"Hotel grounds amazing, beautiful views and very tranquil. Staff and service excellent as was the food and drink offerings, would definitely stay again. Our only issue was the price of drinks at the bar was expensive £15 for a 250ml of white wine, although cocktails in line with other hotels."

"We spent 4 lovely relaxed days at Shian cottage guest house with our perfect hosts Sheila and Adrian. Sorry Sheila but Adrian’s breakfast was to die for !! What a spotlessly clean and comfortable, make yourself at home house it was .My wife is not a dog lover but they were kept away at all times and never allowed to enter the lounge . I thought they were beautiful and well cared for dogs ! It was our wedding anniversary and we were given a lovely present from our hosts . Anyone looking for a quiet few days in a good central location then go to Shian Cottage you will be made so welcome . Jim &Dorothy Taylor"

"Our only issues were that the weather wasn’t good enough to walk to the village and…on arrival I was asked to pay for the room that I’d already paid for. At dinner I was billed for a more expensive bottle of wine than the one we’d had, and at check out we were asked to pay for the room (again) our lunch and dinner, both of which we paid for at the time. When we explained we had charged nothing to the room we were told ‘just the drinks to pay then’🙄. Such a nice comfortable and friendly hotel , badly let down by its systems!"
