Hotel berhampiran Kuil Sanjusangen-do, Kyoto

Second time staying at this hotel (so we forgot to take photos of the room). The location is great, just next to Kyoto Station. There is also a famous ramen shop nearby. Room is spacious (able to pop open 2 check-in luggage bags comfortably) & clean and the beds are combined super single, so we slept comfortably. Room was cleaned daily and they provided comfortable pajamas for sleeping. They also have a lounge area for snack and drinks. Would highly recommend this hotel!

I love this hotel so much. It was right next to a train station. So close to Kyoto station yet it was not a crowded area. Accessible by train station and nearby bus stop to explore Kyoto. A Family Mart konbini within the same building. The room was so comfortable for 3 of us. We love the amenities provided including the pyjamas. Will definitely be staying here again.

Lokasinya hebat! Hanya kira-kira 5 minit berjalan kaki ke stesen kereta api JR sebagai terminal bas. Ia berada di hab pengangkutan yang sangat mudah ke setiap bahagian Kyoto dengan bas atau kereta api. Hotel ini baru dan kemudahan diselenggara dengan baik. Ia telah mendapat onsen juga walaupun lokasinya di bandar. Oleh itu, adalah baik untuk berehat selepas hari yang memenatkan. Bilik ini bersih dan luas untuk standard Jepun dan di bandar besar seperti Kyoto. Keseluruhannya hebat

Ryokan hosted by 3 elderly ladies. Peaceful, pleasant stay. The room is traditional tatami and futon - even in early spring, room was warm with heater and clean, futon was thick and comfortable. Room big and well furnished, even has a small table for ocha and okashi. Toilet was my favourite - separate toilet and bathing room, comes with tub to soak in like in the old time jap dramas. Hot water and strong. Location convenient near all impt attractions, but also not too near to be hectic and crowded. Loved the stay!

Lokasinya strategik, hanya bersebelahan dengan Stesen Kyoto yang menempatkan Isetan 12 tingkat yang mempunyai dewan makanan yang menakjubkan ini. Ia juga mempunyai Porta Dining supaya anda tidak akan kelaparan. Perkhidmatan pelanggan adalah cemerlang dan tepat. Mereka membantu saya dengan pemindahan bagasi ke hotel Osaka saya. Seterusnya ialah bilik, yang besar untuk standard Jepun. Suka reka bentuk bilik dengan pemisah pintar ke tandas. direka dengan begitu baik. Sarapan bermula jam 6.45 pagi. Penyebaran yang menarik dan kami dapat mengetahui cara orang Jepun bersarapan. Hotel ini adalah salah satu sebab penginapan saya di Jepun sangat mengagumkan dan saya akan mengesyorkan kepada orang yang ingin menginap di sini.

Although it was short, I loved my stay here. Had great quality of sleep. Good base for Kyoto, near enough to key locations, but expect a lot of walking unless you use the bus. Nearest station is Kyoto Kawaramachi which is great for day drips just outside central Kyoto and if you are coming from Osaka or Kansai airport - see my tips below. Pros: great bathroom and toiletries, good water pressure and temperature, smart toilet, TV with streaming services, fridge, desk/stool, coat hooks (handy for winter time), semi-full length mirror, luggage rack, various lights to adjust to your preference, very clean, super comfortable firm mattress and pillows, good soundproofing for light sleepers, great air conditioning (room warms up pretty quickly in the winter), you can also open the windows which is nice, felt very safe as a solo female, can ask for more water bottles in reception, lift was never crowded, outlets next to bed, has luggage storage if you need, near the river and traditional streets for scenic strolls, close to bus stop, family mart otw from station for late night snacks. Cons: can hear police cars or cars with loud engines at night sometimes but not frequent, walking from the station with a suitcase was a bit longer than expected, my double room was a bit cramped for opening suitcase (could not open the front or bathroom doors fully to avoid hitting my suitcase) and I am one person (two suitcases would fit but you wouldn't be able to walk around the bed properly). Tips: If you are coming from Kansai airport (KIX), I recommend you take the airport limousine to Namba (bought a return ticket since it is cheaper). It drops you outside JR Namba station, you can go inside to get to the metro station, follow signs for the red Midosuji Line. Board the train to Umeda. Stay inside the station and follow signs for Osaka-Umeda or the brown Hankyu-Kyoto line. This line goes directly to Kyoto Kawaramachi station. When stations, always look for the lift signs if you have luggages. I think I took the lift closest to Exit 4, and it brings you up to a department store. You kinda have to walk through and get out. If you walk out the front entrance, there are a few steps, but if you go to the side doors, it has a slope to avoid carrying suitcases. It's a straight walk from the station. Unless you are doing day trips, Kyoto city buses are a lot better mode of transport in my opinion.

• room: essential and fresh furniture. Bathroom little more spacious than average for this category. Bedsheets are very thin and there is no protection cover for pillows and blanket which have lots of stains. Curtains do not fully cover light from the window but my window was facing a wall so there was not lot of light in the morning • amenities: laundry room with microwave corner but unfortunately smells strongly of cigarette as the ventilation is probably shared with the smoking room. There is a smoking room right behind the entrance door which makes all the ground floor smell like cigarettes. It is a • location: 20 min walking distance from metro and same distance to go to the central shopping area • staff: essential in their support. If they see you having trouble entering the property with the code they wait very pong before helping. Be aware that it is a self checkin hotel • breakfast: I did not used • noise level: my room was quite silent, on weekend few people were noisy on the street but for a short while my background: I travel 320 days a year since 8 years staying in all range of accomodation from hostel to 5star. I am sensitive to dust smoke and noise and I just review objectively what I see with no judgement

Great location and helpful staff! They let us store our luggage for free before check-in. The neighborhood feels safe and is packed with eateries, cafes, and shops, with a market within walking distance. On the downside, the rooms are very cramped and bare—just a bed and a bin with no other amenities. The walk from the station is a bit long, so the bus is a better option. Also, sharing one shower per floor is inconvenient, and there are no bidets in the toilets. The location is perfect, but the hotel really needs to improve its basic in-room facilities.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel, where the hospitality truly stood out. The front desk staff greeted me with the warmest smile one that never faded and offered an ice cold towel to wipe off the summer sweat. Such a thoughtful touch in Kyoto’s scorching heat! The room was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and provided a peaceful retreat after a long day of sightseeing. Small acts of kindness like this make all the difference, and I’m so grateful for the staff’s attentive service.
