Great city location Easy walking to all sites Town sites including look out, please the Volcanos can be seen from outside the hostel. staff are very good at trying to accommodate you needs, you can book hikes ATv tours and walking tours at the hostel. There is events on every day like movie nights, salsa classes, Spanish classes, and also the hotels offers spa services. Post card perfect location ! Well managed safe clean friendly Make sure you book Atitlan Selina it’s beautiful, after Antigua get 30% off if you book at reception also use Selina app to get discount codes , We used adventure travel to go on an ATV tour fun and easy way to see a lot of secrets of Antigua in short time.

This place is really lovely, the staff is very friendly and caring and the small courtyard is charming and beautiful. They serve breakfast (usually included in the price of accommodation) which is really fresh and delicious with eggs, beans, fruit, salsa etc. They serve coffee and have filtered water available plentifully. The views from the rooms are quite nice and the staff, again, is very caring. I took a solo hike to Acatanengo and the staff was worried about me (since it is HIGHLY unusual to do the hike unguided in a single day). They reached out to me to make sure i was okay and i thought that was beyond great service. Overall would stay here again and would HIGHLY recommend

Service blanchisserie au sein même de l'hôtel d'une réactivité et qualité exceptionnelles On s'occupe de vous trouver un véhicule Shuttle ou privé suivant vos demandes et disponibilités. I had a great experience at Why Not. I arrived at 8am from El Salvador on little sleep. Andrés checked if my room was available and let me pass early to rest. The rooms are great for the price. Very reasonable. Beautiful terrace with views of all the volcanos. Andrés and Sofia were very helpful throughout my stay. They always assisted and made me feel welcomed. Very central location at an excellent price. --------- Tuve una gran experiencia en Why Not. Llegué a las 8 am desde El Salvador durmiendo poco. Andrés revisó si mi habitación estaba disponible y me dejó pasar temprano para descansar. Las habitaciones son geniales por el precio. Muy razonable. Hermosa terraza con vistas a todos los volcanes. Andrés y Sofía fueron de gran ayuda durante mi estancia. Siempre me ayudaron y me hicieron sentir bienvenido. Ubicación muy céntrica a un precio excelente.

Stepping into Hotel Posada de Don Rodrigo was like taking a journey back to the early days of the Spanish colonial city in Guatemala. The doors, ceilings, courtyard, floors, and decor capture that time to make staying at the hotel like living in a museum. The hotel is lovingly restored and maintained. My favorite room was the restaurant with a spectacular intricate carved wood ceiling painted green and other colors. There's a wonderful old fountain on one wall. In the mornings and evenings, a band plays Spanish music. At night, dancers in costumes perform as well. The room, performers and excellent food and drinks make a visit to the restaurant a don't miss event. When we came back to Antigua a second time before our flight out, we decided to go back to the restaurant for dinner again because we loved it so much. We especially enjoyed the beef tenderloin and sangria. The courtyard is lush and green, with a series of colorful paintings set on easels capturing various sites, and flora and fauna of Guatemala. Flowering plants and the chirping of birds add to the ambiance making for a romantic and charming setting. The rooms line the courtyard with eclectic sitting areas with furniture consistent with the colonial era. There are large pottery urns sprinkled throughout providing water for drinking. The contrast between the hectic street right outside of the hotel, smack in the middle of all of the action, and the serene open hallways and courtyard is striking. We were a bit disappointed our room was very small with just a standard double bed. My husband is 6 foot 6 and it was snug. The only window was a hinged opening in the heavy dark wood antique door out to the courtyard. There was no safe in the room which concerned us because we didn't want to carry all of our cash with us. We ended up hiding money in the room. I suspect we didn't need to work so hard to hide it because when we left money out to tip the people who made up our room, they didn't take it. This happened in other hotels in Guatemala as well. There's security at the front door and the staff members were all warm, friendly, eager to assist, and competent. We didn't expect air-conditioning, and there wasn't any. During the day, the room did get a bit warm and stuffy, but by evening, it cooled off enough to be comfortable. Despite the hotel's age, it was spotless and well-maintained. We ended up staying in three different hotels in Antigua during our trip. This one was my favorite, despite the small room, because the attention to every detail was so thorough. It is an unforgettable place and among the highlights of our trip.
