"Cleanliness was definitely not there as layer of dust can be seen everywhere (on top of the kettle, on top of the bedside table or dining table). Stains(water marks/from drinks?) can be seen on the table too. Location was very ideal just beside yasaka shrine. But need to walk quite a bit from MRT station. Convenience store was like 5mins away. Room was very spacious for Japan standard!"

"i love this place. The accommodation is clean and equipped for basic meal preparation and washing machine. The location is excellent and very strategic, as it is within walking distance of major tourist attractions such as Kiyomizu-dera, Yasaka Shrine, as well as shops and lively streets. The check-in process is easy and straightforward. Each floor has a designated area where guests can temporarily store their luggage if they arrive early or after check-out. This allows you to leave your bags and return a few hours later to collect them. However, the luggage area is unattended, so it is advisable not to leave any valuables in your bags. We can see the Shrine from our window!"

"The place was clean, but unfortunately I didn’t really enjoy my stay. It was very noisy, and I could hear a lot of noise from outside and around the accommodation, which made it difficult to relax and sleep properly. Cleanliness was definitely a positive, but overall, I wouldn’t choose to stay here again."

"The hotel is located in a Buddhist monastery . It has curfew (need go back to hotel before 11:00pm) and has Buddhism ceremony in the very early morning. It is quite special experience staying here. The room is clean and quite and the surrounding of the hotel is tranquil ."

"What was good: This hotel has an excellent location right in the heart of the historic Gion district, which becomes exceptionally beautiful in the evening. There are many cafes and restaurants nearby, and a Lawson convenience store is just 100 meters away. The subway is about a 10-minute walk. The room includes a kettle, a good air conditioner, shampoo, and body wash. On the first floor, there’s a free machine offering several types of coffee capsules and tea bags to choose from. What was bad: This is not a hotel but more of a guesthouse. We had a room with two bunk beds. To heat up food, you need to go down to the first floor because there is no microwave in the room. All services come at an extra charge: room cleaning costs 3,000 yen, the shared washing machine is 400 yen, and drying clothes is 100 yen. There was no iron in the room, and the mattresses were very hard — like lying on a board. My wife and I woke up many times during the night because our backs hurt."

However, it is not friendly for those tourists who drive, because its parking does not have an elevator for going to lobby, that means you need to carry your heavy luggage to walk upstairs for checking in."

"Отель расположен очень удобно, на тихой улице в 2 минутах ходьбы от входа в Гион и в 7 минутах пешком от метро. Отель комфортный, номера непривычно большие для Японии, есть все необходимое для удобства проживания. Персонал очень вежливый и отзывчивый. На рецепшен работает милейшая русскоговорящая девушка))) Вокруг отеля довольно разнообразная инфраструктура, есть рестораны, магазины. В целом, наше пребывание в отеле прошло отлично!"

"기온거리, 청수사랑도 가깝고, 주변에 식당, 카페, 선물샵도 많아서 좋았습니다. 역이랑도 가깝습니다. 일본 숙소답게 방은 넓진 않지만 하루 자기 좋습니다. 어메니티도 다 구비되어 있었습니다."
