The breakfast variety is very comprehensive and tasty, definitely matching a 5-star hotel standard! There is a great mix of international, Chinese, and local Hainan cuisine. We loved the small bowls of Hainan noodles, which they rotate daily; I enjoyed a different type of noodle on both days. Since I did not have a Chinese phone number, I faced some problems paying a special promotional breakfast price for one of my children. Ms Lisa Wang kindly helped me resolve it. She was there on both days and remembered my payment issue from the previous day! This hotel is perfectly suited for families with young children. Our kids loved the amenities so much and there was plenty to do, meaning they were never bored. We went to the outdoor water playground every day. On Level 2, there is an indoor playground for kids, a mini obstacle course, and four VR arcade machines—the kids had so much fun! Ms Jiang Yulu and Ms Alice Tang were on duty there, and they were incredibly patient with the children. They even kindly allowed my kids to play multiple VR game rounds because my little boy was crying after playing one fewer round than his sister. At the basement level, the kids could visit the gym, the indoor swimming pool, a mini indoor water playground, and play table tennis or Chinese chess. On our last day, knowing that we were checking out, Ms Lisa immediately arranged pick up for our luggage from the room so that we could head straight to the airport right after breakfast. It was a wonderful stay at an excellent hotel with super friendly frontline staff—from the cleaning ladies to the housekeeping team. All of them greeted us with a smile. The housekeeping lady on the 15th floor (during my two night stay) constantly checked in with us whenever she saw us in the corridor to ask when it would be convenient to make up our room. We had to keep changing the time with her because the kids were having so much fun with the hotel's family-friendly facilities! Every night, we came back to an immaculately cleaned room, along with a complimentary night-time dessert for two people.

Booked 3 rooms with family and a 10mths old infant. - Great service by reception staff: offered welcome drink and patient to answer our queries and accommodated our request for rooms to be same floor or near each other - Spacious, clean and quiet room which offered full set of basic toiletries along with four complimentary bottles of water and some biscuits. Would be good to offer coffee sachets. - Appreciated the comfortable cot setup for 1 of the room. - Location: not the most ideal as might not be easy to locate for some drivers, 12-15mins drive away from Qilou Old Street.

Novotel Hotel West Coast Haikou offers excellent service, with receptionists who are very supportive, professional, and welcoming. The staff are especially friendly and patient with kids and elderly guests, making everyone feel comfortable and well cared for. The rooms are clean, spacious, and well maintained, providing a pleasant stay. All hotel facilities are kept clean and organized, reflecting high standards of hygiene. The hotel is in a great location near shopping malls, with plenty of eateries and dining options.

I want to take this opportunity to share that this hotel has excellent service that went above & beyond. On the day I was checking out of Sofitel in the morning & moving to another hotel, I realised that I was missing one of my earrings. I informed Jerry at Reception about this & he immediately informed Housekeeper to look for it & took the particulars of my next hotel so he could send my earring if found. Soon after, he texted me to say they were not successful but they will continue to search, and they did. In the afternoon, Jerry called to inform me that they did manage to find my earring in the shower stall, and will send it to my current hotel within the day. I really appreciate their efforts in taking the matter seriously & not giving up after the first unsuccessful search. This is not the first instance that Jerry gave excellent customer service. When I first checked in, I had arranged for some online purchases to be delivered to Sofitel in advance but as I didn't have a local number, the couriers were not able to contact me. Jerry helped to contact the couriers & the packages were sent to the hotel within that day. It really meant a lot to me to have such helpful & reliable assistance for a first time traveler to Haikou. Thank you, Jerry! I also want to compliment Sofitel's breakfast & the service team there. The spread is very wide, and being there for almost a week, I really appreciate that they change some of the items so you get variety. And the staff are very attentive & helpful. Not only did they remember my coffee preference, they always bring me to my favourite table where I can enjoy the wonderful view. All in all, Despite the fact that the mall next to the hotel is like a ghost town with empty shops, Sofitel Haikou is a wonderful hotel that I would recommend to travelers.

Every recommendation was a real treat, showcasing true VVIP bespoke butler-style service that made my trip even more special. I have traveled extensively across Asia, and I can confidently say that MOS Hotel Haikou holds a unique charm that is hard to find elsewhere. Moreover, during my stay, I was fortunate enough to participate in special edition events that showcased the island's vibrant culture and creativity. We stayed at this resort for 4 nights at the beginning of May while my kids (ages 9 and 11) were on school break. They loved it. They really enjoyed the pool, the springs and the breakfast and dinner buffets. The sushi restaurant is also good. The kids liked the slides and obstacle course in the pool area. There are so many springs here, with varying temperatures so you can choose to soak in cold ones or hot ones. And they are broken into regions (Asia, Europe, America, Africa). The service we received was great. Everyone was very helpful. Jordon in particular was very clear in communicating with me about what was included with our booking and how to access those items. There were a lot of other families at the resort since it was a holiday time but it was not too crowded. Would definitely recommend it to others. Close by is Mission Hills Centreville (retail shopping area), Feng Xiaogang Movie Town (featuring recreated old Chinese movie sets) and Splash City (a large water park). Hotel was good value for money and located around lots of malls and cafes which was great. Maybe a little outdated and not as clean as I would have hoped but it was a nice stay nevertheless. Highly recommend the breakfast if getting there early too!

Good location. Very attentive and supportive staff. Overall a good an relaxing stay. They do pay attention to small details (the carpets in the elevator get changed three times a day (with Good morning, good afternoon and good evening written on them) The quality of food can improve at the breeze restaurant. The breakfast is underwhelming. And the BBQ for the buffet dinner is well below par. Jade restaurant offers really good dishes and the lounge bar offers decent cocktails.

Very comfortable stay in our family room. Nice facilities with the pool, and children's soft play area. Good variety at breakfast with English labels, and nice views from a high floor. Decent vegetarian and western options on room service men, all hours. The photo shoot was a nice touch for memories. We were fortunate to meet operations manager Coco, who was most welcoming with he rtime and ensured we were well looked after in our stay, including having the photographer come out of hours for us. English is spoken by reception staff,and all others know enough basic phrases and are quick to get out the phone to fill in any translation gaps. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great value!  Very friendly front desk attendants.  Quick response.  Got room upgraded from no-window to window room.   Big shopping malls steps away.  People Park across the street.   Will go back to stay at this hotel next time.
