"The basics of all city hotels - location, location, location..... !!! And Hotel Stream is smacked in the heart of everything Sapporo has to offer unless you prefer a quieter and calmer spot then this hotel is NOT for you. Rooms are pretty standard in terms of size and amenities, it's, quiet, and great for city strolling. If your intention is to use this hotel as your base to do day trips to Furano & Biei, The Hill of the Buddha Moai, or the renowned Otaru (which unfortunately isn't that muchl unless you're a die hard music box & glass making fan) this is your BEST CHOICE until Hyatt House opens in Oct 2026 (a bird told me - for those Globalist out there) . Oh... a BIG tip by the way (if you've been reading till this point: request for a room with a direct view of the Sapporo's ferries wheel (not that I am a fan lol) or the view of the Nikka advertisement on my attached photo - they are worth it. It's amazing to sleep with such stunning view and wake up to one..... (check out my photos taken from my room) In case you wonder if that pic of me by the glass overlooking thr Nikka ad sign - that's the main breakfast restaurant where you will be having your daily breakfast but u have to get there early to book that seat, otherwise sit through breakfast till they close and then u get to take this photo for as long as you please...... Ok ok ok... i know I'm a little long winded. But hey... oh yeah... u need to know that you can take a limousine bus from CTS (Chitose International Airport) to Susukino which takes about 50mins on way for JPY1500 per person. Easy weasy and the from the bus stop in susukino where most will disembark - it's only a 5min walk to Hotel Stream which ISN'T that obvious as the hotel sign is NOT exactly on the building. You have to look out for a building that reads ”Coco-something” (ops forgotten the name of the building) and the hotel lobby is located on the 7th floor of that building which also house a shopping center, movie theater and numerous restaurants. If you're srill reading this - give me a like already and don't be stingy with that click will ya? Lol. Up next - I'll bee reviewing my hotel in Noboribetsu, Lake Toya, Hakodate and eventually Waldorf Astoria Osaka. Watch out for my space k. "The Onsen is fantastic with showers, baths, sauna, ret area, restaurant, vending machines, smoking room etc and service and cleanliness in Onsen and hotel are excellent. The bed was comfy and good size for capsule and customers were quiet and respectful when I stayed. As it’s a capsule the locker, bathroom shared area set up is not great for a long stay for the obvious reasons but for a night or two or for budget travellers it is hard to beat. It’s a great location for susukino and transport. Luggage storage in check out was an extra 500¥"

"We had a wonderful stay at Portom International Hokkaido and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. The hotel feels very new and modern, and everything was exceptionally clean and well maintained. The onsen was one of our favourite parts of the stay. It was beautifully designed, peaceful, and a great way to relax after a long day. We also appreciated having access to a well-equipped gym, which was spotless and had everything needed for a good workout. The room amenities were surprisingly comprehensive. It wasn’t just the usual toiletries—they even provided thoughtful extras like air freshener, onsen pj, actual pj, bedroom slippers which made the stay feel extra comfortable and convenient. Overall, the service, cleanliness, and quality of the facilities really stood out. Portom International Hokkaido made our trip even more enjoyable, and we’d happily recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and premium stay near the airport."

"This is my second visit to this hotel. First visit was back in March 2025 with my family. I love the cleanliness of the hotel room with no odor, everything still looks as new as my first visit. I enjoy the public bath a lot too. I find this location is better than Grand Mercure hotel that I stayed for the first 3 nights during this trip, because there is a underground walkway link to Stellar Palace and Daimaru. So it's super convenient especially during bad weather. The only thing I felt can be improved is the breakfast selections compared to other hotels I have stayed in during this trip, which are Grand Mercure Sapporo, PREMIER HOTEL Hakodate and Toyako Manseikaku Hotel, with more varieties and provide sashimi for breakfast. Hotel Emion's breakfast selections are almost the same back in 2025. Conclusion, I still prefer this hotel, I will most likely return to this hotel for my next visit in March 2027."

"This is our second time here since Jan. Our first stay was pleasant & we loved it. One of the purposes to visit Sapporo again is just because of this hotel but... P.s.: We always stay 6D5N, and always last minute bookings one night before but the attitude were totally different this time. When we requested for the coffee in room, and they replied ”only 2 drip coffee bags for the entire stays” (for 6 days?) *Unlike what we requested from reception/ room services in Jan (Which previously we received 2 bags a day) They also ignored our special request before booking. Others than location wise, we were quite disappointed with their service and attitude this time🥲"

"Hotel Keihan is 2 traffic crossings from Sapporo station. There are 2 ways to get to the hotel from the station - using either the west or the north exit. The west exit will require you to drag your luggage through a stretch of road that has very uneven surface - quite challenging if your luggage is large and heavy. The north exit is a slightly shorter distance, but with tiled sidewalks, so much easier to drag your luggage. The room is slightly larger than the typical Japanese hotel room. Coffee, tea, sugar, toiletries and pajamas are all provided. Right next to the hotel is a famous soup curry restaurant. The hotel is also within walking distance to cafes and eateries."

"The hotel is luxury and expensive. The hotel provides luxury meals, amenties, and products in the room, resulting in charging the high price. Regrettably, they haven’t invested in ‘service mind’ and ‘empathy’ which are used to be fundamental concepts in hospitality industry. When I informed the staff that I’m allegy to shrimp, the staff just pulled them off without any compensation and alternative offer. I have never been asked any allergy beforehand. I felt living in the hotel where all staff are robots, running a business with certain commands and protocols."

"Location is excellent, right amongst the main shopping malls, seafood markets, restaurants and commercial streets. You can see the TV tower from some of the rooms and the rooftop barbecue site. The check-in process is however painfully slow. The staff forgot to give us water (supposedly one would receive one bottle per night per person at the reception). The room card we received was also not working... The room albeit clean and tidy was rather barebone and small. It's quite rare nowadays to have a hotel of this pricing not to offer a TV. The breakfast was also very simple. 4 types of crepes. And some very limited choices of food items. I would recommend this hotel to people looking for a quick resting spot with easy access to main visiting spots and having no high requirements for hotel amenities."

"This was our second stay at this hotel, and overall everything was very good. However, I would appreciate if the management could be a little more flexible regarding check-in timing and parking charges. We arrived at around 2:15pm, which was only about 45 minutes before the official check-in time of 3pm. We completely understood if the room was not yet ready and were perfectly happy to wait. We only asked whether we could park our car at the hotel car park first. Unfortunately, the front desk lady was quite unhelpful and insisted that if we parked before 3pm, we would need to pay the 24-hour parking rate of 1800 yen instead of the standard 1500 yen rate (3pm to 11am the next day). We even explained that we would be checking out before 9am the next morning. Since she was very firm on this, we decided to simply wait at the lobby instead. Interestingly, around 2:40pm, we noticed some Japanese guests arriving and checking in. Shortly after that, another very kind staff member approached us and informed us that our room was already ready and that we could proceed to check in and park our car. I genuinely try not to view situations through the lens of unfair treatment, but I do hope the management could sometimes exercise a little flexibility and discretion on a case-by-case basis, especially when guests are arriving only slightly earlier than the official check-in time."

"The location was just a short walk from Sapporo Station making it incredibly convenient to travel around. The hotel is also surrounded by major shopping malls, offering endless choices for dining and shopping at your doorstep. The quality of the breakfast was outstanding, with highlights including the delicious French toast and the fresh seafood donburi, which was a perfect way to start the day. The onsen facilities were amazing as well."
