Oriental aesthetics in every corner The guesthouse is converted from a century-old traditional Bai courtyard house. With its grey-tiled roofs, white walls, and beautifully carved wooden structures, the space carries a quiet sense of history and elegance. The courtyard features water elements, stone paths, and blue and yellow lanterns that create beautiful layers of light and shadow during the day. At night, the soft lighting outlines the architecture and gives the entire space a warm, cinematic atmosphere. The common areas are equally charming, with a stone-built fireplace, vintage furniture, and art pieces thoughtfully placed throughout. The design blends traditional Eastern aesthetics with modern touches, creating a space that feels both timeless and refined. Comfort with thoughtful details Our room was spacious, bright, and very comfortable. A stone feature wall behind the bed, paired with soft bedding and warm lighting, created a subtle sense of “wild luxury” while still feeling cosy and relaxed. Opening the window reveals the courtyard view — waking up to birdsong in the morning and watching the lanterns glow in the evening adds a special charm to the stay. Warm and attentive service From booking to check-out, the hosts were welcoming and attentive. Upon arrival, they introduced the history of the house and highlighted the design features of the property, and were happy to recommend nearby restaurants and local spots to explore. The afternoon tea was beautifully presented, with fresh fruit and delicate snacks — perfect for enjoying a slow afternoon in the courtyard. Breakfast included some local Bai-style flavours, simple yet delicious, and a lovely way to start the day. A peaceful location near the old town The guesthouse is tucked away in Zhongyin Village at the foot of Cangshan Mountain, about a 15-minute drive from Dali Ancient Town. It offers a quiet retreat away from the crowds while still being conveniently close to the main attractions. It brought a sense of calm and poetry to our trip to Dali. I had an absolutely incredible stay here, it was easily the best hotel experience I've ever had. From the moment we arrived, we received such a warm and genuine welcome from the host and his family, making us feel right at home immediately. Our bedroom was impressively spacious and kept perfectly clean throughout our visit. The highlight, however, was the spectacular view; waking up to a panoramic vista of both the city and the lake was truly unforgettable. What really set this place apart was the exceptional hospitality. The host took care of us from the beginning until the very end of our stay, going above and beyond by even personally taking us to the bus stop when it was time to leave. Excellent hotel. The service was amazing from the moment we arrived. I would 100% recommend anybody who is considering a visit to Dali, to stay at this hotel. Modern, clean facilities and great hospitality. Every member of staff was welcoming and accommodating to our needs. A special thankyou to ‘银禧’ for giving us a complimentary room upgrade which made our stay even better. 5 stars. 10/10 🙌

This is a truly unique place that feels like stepping into a serene tea house. The atmosphere is peaceful, with a beautiful garden that adds to the charm. The rooms are cozy and well-maintained, and the corridor is exquisitely decorated with small plants, wood, and rocks, creating a natural and calming vibe. The property is situated among preserved buildings that share the same traditional architectural design, making you feel as though you’ve traveled back in time to the olden days. It’s a perfect blend of history and comfort. Mr. Wang, the gentleman who manages the place, is incredibly friendly and helpful. He went out of his way to provide excellent advice on where to visit in Dali, which made my trip even more enjoyable. Overall, this is a hidden gem that offers a unique experience, combining traditional aesthetics with warm hospitality. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable stay in Dali!

Pemandangan laut dilepaskan, ***anya bersatu, ini adalah kali pertama untuk kekal dalam ***a B&B ini, pengalamannya hebat, pengangkutan di sini juga sangat mudah, ia adalah 15-20 minit memandu dari lapangan terbang dan tinggi- stesen kereta api laju di Dali Xiaguan, kakitangannya sangat mesra, sangat sabar, dan akan menjawab soalan tepat pada masanya jika anda tidak memahami apa-apa sanitasi alam sekitar juga baik, sangat bersih dan kemas, dan harganya sangat berpatutan . Tiada harga hotel 5 bintang, tetapi anda masih boleh menikmati perkhidmatan hotel 5 bintang. Saya sangat mengesyorkan semua orang untuk menempah bilik Saya di sini untuk pergi ke Dali dan saya pastinya tidak meminta bantuan. Sila berasa bebas untuk mendaftar masuk. We had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. The room was spacious, modern, and comfortable, providing plenty of space to relax after a day of sightseeing. The room service was prompt, efficient, and attentive, with the staff always happy to help. One feature we particularly appreciated was the pillow menu, which offered different types of pillows to suit individual sleeping preferences and made our stay even more comfortable. The fitness centre was also well equipped, with a good variety of machines and equipment, making it easy to keep up with our workout routine while travelling. Overall, this is a comfortable and well-managed hotel with excellent service and facilities. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Dali.

The hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the property was well-maintained and tidy. The mattress was very comfortable, and the breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options. The location was also very convenient, with easy access to shopping, dining, and other necessities. One suggestion would be to include the hotel's Chinese address on booking platforms, as it could make it easier for Chinese-speaking travelers to use ride-hailing services. Overall, the hotel was very quiet and provided a comfortable and relaxing stay.

The host is very kind and always willing to help. She herself made breakfast for us everyday. She also adjusted to our timings when we needed her to. The rooms are as advertised. However, we were slightly surprised to see that the room we had booked was quite compact. It was fine for us, but to might want to check the area before booking for two people. Another point of attention, everything in the bathroom worked perfectly fine, but the lack of intimacy (practically see-through glass walls coupled with a thin netting) could be an issue for some people. This is, of course, left to individual preference.

Overall experience average at Dali Ocean hotel Not up to expectation for the price paid for a should be kids-friendly five star hotel in China. eg: breakfast not much choice, and also not feeling very welcome by front desk staff. When i called them through phone, they just hang up the phone without me finishing the conversation yet, this shock me. Hotel not really kids friendly. Normally what I expect from a 5 star hotel which is into kids theme hotel should be more friendly to kids like giving out some small gifts for little ones, but Dali Ocean Hotel did not have such thing. And also price paid not include visiting the oceanarium. Unexpectedly the dinner we ordered through hotel restaurant and truffle pizza (complimentary in my package) are delicious. Room view Ok, can stay for a night to experience it yourself.
