Oriental aesthetics in every corner The guesthouse is converted from a century-old traditional Bai courtyard house. With its grey-tiled roofs, white walls, and beautifully carved wooden structures, the space carries a quiet sense of history and elegance. The courtyard features water elements, stone paths, and blue and yellow lanterns that create beautiful layers of light and shadow during the day. At night, the soft lighting outlines the architecture and gives the entire space a warm, cinematic atmosphere. The common areas are equally charming, with a stone-built fireplace, vintage furniture, and art pieces thoughtfully placed throughout. The design blends traditional Eastern aesthetics with modern touches, creating a space that feels both timeless and refined. Comfort with thoughtful details Our room was spacious, bright, and very comfortable. A stone feature wall behind the bed, paired with soft bedding and warm lighting, created a subtle sense of “wild luxury” while still feeling cosy and relaxed. Opening the window reveals the courtyard view — waking up to birdsong in the morning and watching the lanterns glow in the evening adds a special charm to the stay. Warm and attentive service From booking to check-out, the hosts were welcoming and attentive. Upon arrival, they introduced the history of the house and highlighted the design features of the property, and were happy to recommend nearby restaurants and local spots to explore. The afternoon tea was beautifully presented, with fresh fruit and delicate snacks — perfect for enjoying a slow afternoon in the courtyard. Breakfast included some local Bai-style flavours, simple yet delicious, and a lovely way to start the day. A peaceful location near the old town The guesthouse is tucked away in Zhongyin Village at the foot of Cangshan Mountain, about a 15-minute drive from Dali Ancient Town. It offers a quiet retreat away from the crowds while still being conveniently close to the main attractions. Surrounded by village life and forested hills, the air feels fresh and full of the scent of nature. More than just a place to stay, Mutian Time feels like a living piece of art. It brought a sense of calm and poetry to our trip to Dali. I had an absolutely incredible stay here, it was easily the best hotel experience I've ever had. From the moment we arrived, we received such a warm and genuine welcome from the host and his family, making us feel right at home immediately. Our bedroom was impressively spacious and kept perfectly clean throughout our visit. The highlight, however, was the spectacular view; waking up to a panoramic vista of both the city and the lake was truly unforgettable. What really set this place apart was the exceptional hospitality. The host took care of us from the beginning until the very end of our stay, going above and beyond by even personally taking us to the bus stop when it was time to leave. Suasana percutian sangat popular, inilah maksud perjalanan, saya membuat persiapan pada hari terakhir perjalanan~ Lokasinya berdekatan dengan Ideal State, kurang dari 20 minit pemanduan dari lapangan terbang, dan anda boleh sampai ke tepi laut dengan berjalan kaki . Terdapat perkhidmatan jemput di hotel / Perkhidmatan pengambilan~ Saya sangat menyukai persekitaran hotel secara keseluruhannya keistimewaannya ialah rooftop yang sesuai untuk mengambil gambar matahari terbenam. Pemandangan laut yang indah dan suasana resort yang penuh, gambar benar-benar keluar, kakak-kakak, jangan ketinggalan

The host is very kind and always willing to help. She herself made breakfast for us everyday. She also adjusted to our timings when we needed her to. The rooms are as advertised. However, we were slightly surprised to see that the room we had booked was quite compact. It was fine for us, but to might want to check the area before booking for two people. Another point of attention, everything in the bathroom worked perfectly fine, but the lack of intimacy (practically see-through glass walls coupled with a thin netting) could be an issue for some people. This is, of course, left to individual preference.

Excellent hotel. The service was amazing from the moment we arrived. I would 100% recommend anybody who is considering a visit to Dali, to stay at this hotel. Modern, clean facilities and great hospitality. Every member of staff was welcoming and accommodating to our needs. A special thankyou to ‘银禧’ for giving us a complimentary room upgrade which made our stay even better. 5 stars. 10/10 🙌

The experience at AnYu was perfect. The hotel is located in the ancient city. Taxi/Uber can park right in front the hotel entrance unlike some other ancient city hotels need to walk from the main street, which is incredibly convenient. The ”Nanyang style” decor style is retro and divine. Every single piece of the furniture and decor item is beautifully chosen, even including the fire distinguisher box! Excellent ambiance, BOSE music system is throughout the whole building. Dyson hair dryer, different type of charging cables in the best side table, every single details reflect the thoughtfulness. From exquisite afternoon tea, night snack (Broth of white fungus or hot milk), to ‘fine dining’ breakfast, every detail has been handled perfectly, and all complimentary. Big thank you to the staff, international 5+ star hotel standard, their beautiful smile truly make you feel like home, and hands down they make best coffee in Dali!

The rooms are cozy and well-maintained, and the corridor is exquisitely decorated with small plants, wood, and rocks, creating a natural and calming vibe. The property is situated among preserved buildings that share the same traditional architectural design, making you feel as though you’ve traveled back in time to the olden days. It’s a perfect blend of history and comfort. Mr. Wang, the gentleman who manages the place, is incredibly friendly and helpful. He went out of his way to provide excellent advice on where to visit in Dali, which made my trip even more enjoyable. Overall, this is a hidden gem that offers a unique experience, combining traditional aesthetics with warm hospitality. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable stay in Dali!

Saya memutuskan untuk tinggal di sini di Ideal Tie dengan segera apabila saya keluar untuk berseronok Pemandangan di taman itu menyenangkan dan sesuai untuk mengambil gambar. Persekitaran hotel sangat bagus Pemandangan di dalam taman ini sangat bersih dan kemas Biliknya luas dan selesa taman 24 jam sehari Pembantu rumah membalas mesej tepat pada masanya dan sentiasa responsif terhadap permintaan saya terutamanya penjaga rumah Su Su memberi perhatian kepada saya. Sarapan adalah sangat lazat. Ia hanya dimasak di restoran dan dihantar ke bilik. Ia adalah perjalanan yang sangat gembira.

We chose this hotel specifically for the aquarium rooms, and it did not disappoint. The view of the marine life—including sharks and stingrays—is incredible and very well-maintained. While the location is less convenient for general sightseeing, it’s the perfect destination if the aquarium is your priority. The facilities are very clean, though the toilet area is quite cramped; I could feel my knees touching the door. Despite that, the unique experience and friendly staff make this a worthwhile recommendation for families or ocean lovers!
