The most amazing hidden gem. Great deal for one night b&b even though it was 6 Nations rugby weekend . The room was extremely comfortable with beautifully scented locally sourced shower gels and shampoo in the immaculately presented bathroom . As for the staff …despite being extremely busy everyone we came across had a smile and helpful conversation . The receptionist even took us to the gate to guide us to the bus stop having printed off a timetable . Only 10 minutes and £2 into the city centre . £9 for taxi back so with the cost of city centre parking it’s a no brainer to use the free onsite parking . Breakfast did not disappoint either and was far from ordinary and totally delicious . Sadly there was no time to sample other meals however …I we shall be back ! Very well done .

Stayed overnight at the Leonardo Hotel as we were hosting friends visiting from Pensilvania USA and all I can say is it was outstanding! From check in, special mention to Steve the Concierge (who diligently stored our bags and offered advice) to the welcome complimentary glass of Prosecco all of the staff were tentative and exceptionally friendly! The rooms were clean and comfortable and the restaurant for breakfast outstanding. All in all fantastic value for money and we would definitely recommend it!

had a fantastic stay here! there were 10 of us who all booked out a dorm. was quiet, clean and good quality. there are two bathrooms and two toilets per dorm which i thought was very good. our room wasn’t ready for an extra half an hour so they gave us free drink tokens for the bar! the reason this doesn’t get 5 stars is because it was awfully hot in the room - even with the window open! there didn’t seem to be air con - we wondered even if the hostel had put the heating on? we didn’t try the breakfast. the hotel bar had decent food but long waits.

I visited the W for the first time on Friday evening. From the moment we stepped through the door the experience was exquisite. We didn’t have a reservation however sitting at the bar in the upstairs lounge was wonderful. We met the lovely Sumith who educated us on everything wine related. Edson our bartender made some delicious cocktails. The experience was perfection from start to finish, I cannot wait to return!! To finish off our wonderful evening we were given access to the 12th floor, just WOW. I’ve not seen views like these in Edinburgh!!

An amazing Hostel that encourages you to meet new people on your travels. They have daily meet up and events so that meeting new people is super easy and fun. The staff are so friendly and helpful, they give some amazing pub recommendations as well.

The location is superb, in the centre of city, about 10-15 mins walk to Edinburgh Waverley Railway Station, nearby attractions like Edinburgh Castle and Royal Mile. If you are Potterhead as I do, Victoria Street is also easily accessible on foot. The staffs are so nice and helpful, I borrowed their hairdryer and kept my luggage there after checkout. The bed is comfy, and you can help yourself with ear plugs and eye mask they provided if needed. They provide large enough (one medium size luggage would be okay) locker with digital lock too. Overall, I love this place!

Great customer service. We arrived earlier than expected and were offered a room that was already available and some welcome drinks too. Staff were very attentive and helpful and room was clean and spacious. Bed was so comfortable and it was handy having parking on-site too. Only downside was the poor water pressure in the shower but I suspect this was due to us being on the fourth floor.

The overall experience was alright but not highly satisfied. I chose the hotel because we hope to stay in the Mansion with long history and heritage that hopefully make our family journey more enjoyable. Before we go, I searched for the comment on websites and found some travellers give bad comments e.g. small bathroom with mold, dusty table and floor mat, etc. Thanks for providing these honest comment so I reduce my own expectation a little bit. When we enter the hotel room, warm welcome received from hotel staff. We arrived at 15pm and thought we can have some teatime in the hotel but sadly we were told teatime must be book 24hrs in advance. They can serve us scones and tea instead. Then we went to our the double bed room 14sq.m one and it does look small, especially the toilet is small like a hostel or affordable stay instead of a hotel room charging gbp170 a night which we have expected it should be more than that. The sink was so small, have to wash hands really carefully otherwise water will be spitted everywhere. The tea corner, the alarm, the window were dusty, The cup and spoon were not clean properly. Despite all these, The bed was fine and comfy. The hotel building itself is historical and beautiful, with multiple dining rooms serving lunch, tea, dinner. Bar service serving drinks, large library, board games available for kids, very spacious greenfield and beautiful rose garden. Morning breakfast 8-10am is a self-service one and the food were hot and fresh. In overall, the beautiful nature surrounded and the historical building itself make the whole experience happy, but the hotel service and hygiene level do recommend for improvement.

Hotel located suburb of edinburg … you need to walk 15min to the bus stop and take X55 (prefered day pass ticket) to the city center and took 50minutes
