Breakfast was fresh and homemade - local cheese, warm bread, eggs, veggies, and great coffee. We also had dinner at the hotel and were so glad we did. Everything tasted authentic and comforting - especially the khachapuri! Would definitely come back. It felt like a peaceful escape with delicious food and great people."

"If you are looking to be with nature very close the most beautiful mountains then Kazbegi Cottages privude you just that. It has 6 to 7 comfortable cabins, with decent rooms and bathrooms. A very nice lawn outside. Surrounded by mountains, it has a majestic all through the day. A 15 MIN DRIVE BEHIND THE COTTAGES & ONE LANDS RIGHT IN THE HEELS OF THE MOUNTAINS. Beautiful yellow flowers, green grass, cows, wild horses and right at the rear the grey, brown mountains form the magical memory of a lifetime."

"Visited this hotel as part of a group tour of the Caucasus. The drive there was pretty lengthy but it was worth it. The dinner and breakfast were good. The group had a set menu at dinner but when I told them I was a veggie they didn’t hesitate to provide me with something different. The young man behind the bar spoke excellent English and was so helpful The best thing about this hotel was location location location. To wake up to the view of the mountain from your bedroom window was one of the hilights of the hotel So why only 4 stars I hear you say? The hotel lacked any atmosphere and the decor a little dull. But that view was worth 10 stars"

"Fantastic location with breathtaking views all around, even pictures don't give them justice, you have to see this in person! Host was very accommodating and helped us a lot during our stay. Restaurant in this cottage was also wonderful, food was very good and had the home made vibe, and the views in the restaurant were also fantastic of course. This is the best place to just relax and enjoy the nature as it's located at the edge of the town near the mountains and it takes some time to walk there, but it's absolutely worth it! You can do some cow/horsewatching at your own pace. Everything is quiet other than birds signing every now and then, it's just so peaceful in general. Beds were comfy and all amenities were working and clean. Overall I'd highly recommend this place if you want to run away from the city and forget its problems 🦅🌸⛰"

On the day I returned to Tbilisi, there was so much snow on the Jvari Pass that it was closed, but I was able to take the cable car from Kobi to Gudauri and safely returned to Tbilisi. Thank goodness. No photos."
