The room was incredibly spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The sea view was right in front of us, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, and the housekeeper was warm and chatty.

Oriental aesthetics in every corner The guesthouse is converted from a century-old traditional Bai courtyard house. With its grey-tiled roofs, white walls, and beautifully carved wooden structures, the space carries a quiet sense of history and elegance. The courtyard features water elements, stone paths, and blue and yellow lanterns that create beautiful layers of light and shadow during the day. At night, the soft lighting outlines the architecture and gives the entire space a warm, cinematic atmosphere. The common areas are equally charming, with a stone-built fireplace, vintage furniture, and art pieces thoughtfully placed throughout. The design blends traditional Eastern aesthetics with modern touches, creating a space that feels both timeless and refined. Comfort with thoughtful details Our room was spacious, bright, and very comfortable. A stone feature wall behind the bed, paired with soft bedding and warm lighting, created a subtle sense of “wild luxury” while still feeling cosy and relaxed. Opening the window reveals the courtyard view — waking up to birdsong in the morning and watching the lanterns glow in the evening adds a special charm to the stay. Warm and attentive service From booking to check-out, the hosts were welcoming and attentive. Upon arrival, they introduced the history of the house and highlighted the design features of the property, and were happy to recommend nearby restaurants and local spots to explore. The afternoon tea was beautifully presented, with fresh fruit and delicate snacks — perfect for enjoying a slow afternoon in the courtyard. Breakfast included some local Bai-style flavours, simple yet delicious, and a lovely way to start the day. A peaceful location near the old town The guesthouse is tucked away in Zhongyin Village at the foot of Cangshan Mountain, about a 15-minute drive from Dali Ancient Town. It offers a quiet retreat away from the crowds while still being conveniently close to the main attractions. Surrounded by village life and forested hills, the air feels fresh and full of the scent of nature. More than just a place to stay, Mutian Time feels like a living piece of art. It brought a sense of calm and poetry to our trip to Dali. I had an absolutely incredible stay here, it was easily the best hotel experience I've ever had. From the moment we arrived, we received such a warm and genuine welcome from the host and his family, making us feel right at home immediately. Our bedroom was impressively spacious and kept perfectly clean throughout our visit. The highlight, however, was the spectacular view; waking up to a panoramic vista of both the city and the lake was truly unforgettable. What really set this place apart was the exceptional hospitality. The host took care of us from the beginning until the very end of our stay, going above and beyond by even personally taking us to the bus stop when it was time to leave. Very nice hotel. It’s feels like a 4-5 star hotel. I like this hotel very much. The hotel staffs are superb and very helpful. You can easily catch a public bus no4 just outside of the hotel. So convenient. Only about 20mins walk distance to south gate of ancient town.

This is a truly unique place that feels like stepping into a serene tea house. The atmosphere is peaceful, with a beautiful garden that adds to the charm. The rooms are cozy and well-maintained, and the corridor is exquisitely decorated with small plants, wood, and rocks, creating a natural and calming vibe. The property is situated among preserved buildings that share the same traditional architectural design, making you feel as though you’ve traveled back in time to the olden days. It’s a perfect blend of history and comfort. Mr. Wang, the gentleman who manages the place, is incredibly friendly and helpful. He went out of his way to provide excellent advice on where to visit in Dali, which made my trip even more enjoyable. Overall, this is a hidden gem that offers a unique experience, combining traditional aesthetics with warm hospitality. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable stay in Dali!

原本訂兩晚、剛入住房間就後悔、硬是忍到半夜、實在太吵了、聯繫攜程處理提前退房。 大理洱海公園希爾頓花園 整體沿襲HILTON成熟的品牌水準，放到海外、歐美、東南亞等，大理洱海公園希爾頓花園算得上出眾。因為海外不少同級四星、五星酒店配套簡陋，沒有送餐機器人，想吃外賣必須親自下樓自取，也不配備全天候自助洗衣房，對比之下、這家酒店硬件底子是優秀的。 可放在中國差距就大了 因為同等預算，能挑選的住宿很多，和亞朵、華住旗下一眾四星連鎖酒店對比，希爾頓花園並沒有優勢。 先分享好的：服務滿分💯 💜酒店全員服務態度沒得挑，前台、保潔以及各個崗位工作人員謙和有禮。好服務，撐起了整間酒店口碑。 衞生4.5分、因為我觀察到、保潔阿姨們幾乎沒閑着、不間斷清掃地面、擦拭玻璃窗、她們即使是乘坐電梯時、也在細緻打理電梯扶手與鏡面玻璃。 ❌酒店的缺點： 外觀裝修大氣開闊，室內軟裝陳設看着上檔次，衹可惜好看衹停留在表面、奢而不實。 我分到升級後的山景房型，才發現，不是世外桃源的山景，是直面臨街馬路，是商業街後面的山景。 白天來往車流，人聲喧鬧，隔壁樓層裝修聲，尚且可以外出閑逛躲開噪音，到了晚間才算真正難熬。 客房牆體隔音超級差，像紙糊的豆腐渣工程，隔壁房交談聲、整個樓層的關門響動、聽得一清二楚，夜裡完全睡不好覺。 健身房有電動窗簾、可是、不實用 客人不能自己手動開關、必需得呼叫前台、工作人員來開關、因為遙控器衹有一個、然後電動窗簾還故障了。 健身器材是比亞朵和華住會的酒店多、可是、敗在細節“窗簾”、拉垮健身體驗感。 電動遮光窗簾，工作人員專程來操控降下窗簾，沒過片刻，簾體就自動回彈往上收起，想遮擋強光衹能反覆致電前台派人過來調試，一趟趟找人幫忙關窗簾實在折騰。 健身器械全部緊貼超大落地玻璃 大理紫外線很強，白日陽光透過整塊玻璃直直往裡照射，健身鍛鍊沒窗簾，全程等同於暴曬烘烤，悶熱刺眼。 洗衣機、烘乾機、有自助洗衣房、可是洗烘時間很長、亞朵或華住會、半小時烘乾了、希爾頓要烘兩個小時。 細節短板：亞朵或是華住會、洗烘衣服時、會有紙幣讓你填寫房號、工作人員也會主動幫忙烘、疊衣服、或是送回房間、暖心且方便。 但是、大理洱海公園希爾頓花園酒店、沒有這個服務、不僅洗烘時間長、全程衹能自己看管衣物，沒有工作人員協助收納打理，瑣碎小事格外耗費精力。 諸多小瑕疵都可以將就包容，但住宿噪音問題實在沒法勉強將就。 旅居度假，最核心剛需是安靜。 外表裝潢再精緻、服務禮數再周全，倘若沒法給到住客靜謐休憩空間，終究很難在內卷中留住回頭客源。

The hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the property was well-maintained and tidy. The mattress was very comfortable, and the breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options. The location was also very convenient, with easy access to shopping, dining, and other necessities. One suggestion would be to include the hotel's Chinese address on booking platforms, as it could make it easier for Chinese-speaking travelers to use ride-hailing services. Overall, the hotel was very quiet and provided a comfortable and relaxing stay.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Dali Ancient Town Meishan Guesthouse, and it exceeded my expectations in every possible way. Location – unbeatable and worry-free The location is extremely convenient, right in the heart of Dali Ancient Town. As soon as you step outside, you’re surrounded by beautiful ancient streets and alleys, full of local character. 2-3 mins walk away from the Bars. Attractions, cafes, shops, and amazing food are all within walking distance, which made exploring incredibly easy and stress-free. From check-in to check-out, the entire stay felt completely worry-free. Service – warm, genuine, and unforgettable The biggest highlight of this guesthouse is without a doubt the host. The lady boss is unbelievably friendly, considerate, and welcoming. She is super nice, enthusiastic, and very meticulous in everything she does. From contacting me in advance, patiently explaining routes, to sharing travel tips and local suggestions, she made me feel taken care of even before I arrived. Staying here truly felt like coming home rather than staying at a guesthouse. What made this stay truly special was the personal connection. She even invited me to join a barbecue with her and her friends. We had drinks, chatted late into the night, and shared stories about our cultures, life views, and experiences. Even though I only stayed for two nights, that evening made my time in Dali unforgettable. I felt incredibly lucky to have arrived back just in time for the barbecue. The Bai Jiu, the Yi Zu-style barbecue pork, and the homemade dumplings she made were all fantastic. The atmosphere was relaxed, warm, and full of laughter. Even small details were fun, like the pot cover shaped like the Rolls-Royce Spirit of Ecstasy, which gave us a good laugh. It was one of those nights you don’t plan for, but it’s the highlight of the trip that you will remember for a long time. 😎 Room & Sleep Quality – quiet, comfortable, and well designed The room itself was quiet and very comfortable, with good sound insulation and a thoughtful renovation design that blends modern comfort with traditional charm. The bedding was clean and high quality, and the bathroom was spotless and well equipped. I slept extremely well every night. The entire guesthouse is beautifully designed, cozy, and relaxing, making it easy to unwind after a day of exploring. Value – exquisite and worth every penny This is a highly cost-effective and exquisite accommodation. You can see the attention to detail everywhere, from the design to the service. It perfectly balances the charm of the ancient town with modern convenience. It’s absolutely worth experiencing, and I would not hesitate to stay here again on my next trip. Final thoughts I returned home a few days ago, but when I think back on my trip to Yunnan, Dali still stands out as the most chill and relaxing place and Meishan Guesthouse is a big reason why. The friendly host, the warm atmosphere, and the meaningful conversations made this stay truly special. If I could give 11 stars, I would. Hands down one of the best places I’ve ever stayed. Highly, highly recommended. Will definitely be back!!!

Overall experience average at Dali Ocean hotel Not up to expectation for the price paid for a should be kids-friendly five star hotel in China. eg: breakfast not much choice, and also not feeling very welcome by front desk staff. When i called them through phone, they just hang up the phone without me finishing the conversation yet, this shock me. Hotel not really kids friendly. Normally what I expect from a 5 star hotel which is into kids theme hotel should be more friendly to kids like giving out some small gifts for little ones, but Dali Ocean Hotel did not have such thing. And also price paid not include visiting the oceanarium. Unexpectedly the dinner we ordered through hotel restaurant and truffle pizza (complimentary in my package) are delicious. Room view Ok, can stay for a night to experience it yourself.
