Lovely hotel! The hotel is 10 min walk from the old twon. Our room was very clean and spacious with great shower! The staff are incredibly polite, welcoming and friendly. The staff from cafe at the front went out of their way to get us vegan cake in the evening. The bar staff was lovely as well and drinks and food reasonably priced. The breakfast had good selection for anyone including nice vegan options. Definitely try the vegan strawberry cake, it was the breakfast highlight for us. As they are renovating spa we couldn't use the hotel ones (we will have to come back to try). They offered options nearby but we opted for a different place for our massages in the end. Overall great stay and we will definitely come back.

We stayed at the Moxy recently and have mixed feelings. On one hand, the hotel itself is great and we enjoyed the atmosphere and the facilities. On the other hand, the service we received regarding a flight cancellation left a bitter taste. We were originally booked for Feb 18–21. Due to a severe snowstorm on the 18th, Bucharest airport was closed and our flight was rescheduled, meaning we could only arrive on the 19th. When we contacted the hotel to explain the situation (a clear case of ”Force Majeure”) and asked for some flexibility with the dates, the staff was quite dismissive. They claimed that because the booking was made through a third-party app and not directly, they couldn't help us at all. While we understand the technicalities of third-party bookings, the rigid and empathetic-free approach was disappointing. Despite this, we chose to extend our stay until the 22nd because we liked the hotel itself, but the way our initial request was handled definitely cast a shadow over our experience. Bottom line: A cool hotel, but don't expect much help from management if something goes wrong with your travel plans.

The location is excellent; however, I was disappointed that it was not possible to adjust the room temperature. I was informed at reception that the heating system is centrally controlled, and that even if I turned on the air conditioning and set it to “cold,” it would not work at this time of year because the cooling function is disabled. The reason I wanted to adjust it was because the room was extremely warm — I would estimate around 25°C based on the room thermostat. Reception suggested leaving the window open during the night, which I did, but since the hotel is located on a very central and busy street, it was extremely noisy, so this was far from an ideal solution. They also offered to provide a fan. Overall, I believe guests should be able to control the room temperature to their own comfort, especially when the only real alternative offered to cool the room is to sleep with the window open all night.

The place is ok for the price. I have stayed there twice, first time 2 single beds, second time in another section with a double bed. To me my room looked nicer and newer in the room with 2 single beds.
