Our recent stay at the Sapporo Stream Hotel was a wonderful experience, and we highly recommend it, especially for families with young children. The hotel’s location is truly unbeatable—it’s conveniently situated near major attractions, restaurants, and public transportation, making it easy to explore Sapporo without any hassle.
The hotel's accessibility was a game-changer for families like ours travelling with a stroller. It's directly accessible to the Cocono Susukino Mall and then directly down to the station area. It’s rare to find a hotel this considerate towards families, and we really appreciated the thoughtful design.
The housekeeping service was another highlight of our stay. The hotel efficiently ensuring our room was well-stocked with their “menu” of housekeeping options!
As expected in a Japanese hotel, the room was compact but thoughtfully designed. While opening two suitcases at the same time was a challenge, this is typical for hotels in Japan. The space was well-utilized, and we found it cosy and sufficient for our needs.
Overall, Sapporo Stream Hotel exceeded our expectations with its prime location, family-friendly accessibility, and excellent housekeeping. While the room size might be a slight adjustment for some, it’s a small trade-off for the convenience and quality of service provided. We’d gladly stay here again on our next visit to Sapporo!
Breakfast at JR Tower Hotel Nikko Sapporo is served at the restaurant on the 35th floor, offering a Japanese-Western buffet and a Japanese set menu. Breakfast fee for children sleeping in the same bed is 3,300 yen (tax and service charge included) when using the Japanese set meal.

Solid hotel with exceptional customer service. Special mention to staff (1) Morita and (2) Mark Faucett for helping us and accommodating to our needs.
My son was down with influenza and it is through them we manage to pay a 2nd visit to children hospital that take in foreigners. The first one wasn’t that effective as it is an A&E with no children doc to prescribe controlled ***** for a 4 year old as i was told.
My special thanks to the hotel staff and really appreciate their help and support. In all my years of travelling for business and leisure, this is top notch customer service that makes a huge difference to receiving customer and guests.

The hotel is located at a central location just minutes walk from Sapporo Station. Staffs are especially friendly and helpful. A great thanks to both Honoka Oda and Kaho Sawada for their much appreciated assistance. Couldn't thank them enough.
Our room windows actually face the old government building and it was gorgeous with autumn leaves and snow on the next day covering the entire compound... every where. It was especially memorable.
Room is nice and clean and the onsen was surprisingly good... didn't really expect much when booking the property.
Another great thing about the hotel is it's breakfast spread... We've had seafood breakfast buffet from other Japanese hotel before, but this one came with raw scallop, firm juicy red salmon, sweet prawn and of course salmon roe... Absolutely unforgettable experience. And to top up all that, a very nice view of the snowing landscape that morning, that will be forever etched in our mind. Thank you Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel Sapporo for the great experience.

Karaksa Hotel Sapporo is right smack in the middle of Tanujiko shopping and dining belt. The Ramen Alley is also nearby. It is close to the entrance of Pole Town, which links all the way to Sapporo JR Station.
Walk past Odori metro station in the direction towards Sapporo JR station, you can also easily access Aurora Town on your right, another underground shopping stretch that leads to Aurora Plaza.
The hotel provides free ice-cream and drinks at level 2F. The onsen is also conveniently located at level 2F. A coin laundry service is also found near the onsen area but the dryers don't seem very effective. I had to put enough 100 yen coins to use the dryer for 6 whole hours before they were completely dry!
Room size is just nice for 2 pax, however it would be a tight squeeze for 3 adults. There isn't much hanging space for clothes in the room so I had to improvise by getting S hooks from Diaso.

We stayed in nine hotels during our six week Winter visit to Japan; this hotel was the third most stylish but the second most uncomfortable. The corner double room has the right look with a little tea room next to a floor to ceiling window. We had a partial view of the Botanical Gardens which was pretty. The room was uncomfortable for the following reasons: 1. No storage. The room fit out is super minimal but if you have luggage there's nowhere to put it and no hanging space. 2. The designer was going for a zen low lighting experience but the room was so dark we couldn't see anything. There is one dim lamp next to the bed and another low light overhead light. It was so dark we had to borrow desk lamps to be able to see into our suitcases. Maybe the designer was trying to create a moody atmosphere but we found it dreary and depressing. 3. The thermostat has no fine controls - the room was either way too hot or very cold. We chose to turn the heat off and borrow extra blankets and wear extra layers. We chose the corner double room which despite being one of the larger rooms, felt too cramped for a four day stay. The onsen was stylish and cool. The outdoor onsen was set in cute snowscape. Having an onsen with snow around you felt very luxe. Unfortunately this hotel attracts a certain young, nouveau riche clientele who take selfies endlessly in this Instagram ready hotel. There were men taking photos of themselves in the onsen on two occasions; I felt like my privacy had been violated as I was in the same bath. It upset me they didn't respect me enough to abstain from taking video footage. Did they do that just because my partner and I were clearly not Japanese? We enjoyed the authentic breakfast, although I feel like having it once probably would have been enough. The location of the hotel was a bit of a dead zone, unless you love walking there are probably more central locations. If you can't speak Japanese the staff are just OK. I was overcharged and managed to get a refund even despite the language barrier. I would not stay at this hotel again but I did enjoy certain aspects of my stay.

PPengguna TetamuLove this mid size hotel, easily beats many of the international luxuries brands.... mind you this is not a young hotel, yet everything is well kept and for asian who likes harder beds this is one of the BEST mattress i have slept on. Not to mention the bed linens is of extreme high quality that make the likes of Park Haytt and Conrad feel like cheaps rags.
AAllytadahWe only had 1 night to stay in this beautiful paradise 🥲🤍
It was the best stay of our 10 day trip in Japan and we would definitely be back to stay here again 🤍
Location: in the Jozankei Onsen town that’s about an hour + out of Sapporo. Honestly if you’re in a group, just book a cab out, it was about $80++ for 3 of us! Otherwise remember to book the Onsen bus shuttle early in advance 🥹
Area around Onsen is nothing much besides other Onsen houses, a small cafe and other smol tourist picture spots.
Back to the Ryokan: this was my first experience being in one and I’m so glad I chose this place! Mum and sister throughly enjoyed it as well, using our in room Onsen ( there’s 2!) and also the shared common Onsen with an outdoor facing the snow too ❄️☃️♨️
Service:The staff was extremely polite and efficient, seeing the reviews of them being rude was kinda uncalled for. They were nothing but kind and attentive. It is a very quiet and peaceful place , I understand the need for all guests to be maintain the atmosphere too.
Food: amazing, one of the best meals I’ve had in Japan so far ♥️ the pictures below speaks for itself 🥹 private dining room to enjoy the view too🏔️
Loved small touches too like the mikimoto soaps , Dyson hair dryers ( in the public Onsen) And the chopstick souvenirs 🥹
I can’t wait to come back here again with my partner 🤍

WwwgeeThe hotel room is surprisingly spacious considering the hotel conveniently located in the city centre. There are many restaurants and bars around the hotel. The bathroom looks new and is tidy and clean. The hot spring in the hotel runs until 1am, which is very considerate for travellers. I highly recommend this hotel.
PPengguna TetamuThe greatest merit of this place is its location in Jozankei which is one of the onsen capitals in Hokkaido about an hour bus ride from Saporro. My initial online inquiry was not promptly replied to and the reply was uncourteous and inhospitable but I gave it shot anyway given the generally good reviews. This is a ryokan style hotel that caters to bus loads of tourists and families. Don’t expect luxury and personalized service. The Japanese style tatami rooms and the bathrooms feel worn out and old and need serious updates. I used the public onsen bathrooms anyway and did not use the bathroom in my room at all. There was a strange musty odor in the hallway outside my room that smelled like pee. There are mountain views outside the window but the surroundings are all concrete hotel buildings. One day is enough and my only consolation was the onsen experience. The 2nd floor public onsen was a better albeit smaller alternative to the 12th floor public onsen. There is access to the onsen of the Shikanoyu sister hotel which is much larger and has more spa options. The cafeteria food and the staff/service was mediocre at best.

PPengguna TetamuWe stayed at Jozankei Daiichi Hotel Suizantei in early January 2023 for 1 night - our first time here. We took the Kappa Liner Bus from Sapporo station and it was a very pleasant & scenic ride. Our bus ride was at 1215 noon & it took a bit over an hour. We chose this bus line because their bus stop is directly in front of this hotel. We arrived at approx. 1330hrs. There was a lot of snow on the ground and covering much of the front entrance, the trees, parked cars and the hotel itself. The lobby looks inviting and spacious. Check-in was very efficient. Let me say now that we are from Hawaii and we don't speak Japanese, but if there was any communication problem, it was minimal as most of the citizens here can speak a small amount or understand some English. On the frontside of the lobby is a grand room with many padded chairs & tables for relaxing, reading or conversing. On the left side of the lobby, there's a short stairway going down to a very nice & large lounge area on the right; and, a smaller coffee/pastry area on the left. The pastries here are exquisite & only a limited amount is prepared because this smaller section closes very early after lunch. Now the larger lounge area on the rightside is truly worth exploring. As soon as you enter, there is a long bar/counter where an attendant is always preparing sushi or pasty/small desserts. There is room with sofas & chairs, and self-serve coffee & a variety of teas. In the late afternoon, there is a large variety of beer or sake on tap. There are also several small Tatami-like rooms for small gatherings on the side. Now the best part - everything in this room is complimentary! On the 2nd level is a relaxation lounge area with massage chairs, a restaurant and a very nice large gift shop. I think that there is another restaurant, but it may have been under renovation at this time. After checking in, we walked across the street to a small, quaint Ramen shop. There is a counter for about 6-8 & a few small tables. Looked like a husband & wife operation. The menu was limited, but the food was wonderful (especially with the snow & cold air outside). When we first arrived, there were 3 other people - by the time we left, a crowd was waiting, standing around inside this tiny place. We couldn't venture very far in the neighboring area due to hilly & snowy roadway. This Ramen shop was truly a 'rescue joint' for us hungry, cold travelers. We opted for a room with a private Onsen. Our room was on the 6th floor and at the end of the hallway. This room was beautiful - very large - even the entry area was large. The main room was super spacious, had minimal furniture, but we really loved it. There was a small restroom with toilet and sink. At the end of the hall, there was larger room with a larger sink & shower. The onsen area was fabulous - an entry area for changing with towels, a separate section for washdown before entering the onsen. The onsen was spacious & grand with many windows that could slide o

PPengguna TetamuLocation is not bad, not as near to Susukino as other similar hotels but, they have their own parking garage, which cost only 1500 yen for the day plus you can move the car in and out without restrictions. Just need to bring the card to front desk to validate it each time when you go out.
We walk to Susukino and the shopping arcade by foot, it takes 20-30min walk, we can actually see the shopping arcade No.7’s section from our window. All in all I like this hotel a lot, breakfast selection is great, but the room size is quite small, well I think this is normal here in Japan in the city. I would come back and stay at this hotel again if I shall return to Sapporo.

PPengguna TetamuOur Tour Leader has touted that this is the best Hotel throughout our 7-nights stay tour here in Hokkaido! We reached at 6pm and was just in time for dinner. Surprisingly modern and beautiful inside setting compared to the Hotel building front. Quite an impressive dining area that is spacious and offers a generous spread of both Japanese & International cuisine. Everything vying for limited space in out stomach! The 3-star Jozankei Hotel Sapporo provides quick access to Jozankei Hot Spring. This hotel is located in a touristic area of Sapporo. The rooms are equipped with Wi-Fi and while amenities include nice touches include slippers, free toiletries and bath sheets. Only dislike; the TV screen is the smallest we have came across for a while.. It was tatami room and we made our own bed, surprisingly they have a few staff moving around to ask if we need help on setting the bed! More memorable is the Onsen, superb and body relaxing! Had a good session at night… rich minerals to nourish our skin. There was a bonus for us – there is a Jozankei night illumination running these 2 weeks and we got to view it, a 15-mins walk into the town central. Really a visual treat for us all. Fully enjoyed our stay here.
