PPengguna TetamuThe first thing I'll write about Richmond Hotel Premier Sendai Ekimae is the good location. It's right next to Aobadori Station, but there is only a stairway down. An elevator is located not too far away, and I'll get to that in the last part of this review.
The lobby of the hotel has a nice ambience, and the hotel offers one complimentary drink and a complimentary bowl of soba noodles. Since the majority of hotel guests take advantage of these offers, the lobby and bar can be crowded during both day and night (until 22:00).
The staff whom I interacted with, especially the young lady upon check-in, were all very friendly and helpful.
Water coolers are available on each floor next to the elevators, so if it's late at night and you're out of water, you don't have to go far. This is a good service by the hotel.
I really like the fact that from the ground level, you can take the elevator directly up to your room floor, bypassing the usually busy and crowded lobby.
When it comes to sound insulation between rooms, unfortunately this was not too good. I was able to hear my neighbours banging their limbs, suitcases, clothes hangers etc. against the walls. I didn't really hear talking, but that's probably because my neighbours were Japanese and talked to each other in low tones (non-Japanese people should emulate this). As for noise from the streets, my room faced another building (which was what I requested), so I didn't hear much traffic noise.
The shower temperature in my first room fluctuated badly. It would be hot for about 30 seconds, then it turned cold for a minute, then hot again for 15 seconds, then cold again for a long time. The hotel staff helped me switch to a different room, and the shower temperature in the second room was fine.
The furniture in the rooms are a bit old, but that's not a big issue. The fridges on the other hand are too small and not cold, the hotel should purchase larger and better units.
A nitpick of mine is having to use the television to choose the 'Do Not Disturb' sign for the cleaners. I'd much rather a switch next to the door, or the traditional sign to hang on the doorknob.
I did not have breakfast at the hotel nor did I use any of the facilities, so I have no comment on those services.
Overall, I had a good stay at this hotel and would recommend it to others. I hope that in the future the sound insulation between rooms can be vastly improved, and that the hotel can provide physical 'Do Not Disturb' signs or switches.
Side note: If you have large luggage and need an elevator, you have to walk south just a little along Atagokamisugi-dori, and soon you'll see an elevator to the underground station. When you get into this elevator, get to the lowest level, and when walking to Sendai station via the underground passage, there is another elevator in an oddly-angled corner.

PPengguna TetamuWe went to Sendai for last three years and we stayed at this hotel for at least three to five days. Nevertheless, no loyalty credit has been given. We booked a room at the last date we left Sendai (ie 2-3 Dec) and lastly we changed our mind to stay tat this hotel for two more days (ie 30 Nov to 2 Dec). When we asked if we could stay at the same room from 30 Nov to 3 Dec but not staying at the corner room, the hotel replied either we had to upgrade the room we booked for 30 Nov to 2 Dec by paying extra JPY4,000 or downgrade the room we booked on 2-3 Dec. 「No refund」was offered for any downgrading, thus we had no choice but paying extra JPY4,000. When entered into the room, we saw some rubbish on the floor, we went down to the reception immediately, in the lift, one of receptionists was with us, we intended to tell her about the cleanliness of the room but she didn’t make any response, seemed that it was none of her business. We showed the vedio regarding the rubbish to the receptionist and asked to change the room. He replied no available room for the change and no helper could help us to clean the room. At last, the receptionist came up and pick up the rubbish. No offer to clean up the room next day but sticking to the hotel’s rules to clean the room every three days. We were very unsatisfied with the hotel services and concerned about the cleanliness of the hotel.

MMC ShiThis is a surprisingly good hotel, especially considering the price. It’s about a 5-7 minute walk from Sendai Station. I was impressed by the organ (yes, a real organ!) in the lobby, along with a grand piano nearby. The room is spacious, and the hotel even offers a spa, which is a real plus for a Western-style hotel. In the evening, there’s live piano music in the lobby, accompanied by free drinks, nuts, and even noodles. You can really feel how hard the hotel tries to provide excellent service.
For the friendly and committed hotel staff, this is a hotel I would happily stay at again next time I’m in Sendai.

Ttraveller_eyscI had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were warm, attentive, and always ready to help, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment I arrived. My room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with all the essentials provided. The facilities were impressive, especially the dining area and overall cleanliness throughout the property. Location was convenient, making it easy to explore nearby attractions and access transportation. Breakfast offered a good variety and everything tasted fresh. Overall, the hotel delivered great value for money, and I truly enjoyed my time here. I would happily return and highly recommend it to others.

권권형It was a perfect stay. Everything including amenities, services, beds, facilities was awesome. Room is very clean and new, employees are so kind.
Especially, we had left our belongings in the safe, and realized it after we arrived at tokyo. We made a call to this hotel and the manager handled this situation very professionally!
They made a delivery to tokyo, which arrived early in the next morning, so we are now at narita airport without stopping by sendai again!!
Definitely willing to stay here again if I have a chance to visit sendai again. Thank you so much!

However,I will not recommend this hotel If you have rented a car for your trip as the hotel does not have its own car park. There are 3 shared car parks near the hotel and they are quite full on Sat and Sun.

Room and hotel both had nice amenities. But the room could have been a bit cleaner. I noticed during my 4-night-stay, that the room had not been vacuum cleaned once and two times I received a slip of paper by the cleaning staff that the cleaning could not be completed. One time they stated that there still was my stuff on the table and therefore it could not be cleaned. Another time, they did just leave the slip without checking a reason. I was confused both times, since all the things left on the table were the ones the hotel put there. The bathroom should also not only be treated for mold, but should be cleaned more thoroughly in general, since there was still dirt on the walls and cealing, which caused a small number of flies to live in the bathroom.
Some people might also find it hard to fall asleep, since the walls are thin and you can hear the noise from the street as well as the very loud bathroom vent that is on 24/7 and cannot be switched off.
Location of the hotel was easy to find and very central, so that was really nice.

PPengguna TetamuThis hotel in Sendai is extremely friendly to international travelers. One of the staff members can speak Chinese, which was incredibly helpful for us. She assisted us with many things during our stay and helped arrange luggage storage before check-in, making everything very smooth and convenient.
The room is also slightly larger compared to many hotels in Japan, which made the stay more comfortable. The location is excellent as well — it is very close to Sendai Station, and there are supermarkets and many shops nearby, making it very convenient.
Overall, it was a wonderful stay and there is really nothing to complain about. I would definitely recommend this hotel to other travelers visiting Sendai.

PPengguna TetamuClose to JR Sendai station which is connected to 2 malls, Parco & SPal, with lots of food outlets & stores.
15sqm room was small, difficult to fully open suitcases. The bathroom has tight space & the shower tub is too high so need to be careful when stepping in or out & there's no safety rail to hang on to.
The breakfast buffet has roughly same items daily, only minor changes in fruit/vegetable juices & some other items. They provide takeaway boxes for breakfast food to eat in your room or on the trains if you are travelling so that's a big plus.

PPengguna Tetamu地點離仙台車站遠了點，但如果是3-4人住的話直接搭計程車去車站或clis road其實不會比地下鐵的票價貴太多，而且很快就到了。
離馬路近所以隔音稍差，但如果你本身就住慣市區的話並不影響睡眠。其他的都很好，不是問題。
