal arrived. We didn't ask for any of that, he just did it on his own. Now that’s service!! As mentioned, the hotel is very well situated. Just down the street from Congress and about a 10-minute walk to Old Town. It’s right across the street from the Nordkette up to Innsbruck mountain and to the Zoo. Finally, we obviously dropped some money on the floor in our room and it went under the bed. The housekeeping staff found the money and laid it on the nightstand. We never would’ve known if we didn’t see it on the nightstand. The staff at this hotel couldn’t be nicer. We felt like they were family by the end of our stay. We highly recommend this hotel for any type of stay.

I can’t praise these apartments enough. If you are looking for something between a hotel with facilities that you pay for but never use and fully self catering, then this is an ideal option. We were sent an email with clear and detailed information a few days before arriving. Our apartment was clean, compact and offered everything we needed. There was a jug of water in the room that we could top up and keep cool in the fridge. Our room was cleaned daily and coffee cups for the machine and milk cups were replenished daily. Even though we didn’t put our towels on the floor indicating that we wanted them changed, we found clean towels in the bathroom every day. This could have been due to the very high temperatures the first few days we were there. The room remained warm once the outside temperature had dropped and we returned that evening to find a humidifier in the apartment. The service was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

We originally had our main hotel stay booked in Hintertux. We were paying a lot for the hotel and after considering our long journey from Australia, we figured it may make sense to stay close to the airport at Innsbruck for our first day to get some sleep and continue our journey to Hintertux the next morning. We saved quite a bit of money making this decision and made a great choice! We walked to Penz West from the airport with four suitcases and four back packs. It was five minutes on foot and that was in thick snow! The room was way beyond our expectations for a hotel so close to the airport. It was very spacious, beautifully decorated and included breakfast that was simply magnificent. The hotel also had a wellness area including sauna, steam room, cold plunge shower and a gym. The price was extremely reasonable given all it had to offer us. The staff were very helpful and gave us some local tips about the town of Innsbruck (beautiful Christmas markets) and some mountain trips. We were too tired to do the mountain trips but enjoyed Innsbruck. We could easily have spent more time in this beautiful place and would not hesitate to book Penz West again if we are travelling this route. Mr 11 and 12 year old loved this place!

Hier fühlt man sich sofort zu Hause! Am Empfang, an der Bar, im Restaurant immer freundliche Mitarbeiter. Die Inhaber sind auch vor Ort und leben Kundenpflege pax excellence! Die Zimmer sehr Schick und sehr gut ausgestattet. Das Essen ist auf hohem Niveau und es ist für jeden etwas dabei. Hier sieht man mich sehr gerne wieder

My son was not well. N the receptionists did all they can to call us doctors . My son is good now. Thank God The reception. Are Just simply amazing. We stayed from 19 to 20 May. I m still here but I can’t wait write a good review Because my son was not well. He can’t do the 5 courses dinner. I went down to grab a quick dinner. I told the manger n waitress. They are so kind. N allowed me to bring bread n soup up. I ended up with good toasted bread. They offered. How nice of them. Now back to hotel itself. The tea break was lovely. The dinner wonderful I had my own dinner. My hubby n I took turn to eat as our son not well. But really nice food n service. We are 100% coming back here again Oh the pool. The indoor n outdoor. It’s wonderful. My son enjoyed himself Welcome drinks offered. Hotel rooms old style but the toilets n many things are obviously renovated Shower is great bed is great There’s nothing I don’t like I travel a fair bit around Europe. Wir sind nach vielen Jahren wieder zu Gast gewesen und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Es gibt einen wunderschönen neuen SPA Bereich, nach wie vor existiert der traumhafte Outdoorpool - das nachmittagliche Schwimmen in der Dämmerung werde ich sehr vermissen. Die Suite war sehr modern und trotzdem dem ”österreichischem” Umfeld angpasst. Die Dekorationen wurden von Fr. Pfurtscheller persönlich kreiert, ein absolutes Augen-Highlight zu Sylvester. Unser Service (Karl-Heinz, Olivia, Kostas und Jürgen von der Bar) war mega nett und zuvorkommend. Das Speisenangebot bot mehr, als das Herz begeht. Das Mitternächtliche zweite Sylvestermenü, sowie das tolle Feuerwerk war TOP - alles in allem ein ausgesprochen schöner Urlaub. Einziger kleiner Kritikpunkt, zur Cafezeit sass gerne mal der ein oder andere Gast im Bademantel im Restaurant bzw. Barbereich. Empfand ich als nicht so passend für ein 5* Hotel.

Hotel Klosterbräu is a very special place in a remarkable location. It is less of a 'stay' at the Klosterbräu and more of an experience, with service, dining, spa, entertainment and facilities all first class. I have been here four times now - the most recent with my fiancée. The hotel has seen a number of impressive developments since my first visit in 2011, but it continues to effortlessly balance its 500-year heritage with the finest modern luxury and comfort. It is always such a wrench to leave, but the Klosterbräu is also somewhere that stays with you over the months and years, as you look forward to your next visit. We've stayed in Seefeld for many years but this was the first time staying in this hotel, although we have used the pool facilities on previous stays. We arrived by train which is a 5 min walk from the hotel, but they insisted on sending a car to collect us and help with our luggage. This was above and beyond great customer service!! The welcome we received from the staff on reception was exceptional. It was apparent that they wanted to make every effort to ensure we had a good stay. Welcome drink was offered on arrival. We booked half board and the food was wonderful every night. Good choice for mains and drinks included which was a real bonus. The free afternoon cake was delicious (pay for drinks) and was enough to keep you going until dinner time. Breakfast was great too with all the usual offerings in an Austrian hotel. We had the same table everyday for breakfast and dinner and the waitress who was on every morning and evening for the whole week we stayed, was very pleasant and attentive. She looked after us really well. We used the whirlpool everyday and the new quiet lounge in the pool area was lovely to chill out in. The hotel is perfectly situated in the middle of the town. Overall this hotel offers great value for money. Can't recommend it enough. We've booked to come back in summer 2024. More
