"Hello, my daughter and I stayed at the Sahara Hotel in Eilat in June. The hotel's location isn't very convenient; it's a long walk to the sea. Fortunately, there's transportation nearby, within walking distance. We liked the cleanliness and the large bed. There were no windows in the room, nor a microwave. However, there were tea, coffee, and hot water, and towels were changed. The receptionists were aloof and unhelpful. Next time, I'll choose a hotel with more amenities and closer to the sea."

"Very central location, has all you need. I read some of the reviews from previous guests & was very apprehensive, but was pleasantly surprised. The room has great aircon, a nice shower, good quality Dead Sea soaps/shampoos in pump pack bottles. The in room fridge works, they left 2 small bottles of water in the room which was appreciated. Eli on the reception desk is super friendly. They clean the rooms each day. There's free coffee/tea at reception area with indoor & outdoor seating/tables. A vending machine selling drinks at a very reasonable 6 shekels each. Some great eateries really close & awesome shopping very close - the hotel is just across the road from the central bus station To see people describe this as a hostel is so weird, because it really isn't even close to that."

"I would like to leave a huge thank you to Leonardo Plaza Eilat. And not just for a good vacation — but for the truly human kindness and care I received there, which I honestly will never forget. Before my trip, Etti personally called me from the hotel and asked if I had any special requests: extra pillows, additional comfort, or anything else I might need during my stay. After so many years of traveling around Israel and the world, I can honestly say that almost no hotel has ever done that for me before. From that very moment, I already felt genuinely cared for. When we arrived, we were welcomed in the most wonderful way. We received a room upgrade, and in the room there were bottles of water, wine, and everything was spotless, neat, and prepared with attention to every detail. At the reception desk we were gifted complimentary dinners, and my daughter — who came to Eilat for a dance competition — kept receiving sweet surprises throughout our stay: ice cream vouchers, drinks, little gifts, and so many warm words of encouragement. Every staff member was genuinely excited for her, congratulating and supporting her, and it was incredibly touching. No, this hotel is not some ultra-luxury, brand-new five-star resort. But I have to say honestly: the level of service, warmth, and genuine care we experienced here was far beyond many expensive luxury hotels I have visited around the world. Unfortunately, our first room faced the promenade, where there was loud music, karaoke, and nightlife until very late at night, and I barely slept. But the truth is, it was not only because of the noise itself. The past weeks in Israel have been emotionally very difficult for many of us, and after everything we had experienced, my nervous system had become extremely sensitive. Many people probably would not even have noticed the sounds outside, but in that emotional state even the smallest noise felt overwhelming to me. The next morning I came down to reception in tears — not because anyone treated me badly, but simply because I was emotionally exhausted. And that was the moment when I truly saw how extraordinary this hotel team is. I was treated with such kindness, understanding, patience, and compassion that it honestly touched me deeply. They immediately moved us to a beautiful quiet room with an amazing view, once again prepared thoughtful gifts for us — fruits, water, wine, sweets — and even offered us lunch vouchers. But more importantly than any gift, they made me feel that they sincerely wanted to help from the heart. And I noticed something very important: it was not only toward me. I watched how the staff interacted with other guests as well — with the same warmth, respect, patience, and humanity. "This place is a sort of institution. I stayed here years ago and found it nicer than the stay I have just had there. The rooms are comfortable enough and reasonably well done. However, last night there was noise from a loud disco event until well after midnight - staff didn't even pick up the phone when I called. The half board buffet dinners are high quality (I had it one evening) and great variety of fresh food. However, the pool area and beach are really run down and often dirty. The whole place has the feel of a "holiday camp" - that might suit some people - but for the crazy prices ($600 a night or more), it seems very out of synch. "We arrived on Saturday at the Herods Boutique Hotel in Eilat, planning to spend the Shavuot holiday there and celebrate a family birthday. We hoped to begin the holiday in a calm, pleasant atmosphere – but instead, we were met with a frustrating, disappointing, and ultimately unnecessary experience. We arrived at the hotel at 4:00 PM, knowing that check-in would be completed by 6:00 PM. In reality, we stood, waited, asked questions, and only received our room at 9:00 PM. The explanation we were given? The previous guests simply didn’t vacate the room – as if that’s our problem, and not the hotel’s responsibility. And what did we do during those five hours? We wandered the streets with a baby just a few months old who couldn’t fall asleep – tired, restless, and above all, sleep-deprived. Our daughter had to sleep with her grandparents, and they – elderly people who came to enjoy themselves – found themselves spending the night in a tense, cramped, and unpleasant situation. As for us, we just felt lost. And when we finally got the room? We discovered it was unclean – leftovers of rice, sunflower seed shells, cigarette butts on the balcony. Instead of a moment of relief – it was just another slap in the face. The staff was polite, but in practice, we received no real help, no solution, and no compensation. It felt like we were just left to deal with it on our own – on a night that was supposed to be the festive start to a special vacation. We arrived in good spirits, ready to celebrate – and left deeply disappointed. This is not how one expects to begin a vacation at a hotel that’s considered luxurious. What a shame. Truly a shame."

"Just arrived to Play Eilat. No parking. Don’t trust what they advertise they only have 20 spaces I suppose and they were all filled up. This will require us to pay for parking in the morning. It’s only free street parking on Tarshish 9pm to 9am. Staying in room 304: full of gnats/flies. It’s gross. Not super clean atmosphere. I’ve stayed at The Vera in Tel Aviv, The King Solomon in Tevaria, and Cassia in Jerusalem. All those were more comfortable than Play Eilat with regard to the rooms."

"I left from July 28 to August 1, 2024 in this hotel with my wife and my 4 children (15/13/10/4) Knowing the Fattal hotels and their level of quality, it was by consulting the reviews that I let myself be tempted by this hotel which seemed to keep all its promises on paper the positive points: the hotel is in my opinion well located because it is 5/10 min walk from the ice mall and 10/15 min walk from the tayellette with all its shops, so no need to take your car in the evening to go out As soon as you arrive the hotel has free parking for customers which makes it easier to arrive at the hotel The hotel is generally clean unlike other Fattal hotels in Israel with staff all day cleaning In terms of catering, this is pretty much the same thing everywhere in all-inclusive hotels except that I noticed an effort in the presentation of certain dishes in the evening as at lunchtime which was nice for a hotel or in general we only have the right to self-service Overall the meals were good with choice In terms of entertainment at the hotel in the evening there were always theme evenings which are only suitable for children under 12 years old sincerely The rooms are in good condition with everything necessary A very pretty synagogue with office every day without any problem from miniane the negative points This hotel has the particularity of having slides for children to have fun, so you have to explain to me why from 4:45 p.m. they close access to the slides ?????? especially since the swimming pool closes at 6 p.m.! and if you have young children it is impossible for you to take your child with you on the slide, this is refused so my 4 year old son was not able to go on the slide during the whole stay Regarding the entertainment in the afternoon around the pool the entertainment team offers about 45 minutes of entertainment with the children but nothing exceptional to entertain everyone, no inflatable structure on the water nothing of that so quite monotonous for my taste As is often the case in hotels in Israel there is always a group of Israelis who decide to disturb everyone (and I am still being polite in my remarks) and come with a speaker and bore us all day with their music at full volume!!!! Despite my complaints to a lifeguard nothing was done! Oh yes I forgot one morning at 8am the hotel managers let the workers cut the grass next to our rooms and being woken up by the noise of a lawnmower early in the morning is really unacceptable! Fortunately after several complaints from other customers they stopped but why don't the people who authorize this think for 2 minutes in their heads to say to themselves hey maybe it will wake up the customers to do this so early???? A big negative point in my opinion is access to the gym (SEE PHOTOS) To access the gym"

"We were only in the lobby of this boutique hotel, which looked beautiful and special, and at the reception we received keys to the two-bedroom apartment we had booked, located about 150 meters from the hotel in Simtat (Alley) Yam Suf in Eilat. This hotel has several apartments in that building that they market under the name "Melony Apartments" in a renovated building with registered parking for each apartment and the possibility of entering an underground parking garage. We were on the top floor with an amazing view of both the mountains and the sea from our balcony. Everything to feel at home, included a Tami4 water filter, Nespresso (with a stock of capsules), a washing machine (with washing powder), shampoo, and more. A TV in each room with access to the Cellcom channel package. In our opinion it's an excellent value for those looking for an apartment (without room service) in Eilat. It is important to note that the hotel reception was very polite and asked to contact them with any questions or problems if needed 24/7. They also have WhatsApp. The door to one of the rooms that was defined as a protected room ("mamad" - acronyms in Hebrew) that, according to Israeli law, must be in every apartment built after the 1990s in Israel, would not close, probably to avoid dealing with a possible malfunction, we don't really know, but it is definitely not something good or normal. Another important detail is that the area is a residential neighborhood with mix of old, new or renovated buildings. It is not located far from a tourist area, but without a car or a taxi that will take you to a tourist area of ​​Eilat in about 5 minutes, we think you should lower your expectations of the area. We would not define it as dangerous or something like that, but it certainly includes also a very simple local population. Anyway, a fully equipped kitchen with the ability to prepare food for children was very important to us and there are several supermarkets not far away, so we left satisfied."
