The check-in and check-out procedures were conducted smoothly. The hotel is conveniently situated in close proximity to Nagasaki Station and the local city tram station. A convenience store and a shopping mall are located nearby, directly below the hotel. The hotel itself is located on the second floor of the shopping mall, requiring an escalator ride to access. The room was clean and spacious for a solo traveler, even featuring a dedicated area for hanging clothes. The bathtub was also quite satisfactory and clean. I was very pleased with my stay and hope to return should I visit Nagasaki again in the future.

đď¸ The hotel is situated on a narrow street just off the main road. The location is ideal, with Peace Park Nagasaki and the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum within walking distance. A short walk to the tram station provides easy access to other attractions. A Lawson convenience store is just 200 meters away. Though the area is a bit dim at night, it remains safe for walking.
đ Parking is available for 1,500 Yen per night. While it might seem a bit high, but nearby parking options are limited. Additionally, the receptionist speaks English, which is very convenient for foreign tourists.

The staff were pleasant and I wanted a hotel which was very close to the hypo center and you don't get any closer than this it is literally about 50 yards from the museum and maybe 150 yards from the ground zero. The room itself was very basic it had what you would need but no more there is a shop on site which said it was going to close at 9:30 however when I went downstairs at 8.10 it was already shot so I had to go for a walk in order to buy what I needed which I was not expecting as it was pouring down with Rain. I would recommend this to solo Travelers who are younger but just make sure you arrive with drinks and food.

Front desk staff cannot speak English. We requested for change of room as the room aircon is completely not working and itâs very stuffy. We went on to and fro for almost one hour before we finally get another room with better ventilation. We need to switch on the air purifier in order to generate some ventilation in the room which is ridiculous as the aircon is very weak. Location wise is good, room is clean and house keeping is great. Just that the temperature in the room is really not to the expectation even when we travelled now is cool weather, I cannot image if it summerâs time, it would be like a Sauna !!

17min walk from Hakata JR train station. Facing the very tranquil Naka river. Entry to building and room is by following email instructions and QR code and is easy.
Room clean, everything in its place. Beds & pillows comfortable and clean. Everything works- including ironing board with iron, hairdryer, all kitchen amenities and tv (local channels).
We awoke to blue skies and the peacefulness overlooking river is beautiful to experience. Absolute silence as there are no roads nor crowds.
A very pleasant stay.
PS: only one issue - during the night, there was a periodic doorbell âding-dongâ which unfortunately woke me up 3 times. It wasnât our room, I even went out door but could not identify origin. I am a light sleeper, but the rest of the family slept thru it.

We had a great stay in this hotel. Itâs close to train station and a lot of places to eat around. The hotel doesnât provide parking space so we had to park at the public parking area near the hotel. Itâs a great hotel overall.

I booked this place only for one night but it was totally worth it, and I immediately regretted my past decision of booking this place only for 1 dayâŚÂ
It was perfect place for calm-wellness kind of fam-trip with its spas(located in each bldgs!), delicious dinner(pre-booking is a must, i presume?) and breakfast!
Inasayama(MT.Inasa) hillâs location could be the only problem but if you do not insist in downtown tour, it wonât bother you!!!!Â
They have pre-booking(1day ago) guest only shuttle bus but operation time is very limited!

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Everything about this hotel just worked. The room was clean, spacious and properly laid out. And the amenities were fantastic. From the natural hot spring to the massage chairs to the free refreshments and free evening (small) ramen. There is a shopping mall across the road (AMU Plaza) and also a tram stop a stone throw away. The breakfast was good but nothing to write about. And if thatâs not close enough, there is a 7-Eleven next door (and connected to the hotel).

YYoong HoeReally loved my stay at Hotel Indigo Nagasaki Glover Street. The hotel itself is beautiful. Itâs in a converted historic building and the design is just stunning.
The highlight for me was the harbor view from the room. Watching the ships and the water was so relaxing and made the stay feel extra special. The location is perfect too; you're right in the historic district by Glover Garden, but still close enough to convenience stores for whatever you need. Between the unique âchapelâ restaurant and the modern, comfortable rooms, itâs easily one of the coolest places Iâve stayed. Highly recommend for the views alone!

NngesanStayed one night in this hotel, the interior is new and clean. The mini self service cafe at the reception is very welcoming, they even provide take away cup for guests to bring the coffee/tea to the room, I find this is a thoughtful gesture.
This hotel has good variety of amenities, the room is compact and functional, good for solo travelers. There is a microwave in the room to heat up the food, and humidifier at the common area if you ever needed one. I personally like the public bath a lot, especially the outdoor pool. The room has the body wash and shampoo, other toiletries can be self service from the reception.
Not forget about the location, just a stone throw away from 2 tram stations, basically you could travel around Nagasaki from these 2 tram stations.
One thing worth mentioning is, the bus no 5 that goes to Inasa-yama park cable care and slope care station, is just few minutes from the hotel, which is a pleasant surprise and saves me a lot of time when I was trying to find my way to the park.
Overall, I had a pleasant stay in this hotel, highly recommend it!

MMagmagcuWe are coming with family occupied two rooms. Front office staff are very nice and arrange us on the same floor. The rooms are big enough to open two large suitcases. The double bed is so huge that can sleep three people. The only complaint is the car park arrangement, this information need to post in the website for us to aware in advance as the carpark is not on the same building and there is no space to park the car for unloading the luggages. The front office staff only tell us we cannot drive through the building at that time cars cannot enter. We need to park to two designated parking areas which make us in a hurry to drive away the car.

EEthan Dun KapLocation-wise, the hotel is conveniently right in front of the Ohato Station of the Nagasaki tramway system, and is a very walkable distance away from many attractions including Dejimamachi, Nagasaki Shinchi Chinatown, and the Nagasaki Seaside Park. The cleanliness of the room and hallways was excellent and the front desk receptionists were kind and welcoming. The coin laundry room has 4 washing machines and 4 dryers (as of Sept 2025; do note that the coin laundry room feels like a free sauna when at least 4 machines are running), the wifi for guests worked consistently, and the smoke-free policy meant that no areas smelled of smoke. The air conditioning for the rooms was sufficiently cool, the lighting control and mini alarm clock by the bed worked well, and overall the room felt very cozy and comfortable to stay in. Because the single room has a relatively narrow entrance walkway, try to avoid bringing multiple pieces of large luggage as there may not be space to open them at the same time. I greatly enjoyed my stay here (especially it being my first solo trip), and would book it again if returning to Nagasaki in the future.

It's a decent choice. Exactly what you expect from a hotel in Japan.
The 5/5 for location is due to nice closeness to the train station - perfect! Please note that it's far from the Nagasaki Nuclear Bomb Museum, Monument and the one legged Tori!
The 5/5 for Service is because it's Japan. The staff is amazing, but it's not like South East Asia in Service, but for Japan, this hotel is fulfilling exactly what you expect!
You don't do something wrong booking this hotel, if you want a bit of a decent budget solution - this is your go-to hotel!

DDr.p3pp3rThis hostel has some genuinely strong points, but also several issues that stop it from being a great stay. Itâs very much a mix of highs and lows.
The positives:
The common room is comfortable, with very good sofas and fast Wi-Fi (though it occasionally drops out â a router upgrade would easily fix this). Thereâs a shared kitchen with a labelled fridge, and the location is excellent for exploring Nagasaki.
Dorm rooms are good value for the price. Bed spaces are a decent size, with excellent blackout curtains that block light even if others leave the lights on. You also get a small lockbox for valuables.
The negatives:
Check-in is fully self-service with no reception. Youâre given a folder with rules and keys, but if you need help, thereâs no clear support â which can be stressful, especially for travellers without phone SIMs.
There is no lift. I stayed on the fourth floor, and the narrow stairs make carrying luggage difficult.
Facilities per floor are also limited: only one toilet and one shower shared between multiple dorms, plus the washer and dryer on the same floor, which feels insufficient and awkward.
Extras are all paid separately (towels, toothbrushes, earplugs, etc.). A towel really should be included at this price. Guests are also expected to ***** their own bedsheets at checkout, which feels excessive.
The common room layout could be improved. A large hammock takes up space and reduces seating â replacing it with chairs or bar seating would make the area far more usable. There were also staff or long-term workers frequently occupying the common room, which made the space feel less guest-focused.
Air conditioning is locked and cannot be adjusted, so if youâre too hot or cold, you have no control.
Would I stay again?
As a backpacker on a very tight budget, yes â tahe location and price make it workable. But if you can afford it, Iâd recommend paying more for a private room nearby. There are many hotels in the area offering much better comfort and support.

OOlga TarI really didn't expect anything from staying at this hotel, as it was twice as cheap as anything in the area. But it's really a hidden gem!
The location is perfect for exploring Nagasaki, in the heart of Chinatown, lots of eateries in the area, and a tram stop nearby. The entrance is between two buildings and not obvious at first glance, but Google maps will get you there.
The hotel has a retro vibe and doesn't look like a traditional business hotel, but does it need to? Big comfy beds, huge rooms (a lot more spacious than you expect to find in Japan), all the amenities you need inside. The description didn't mention a fridge, but we had one in our room. No view, but it didn't bother us.
Good breakfast for a reasonable price.
The only downside is that they don't have a coin laundry in the hotel, but there are some in the area.
In my opinion, it's more than value for money!

The television in the room even has a dyscryptor on it.
The decoration in the hotel is unique with old style fashion.
I would say I've got a good experience of living in such historical hotel.
