Hotel berhampiran Gunung Ali, Kaunti Chiayi

We had a mixed but memorable stay here. The vibes and decor are lovely, and the restaurant view is truly breathtaking—it’s easily the highlight of the property. Having breakfast and dinner overlooking the mountains was a beautiful experience. However, there are a few things to keep in mind: • The Room: Our room was very small and the layout had some design choices that felt like a falling hazard (tripping risks). • Location: The property is very remote. For foreign tourists, it is quite inconvenient to navigate because the hotel does not offer any shuttle or tour services to help guests explore the area. • Duration: The food is decent, but because of the size of the rooms and the remote nature, we felt one night was more than enough to enjoy the view and moving on.

The hotel was lovely we stayed there for the lantern festival but it was pretty far from anything else! Room was nice and the staff were great! Very friendly as a foreigner! Snacks in room were ok but a free coffee machine in the hotel to be able to get a latte or milk tea would be much appreciated!

I had an absolutely unforgettable stay at Applause in the Mountain. Surrounded by nature, the peaceful atmosphere and stunning mountain views made this a truly relaxing escape from the city. The room was clean, cozy, and beautifully designed to blend with the natural surroundings. Waking up to the fresh air and scenic views was definitely a highlight of the stay. The hosts were warm, welcoming, and very attentive, making sure everything was comfortable throughout my visit. Their hospitality really added a personal touch to the experience. If you’re looking for a quiet getaway to recharge and reconnect with nature, this is the perfect place. I would definitely come back again and highly recommend it!

This was really the best home stay experience we ever had! The owners are super kind. Upon arrival, they warmly welcomed us in and gave us delicious tea, apple, snacks, and their good company. The room itself had amazing views over the mountains, tea plants, and sakura. The room was really big, equipped with a good shower and comfortable beds. We even got a free room upgrade and tasty breakfast with fresh fruits. Next morning we were taken on a tour over the Tea Plantation and the owner told us not only about the process but could give us information on all the other plants like coffee plants, flowers, etc. We really hope we can stay here in the future again.

Great stay here! Good value for Alishan. Location was fine, relatively close to Shizhuo and Fenqiqhu by car and close to a 7/11. It’s tricky to reach by public transport, you’ll most likely need a car. Advice would be to go to Hotel Indigo and drive up from there, it’s narrow but fine. The double room was lovely, really relaxed and cute. Staff are direct but helpful, not much English but very helpful with any questions. Ask her for the location to go to for sunset, it was AMAZING, about 10 mins drive from the b&b. We missed sunrise due to clouds but the sunset made up for it. The breakfast was good with good variety for Alishan, coffee excellent. It’s a chill “cabin in the woods” vibe

在東隙頂公交站看見灰色房子的對面，有個上鈄路，上去就到了，但一到步就被隔壁狗吠。 來到是沒有職員的，要打電話找老板。隔壁的鄰居奶奶會幫忙。 晚上8半後沒自來水，洗手還是有的。 整體乾淨。 住宿對面公交站就有餐廳（有火鍋）。 還有便當預定（第2天11時才能取）。 往小學方向走，有便利店，餐廳，方便。 老板娘很健談。 附近能看螢火蟲。（見圖） 8，9月雨後還有看見超巨完美彩虹，有時更有雙彩虹。 住宿大廳門口有寫每天日出日落時間。 門口和大廳有三五成群的蒼蠅。 大廳有餐單，詩集，旅遊資訊，茶包（不泡只聞都很香，泡茶飲更是很有層次），咖啡粉，燒水壺。 桌子是以前衣車機那種。 沐浴露是我喜歡的馬鞭草味。 在大廳用餐後要走到很遠的地方洗手，不方便。 廚房洗手沒熱水。 一有人經過，隔壁的狗就吠。 背包房體驗： 床簾質地，我很喜歡。 床很舒服。 竹窗簾，木屋頂，很棒。 有很多置物格子，還有置物櫃（每格都分了床位）。 但沒有Locker 而且不知為何明明同房，同價錢，另一張床卻是又沒床簾，床上又沒插頭，床上下更沒置物格，差別對待。 深夜睡覺時分，隔壁的狗間中會吠。 早餐很飽，蛋餅已分了一件件，貼心；藍莓很甜；菇香牛油味；枝豆是冷的，調味像鹽水雞。 咖啡粉更是老板的朋友親自調配，在外面買不到。 如用餐時，住客不在，老板娘會用紙巾覆蓋食物，但仍有蒼蠅靠近，建議用碟在表面進行密封。 雙人房（附獨衞）： 房大，床大，浴池大，有山景看。 雙房人（公用衞）： 簡約，夠用。

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Its location is extremely convenient for travellers arrived by rail ss it right beside the train station.The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any request. The hotel also provide 3 free guided tour around the area. My room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, providing a relaxing environment after a long day walk. Overall, this hotel offers great value and an excellent experience—I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

We stayed here for two nights. The owner is very nice and helpful. My wife had motion sickness and she gave us some ginger tea to help relieve the upset stomach. We really appreciate her kindness. The location is good, on 54.2km Tai 18 Route (台 18线），very close to Tea and Mist trail and Eryanping trail. Linchuo (林厝） station is 200 meters away and Xiding (隙顶）station also very close. Bus #7322 carries you from the above stations to Alishan Station in 1 hour. It’s great for a day trip. When we choose places to stay, we care about room cleanliness and shower water pressure. We are very happy with both. Breakfast is included and served on rooftop with beautiful mountain views. If simple but good enough for us. You can also enjoy the sunrise here.

Don’t get me wrong f, there’s a wonderful Old school charm about this hotel and the staff are very nice, I loved sitting g down for a fresh brew of oolong while we discussed our future plans. But little thi ga like bins not emptied and having to request clean cups is something I do t want to have to do. Its location is beautiful but you need to plan your trip well as it’s midway through a bus route and getting to other places can mean standing room only or sometimes simply not available (we needed a private car To get back to Chiayi hsr) But it’s a nice place with an old school charm and friendly helpful staff. Do t forget to check out the rooftop area… worth it!

This is a wonderful hotel located right off the shore of the beautiful Renyitan Dam. It’s only a 2 minute walk to the boardwalk where you can watch the sunrise early morning! The hotel lobby is gorgeous and room is clean and roomy. There are loaner bikes available right at the entrance of the hotel. The women’s spa is closed for renovations at the moment but there is a game room where family with kids can enjoy a variety of activities. The only drawback is that the hotel is outdated probably due to low occupancy. The breakfast buffet is only available when there are tour groups staying at the hotel. This was my second time staying here this month and I really enjoyed it.
