Review: A Beautiful, Design-Led Oasis in Fisherman’s Village We recently stayed at the Hansar Samui, and it is truly a beautiful property with a thoughtful design. The location is perfect—just a short, pleasant stroll away from Fisherman’s Village, making it easy to explore the local area while still feeling like you have a quiet retreat to return to. The Highlights Dining Experience: The breakfast was a standout. I particularly appreciated having eggs made fresh to order; there is nothing worse than pre-cooked, rubbery eggs left under heat lamps, so this was a huge bonus for me. The Vibe: The swimming pool is lovely, and the beach is kept very clean. The hotel maintains a relaxed atmosphere, complemented by a great selection of background music. Service & Little Touches: The staff were incredibly welcoming and kind. I loved the ”turn-down” service around 5:00 PM, where housekeeping brought little chocolates and water—an adorable touch that made us feel looked after. Facilities: The gym is clean and well-maintained. Crucially for those working remotely, the Wi-Fi was excellent and reliable enough for me to take Zoom meetings without any issues. Room Design: The rooms are beautifully decorated with stunning balconies and views. The bathroom was a highlight, especially the large rainfall shower. Room Comfort & Maintenance We did have a significant issue with the bed. The mattresses are very soft, which didn't suit us at all as my husband has a bad back. It made sleeping quite difficult. However, the staff were wonderful and tried their best to accommodate us; they helped remove the mattress so we could sleep on the wooden base with just the mattress topper. While not ”luxury” comfort, it was much better for his back than the soft mattress. We also had a few issues with a temperamental toilet flush, but to the hotel's credit, maintenance was very prompt in coming to fix it each time. Dining & Logistics We had dinner at the restaurant one evening, ordering the Massaman curry and Chicken Panang. While the food was edible, it was just ”okay”—we were perhaps expecting a bit more given how high the quality of breakfast was. That said, the view from the restaurant in the evening is spectacular, and they occasionally have lovely entertainment. One small hiccup occurred when we booked a taxi through the hotel to take us to the pier for our trip to Koh Phangan. The driver unfortunately dropped us at the wrong port. We had to quickly catch a Grab to the correct one, but luckily we made it just in time for our ferry. Overall Despite a few minor glitches, this was a wonderful stay. The aesthetic of the hotel is gorgeous, and the professionalism of the staff ensures that any issues are handled quickly. I would definitely recommend Hansar for anyone looking for a stylish and relaxed stay in Samui!

They are calling themselves a wellness hotel and they are! The staff are very nice and attentive to the details. There are interesting sessions to attend during your stay and you will love it. The breakfast options were great and I enjoyed them so much while I stayed. The hotel provided a shuttle bus to central mall in case you don't drive. I won't recommend to walk from the main road to the hotel. I want to highlight the gym here that people will love and one more thing the hotel won't accept the customer under 16 years old.

A well-managed hotel with excellent value for money. Cleanliness is consistently high across rooms and common areas. The location is one of the strongest advantages, right in the heart of Chaweng with convenient access to the beach, dining, and transport. Service is efficient and friendly, with staff responding promptly and professionally to requests. Amenities are modern, practical, and well-maintained, perfectly suited for both short business stays and extended trips. Overall, a reliable and comfortable option in Samui, especially for business travelers who prioritize location, efficiency, and comfort.

Good location at chaweng beach, the most lively beach on the island. I got upgraded (later after checking in to one room) for my birthday gift, to a better room near the pool. The lady at reception name mama recommended a good local restaurant to us. Cheap and delicious. Just at the hotel front, the gelato and cake shop, is so nice. The bed was okay but the bird sounds near the room a bit disturbed our sleep. So sad that we didnt get a chance to taste the breakfast, coz we have to leave for morning flight. The hotel is just about 15 min away from the airpot, good for those who planned morning flight

It is a wedding hotel, not a relaxing boutique hotel as it is advertised. I stayed there for 8 nights, and on 5 of those nights there were weddings. They have one small beach and one big beach. Due to tidal conditions, only the small beach is usually usable. We were asked to move after 12:00 PM because of wedding preparations. The big beach is often not usable due to waves and tides, and you need to wait until 2:00 PM for the tide to change. In short, there was ongoing disturbance during the wedding days. Sometimes wedding cocktails take place in the dining area, which means it gets very loud. After complaining about this, the hotel management tried to compensate us with additional discounts. However, after traveling such a long distance, these discounts were meaningless. Make sure to check whether there are any weddings scheduled before making a reservation. The staff are very friendly, rooms are very clean and the food and beverages are reasonably priced.

Beautiful looking hotel, quiet and relaxed but also just a short scooter ride away from Fisherman’s village. For everyone confused about the beach situation: there is a long bit of beach by the hotel. The hotel itseld doesn’t have beds on the beach itself, however, the beds are just above and around the pool area that overlooks the beach. If you wanna lay on the beach, in the morning there is high tide so you won’t be having much sand to lay on, still good for a swim. In the afternoon/evening there is low tide so you can put your towel down easily.

Me and my partner had the most incredible time at Silavadee! After such a long flight, we loved the welcome drink amenities including private beach and the endlessly helpful staff. Nothing was too much to ask. The included breakfast was one of the best I have ever had at a hotel in my life. The choice of food including champagne, freshly squeezed orange juice and extensive À la carte menu were incredible touches. I would highly recommend this hotel for a romantic holiday, or was mainly couples and it had a nice vibe. The free shuttle to Chaweng beach was perfect and meant we could go and grab dinner on the ***** and then get the luxury minibus back. Honestly, this was the best hotel I have ever stayed at and would love to return soon! o

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and were genuinely impressed by the level of service throughout our visit. The staff were consistently friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The location is another major highlight is it is right on the beach, making it incredibly convenient for morning swims and sunset strolls. The hotel itself was comfortable and well maintained, providing a relaxing base for our trip. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for great service in a beachside location.

The room was beautiful and comfortable. Nice swimming pool, have cayak and sub board for free borrow. No breakfast but have kitchen that you can do by youself.
