We had already paid £480 online through Trip.com for a double room for 3 nights. However, upon arrival, the hotel demanded an additional €400 simply because a second guest would be staying in the room. What made this even more unreasonable was that I checked the exact same room type on multiple other dates, and the price was identical whether selecting 1 adult or 2 adults. The listing itself also clearly indicated that the room rate included accommodation for 2 adults. Despite this, the hotel still charged an extra €400 at check-in. This additional amount only included breakfast and city tax for the second guest — there was absolutely no room upgrade, no extra bed, and no additional service provided. In fact, the amount charged was so excessive that it was close to the price of booking an entirely separate room. At check-in, the hotel stated that if we refused to pay, the second guest would not be allowed to stay. We tried multiple times to communicate with the hotel in a polite and constructive way, but there was no flexibility or reasonable attempt to resolve the issue. I completely understand paying reasonable extra charges for breakfast or local taxes, but the way this situation was handled felt extremely unfair and poorly communicated in advance. Trip.com customer service was actually very helpful throughout the process and even provided compensation themselves, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the hotel remained unwilling to address the situation fairly. The property itself may be nice, but this experience left us feeling disappointed, uncomfortable, and taken advantage of. Transparency and fairness in pricing are essential, especially for international travelers.

Check in was slow, one customer in front taking a long time and only one member of staff on the desk. I managed to check in online while I was waiting but still had to wait for the previous customer to finish to collect my key. Hotel itself was great - clean, two pools including rooftop pool overlooking the beach. Close to the beach and airport (10 mins on bus from airport). Standard hotel breakfast.

The sea view from the room was so beautiful. They provide daily room cleaning to tidy up the room and clear the bins. The shower cubicle is tiny but has both rain shower and hand held shower head. They provide bathrobe and indoor slipper, towels, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner but the room does not have toothbrush, toothpaste or comb or shower cap. There are plenty of choices for breakfast. The beach is just 1 minute walk from the hotel. There are local shops and restaurants in walking distance. The indoor pool and sauna opens till 19:00 in November. And the gym opens till 23:00. There is ATM and vending machines for water and snacks in the lobby. Overall it was a sweet escape/beach holiday even in the cold November.

Das Hotel ist leider eine große Enttäuschung gewesen. Das Gute zunächst: Die Lage ist meiner Meinung nach perfekt. Direkt an Santa Catalina und nicht gleich im Zentrum, das fand ich sehr gut. Auch der Spa Bereich sieht genauso aus wie auf den Fotos und war zwar nicht perfekt, aber auch keine Enttäuschung, da die Erwartungen entsprechend waren. Leider liefen dort auch ein paar Kakerlaken herum, was mich nicht unbedingt stört, aber bestimmt für manche Gäste unangenehm sein könnte. Sonst war das Zimmer sehr basic, mit einem aus zwei sehr unbequemen Betten zusammengestellten Bett. Mit einem kleinen Fenster in den Innenhof, mit kaum Tageslicht. Auf die Ansprache, dass es auf den Fotos anders aussah, wurden wir zurückgewiesen mit der Begründung, dass es ein Musterfoto sei und wir es hätten wissen sollen. Sonst ist alles andere im Zimmer sehr veraltet. Es war sauber, aber dadurch, dass es so veraltet ist, sah es einfach nicht gut und unangenehm aus. Ich habe mich insgesamt sehr unwohl gefühlt und das Hotel nur zum Übernachten in einem sehr ungemütlichen Bett genutzt. Bei 4 Sternen Hotel habe ich ehrlich gesagt deutlich mehr als das erwartet. Werde ich auf keinen Fall als Hotel zum Bleiben empfehlen.

BG Java Hotel was very inviting. The location was fabulous with a bustop right outside. The facilities made our stay really memorable. The staff at the hotel were friendly and accommodating.

The location is very convenient for beach lovers and there are nearby stops for buses to town and the airport. I had a very positive experience with almost all staff except for one lady. Hate to do this but will point out what rubbed me the wrong way. After breakfast one day I went to fill my travel cup as I have a special tea and wanted to drink it while getting ready for the day in my room. She came to me and said that taking out coffee ”is not possible”. I explained it's just hot water and she walked away. On face value it's nit a big deal but really, what is it one coffee for a hotel in which a breakfast is already included? And she assumed it was coffee while it was just hot water. It was mostly the manner of her approach. There are right ways to talk to your guests and that wasn't it. Another thing is the noise- you can hear everything and everyone. The bar is frequented by local people and it could be noisy as well. I have to say the bar noise didn't bother me, it in a way added to the atmosphere, it was nice to be in a place that the neighbours love and we're genuinely enjoying themselves. But it was very annoying to hear guests slam doors in the middle of the night, using the toilet, having loud conversations, even cleaning their sinuses... I'm not sure if anything could be done about it as the walls appear to be paper thin.

공항에서 10분 거리, 팔마 시티에서도 가까워서 위치적으로 아주 훌륭했습니다. 바로 앞에 바다라서 조식도 바다를 보며 먹을 수 있어요. 아침마다 테라스에서 해 뜨는 걸 보며 요가를 했는데 너무 행복했고 저녁에도 테라스에서 파도 소리를 들으며 와인을 마실 수 있어서 좋았어요. 수영장은 아주 작은데다가 주변에 해변이 워낙 아름답기 때문에 사용하지는 않았습니다. 오래된 건물 같았지만 깨끗했고 음식도 맛있었습니다. 침대, 침구 다 훌륭했고 무엇보다 넓고 옷장도 두개가 마련되어 있어서 친구와 함께 쓰기에 충분했습니다. 침대에 누워 바다를 바로 볼 수 있었어요. 하지만 옆방과 테라스가 정말 가깝고 서로 다 싑게 보여서 조심해야합니다. 주차장은 없지만 프론트 직원이 친절하게 안내해주어 무료 주차 구역에 잘 주차할 수 있었어요. 구글 네비게이션으로 이동하면 엉뚱한 길(차가 다니면 안되는 해변 길)을 알려주니 꼭 해변에서 한 블록 바깥에 있는 길로 들어가야 합니다. 무료 주차 구역은 호텔 주변에서 쉽게 찾을 수 있어요. 여행 직전에 급하게 찾은 호텔이었는데 너무 만족스러운 숙박이었습니다.

Absolutely fantastic hotel, very clean - small ants nest in room 116 but no major issue. The roof top pool looked incredible and food was amazing! Would 100% return.

Overall, we had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was calm and welcoming. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The food was also very good, with a nice variety and good quality. However, be careful when booking the hotel with children. When we made the booking, it was stated that children stay for free. Naturally, when booking a room for three people, you would expect that everything is included for all three guests. There was no information anywhere that we would need to pay an additional €40 per day for the child. When we ordered breakfast and dinner, no additional information was given that we would need to pay extra for the child. Only two days before our arrival did we receive a message saying that the child’s breakfast and dinner would cost €40 per day. Since we stayed for six nights, this added up to an extra €240, which is not a small amount. Overall, the hotel is very nice, but the information regarding children’s meals is misleading, so please be careful.

Everything about this place is simply perfect. The soundproofing in the rooms is excellent, and we loved having a private balcony with sun loungers – such a relaxing touch. Breakfasts were absolutely amazing – varied, fresh, and delicious every morning. The hotel also has a sauna and a gym, which is a great bonus. The bed linen was spotless, and the pillows were incredibly comfortable – we slept like babies! Special thanks for the hotel’s beautiful interior design – stylish, modern, and very cozy. The location is ideal – just a 5-minute walk to the beach, literally right across the road. We also loved the opportunity to rent bicycles at the hotel. It took about 35–40 minutes to cycle to the city center, and I can’t even describe how enjoyable the ride was. I highly recommend renting bikes in the afternoon to enjoy the waterfront and the views. There’s also a rooftop pool, which we, unfortunately, didn’t get a chance to use since we only stayed for 3 nights – but I’m sure it’s just as perfect as everything else. We will definitely stay here again next time – no doubt about it!
