"Had an excellent stay at CitizenM Glasgow and genuinely impressed by how professionally the team handled an issue that was similar to another bad hotel experience I previously had elsewhere. Instead of dismissing the concern, the staff were proactive, empathetic, and immediately worked on resolving the room situation. They even kindly treated me to a complimentary drink while they got everything sorted, which made a huge difference after a long day. The room itself was fantastic — super comfortable bedding that gave one of the best sleeps during my trip, and the hotel’s high-tech room features were incredibly fun and convenient to use. From the lighting controls to the overall modern setup, everything felt thoughtfully designed. Great service recovery, excellent hospitality, and a hotel that truly understands customer experience. Would gladly stay again when in Glasgow"

"Beautiful location for an old world quaint hotel but badly in need of investment. Everything looks tired and dated, and I mean everything from the carpets to the lift’s.  The hotel was quiet with few guests. Breakfast was disappointing. I had stayed here before so was disappointed. The hotel deserves better as it is a magnificent old building with enormous character.  I stay in Millennium hotels regularly so this was unexpected. I will definitely rethink my hotel selection on my next visit to Glasgow."

"Great location, straightforward checkin, excellent price for twin room apartment. Good kitchen facilities - microwave, hob, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, dishwasher- and reasonable quantities of crockery, cutlery, tumblers, wine glasses, washing up liquid etc. Good to have separate area with sofa and tv. WiFi perfectly fine. Slept fairly well but beds and especially pillows were very firm, I usually have 3 pillows but often 1 here was adequate. The main niggle was that we had an accessible room even though not requested. We understand it is hotel policy to allocate these when necessary and heard someone else who was disappointed as well. The problem is that if you’re 6 foot tall the low height of bathroom mirror, sink and fixtures makes things difficult to manage easily."

"Has all the basics, perfect for a solo traveller. Small compact room with double bed. Great location in the heart of Glasgow, perfect for walking around and near to train stations to visit other places. No wardrobe, limited hanging space on the wall, so not great for long stays."

"I booked this hotel for its great location. The Buchanan Bus station is just a 3min walk away. That's where you take the bus to/from the Airport, Edinburgh and where all the tour buses depart. It's a 5min walk to the busy Buchanan pedestrian street. The room is cozy and the bed is very comfy. There are no amenities in this Holiday Inn so basically, you are just staying for the room."

"This is a new hotel opened in December 2025. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The reception areas decor was modern and clean. Our room was on the top, third floor corner. The room was very clean and generously dimensioned. The room had a coffee machine, microwave, clothes steamer, coach. The bed was huge and we slept well. This is a city hotel without pool, etc. I didn't like the fact that the hotel required presentation of my passport and taking details from my passport. I fail to see how this is reasonable. I do not mind proving identity, but do not think it reasonable to take details as this can be abused."

"Lovely studio apartment with kitchenette. Comfortable bed and decent night's sleep considering we were right in the city centre. One of our studios was at tye front of tye building with a better view. The studio at the back was not such a good view. Easy to get to lots of places with the Subway nearby . We also got a taxi to Pollock Park and the Burrell Collection. Enjoy this wonderful city with all it's amenities and vibrant night life."

"The staff at the hotel are absolutely lovely and really helpful ..I felt really welcomed and especially Fraser, Louise and David always acknowledged me and we're very personable, asking how my stay was. They made my stay comfortable and I appreciated their care. However, I didn't have breakfast at the hotel and I found it so disappointing that there was no kettle, tea or coffee making facilities in the room. For me, this is a minimum comfort requirement if staying in a hotel along with towels, etc. I also found my room slightly clinical with no carpet and no chair, apart from a fold up stool. It felt very basic and the heater was loud and didn't always come on. I think if a kettle was available, with tea and coffee making and at least a rug on the floor, I would have given a better review."
