A conference hotel in winter, everything is up to Five Star hotels standards all over the world. However i was stucked in the elevator for 3 minutes and didn't why the door kept closed.

Hotel ini sangat bersih, saya sangat menyukai gaya hiasannya, ia mempunyai rasa reka bentuk, padanan warna sangat sesuai untuk pemandangan tempatan, dan perinciannya dibuat dengan baik. Perkhidmatan ini sangat baik, restoran bufet sarapan pagi boleh melihat laut dan makanannya banyak. Hotel ini mempunyai kolam renang infiniti luaran. Anda boleh berenang sambil melihat laut. Jika anda tidak mahu berenang, anda boleh datang dengan malas untuk berjemur di bawah sinar matahari. Terdapat juga sebuah bar di sebelah kolam renang. We stayed here for a night in the last week of April 2023 - though we booked this hotel because it mentioned 24 hour access to the park, when we went after the park closed it was not lit up, was quite dark so frankly we would not have been able to enjoy even the large main geothermal pool (we changed and went there, but didn’t even get in when we realized it could be dangerous due to the depth and lack of light), instead opting for a morning dip before the park opened. The rooms smelled a bit musty, and the bathrooms would get wet constantly because the shower “door” was glass that didn’t extend enough to prevent water splashing out so the bathroom mat would constantly get soaked - a pet peeve of mine. Keep in mind the restaurant there shuts early with the last order at 9, so when we got back from the town by 9:20 and wanted to have dinner, we were told to order “room service” - which meant we had to go down to the bar to order the food, pay and wait for it there, and bring the cart up to the room ourselves when it was ready. Not sure if this is the case also for room service order before 9pm. Though the Terra Nostra gardens are worth a visit, in hindsight I would have done it as a day trip, as there are other geothermal pools close by as well that are open until later ( 10:30/11 ), so no need to stay at this particular hotel unless you want access jacuzzis and geothermal pool before other guests can arrive. When we visited the jacuzzis were under scheduled maintenance work until June 2023 so perhaps this access in addition would have made the stay worth it.

Relatively small rooms where it can be a challenge to put away your luggage if on a long stay. Rooms by the road are noisy. Airco doesn’t work and it gets hot and humid on Terceira. Nice roof top bar but a few parasols for shade wouldn’t hurt. Good restaurant with a very sharply price menu of the day. Good location in the very center of Angra. Taxi stop right in front of the hotel.

We stayed for four nights in a king room and returned for one night to a standard room on our way home both were excellent , Check in was so pleasant nothing was a problem stored our cases for 12 days while we visited islands ,Welcome drink is a nice touch and personal card in room each time . Off street parking ,really nice pool with towels available at reception ,lounge off reception with menu was our stop for lunch . Breakfast was perfect lots of fresh fruit and pastries. Outside was repainted while we were staying and looks great, you can see the management are investing and improving the hotel and when you walk in reception lounge/bar has a real fresh feel . Hotel is well located at the end of the sea front and a short walk to plenty of good restaurants. Thanks to staff for a super stay and we will definitely return next year . Honestly couldn’t recommend hotel enough.

Bel hotel , bien qu'un peu vieux. Les piscines interieurs etvexterieurs sont super. Par contre le restaurant, en particulier les buffets du soir, sont trés decevants et pas du tout au niveau de l'hotel.

We stayed here for three nights in a two bedroom garden space. I would have to disagree with the reviewers who had complaints about the accommodations. We found the beds to be comfortable, pillows to be great and the space to work really well for a couple and one child. I could see if you shared the space with two couples, you may have issue that one bathroom only has a tub and no shower. One area they could improve is to offer more than two chairs on the deck given the space is two bedroom. The hot tub was nice. It is not super private with the next door neighbors but that wasn’t a big deal for us. I did have an issue one of the days when they were building a gazebo very close, banging for multiple hours. I brought this up to the front desk and we did not hear the noise again. The power went out during our stay which seemed to be unique. The restaurant handled it well when the power returned. The food was delicious in the restaurant for all meals. Make sure you notify the staff if you have a food restriction. I could see if you stayed here for a week, that you would want more options as lunch and dinner offerings overlap. There are some wonderful nearby restaurants. My main issue comes from having to reserve the gym space. I think they do this because there is a massage area in the space. Given the large property it seems they could move the massage area somewhere else as this set up left us with few options to utilize the gym. I would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful place in a perfect location! Short walk to restaurants, cafes and waterfront. Very clean room. Cute patio. Friendly, helpful staff. Cozy place for our family of 5. Everyone had their own bed. We rented a car to explore the island. Free parking a few blocks away. Thank you Carlos, Luis and Maria! We will be back!

Whilst the hotel was very modern it seemed to lack basics such as a kettle in the room (there is a nespresso machine but for any tea drinkers out there they will know that making tea through a coffee machine is far from ideal) and being able to retrieve an iron. Instead you are expected to put items in for laundry when all we wanted to do was run an iron over a shirt for the evening. Pool area is stunning however has the most uncomfortable loungers you could ever find. They look great but the max stay to bathe is less than an hour before your entire body goes numb. It seems that this stunning hotel is trying to be a little above its star rating and failing on these few points at just trying that bit too hard for the clientele staying. Rooms were very clean although signs of some wear and tear are already starting to show. Location is EXCELLENT and staff helpful, polite and welcoming. Not sure if we would stay again as we are real sun worshipers and really struggled to enjoy the pool area here.

One of very few hotels on Sao Jorge. The location sells it - being perched on a cliff above the sea overlooking Pico. Nice garden and pool area. All rooms have a sea view. Extensive breakfast selection. We had a large room which was comfortable all at a reasonable rate. The only slight negative would be that the hotel is looking a Little tired and dated in part but this does not detract from its overall charm. Clean and good service. Would recommend and would certainly return.

Mooi, zeer rustig gelegen complex met appartementen en hotelkamers. Het complex is gelegen in het rustige dorpje Capelas, kwartier rijden vanaf de hoofdstad en het vliegveld. Een auto is een must, maar die heb je toch nodig om dit prachtige eiland te bezichtigen. Ons 2-kamerappartement was zeer ruim en schoon. De bedden lagen prima met keuze uit twee kussens. Keuken zeer volledig met oven, magnetro, Nespresso apparaat (cups tegen betaling) en waterkoker met gratis thee aanwezig. Het hotel wil vanwege het milieu de gasten stimuleren om minder gebruik te maken van de schoonmaakservice. Bij geen schoonmaak ontvang je per dag een voucher à €3 om in het restaurant te besteden. Echter is €3 in dit restaurant niet veel waard, aangezien de prijzen fors zijn: een cappuccino kost hier €3,50 terwijl op het hele eiland de prijzen voor koffie rond de €1, 20 liggen Je moet zelf om de vouchers vragen, ik vond het geen handig systeem en de compensatie is natuurlijk totaal niet in verhouding (€3 versus geen schoonmaak, handdoeken, opgemaakt bed, aanvulling thee en fles water). Het restaurant waar we koffie hebben gedronken met de vouchers vonden wij ongezellig. Van de sauna, fitnessruimte en het binnen- en buitenzwembad geen gebruik gemaakt, dus dit kan ik ook niet beoordelen. Voldoende parkeerruimte. Gezellig koffie drinken tussen de locals in cafetaria Moby Dick in het dorp. Supermarkten Pingo Doce en Continentale vlakbij op auto afstand. Al met al een prima verblijf.

Hotel muito bom para ficar hospedado, seja para uma escapadinha ou para uma estadia durante um maior período de tempo. Fornece uma experiência agradável. Comodidades muito boas, decoração bonita, boa limpeza, funcionários simpáticos e prestáveis. Quartos espaçosos e cama confortável. Zona do spa, piscina, jacuzzi, etc, é agradável. Pequeno-almoço bom e variado e o jantar buffet é ótimo, com várias opções e comida saborosa.

This hotel needs to do better with the service quality (or lack of) that they provide. At the front desk, as an example, the receptionist got annoyed because we asked for a receipt when we checked out. The welcoming wasn't friendly either, including not wanting to recommend a place to have dinner. The rooms don't have lotion. To iron your clothes, you must go to a house keeping room, because they don't allow irons in the room. The breakfast stuff rarely cleans the plate out of your table, even tho it's a buffet. The hotel is clean, and it has great location.

A Difficult stay and an even more Negative ending! It is with sadness that the management of Hotel do Colegio, due to them not fulfilling an agreement we made on the 26th October and the hotel owner and Team Leader of the reservations depar**ent not replying to five emails I sent to try and rectify the matter, have left me with no option but to leave this review. Before booking a two-night stay at this hotel we on several occasions checked that hey would be able to offer breakfast and dinner for someone who was coeliac, i.e., unable to eat gluten. We also checked that they were also able to offer us a room with two beds rather than one with a double bed. They assured us, in at least three emails, that offering a gluten free breakfast and dinner would be know problem and that they would inform the kitchen so everything would be in place when we went down to breakfast. They also said that a room with two beds had been reserved, so again no problem there. As not being able to eat anything with gluten is an illness I two days before we were due to arrive again reminded them about this and again was told that the kitchen had been informed and that it was not a problem. I also reminded them that we had booked a room with two beds. Due to the positive response, we chose Hotel do Colegio over three other hotels who also said they could cater for my illness, so we arrived feeling very confident that no problems would occur. On arrival we were given the keys to our room and was assured it was a spacious room with two beds. To our surprise and shock this was not the case; the bed in the room had been made up as a double. We were very tired after a long and delayed flight so was not very happy with this. We went down to reception to be told that that room always has two beds rather than one. Our word appeared not be accepted and the person on reception insisted going up to the room with us to check for herself and, of course, found that what we had said was correct. She then said she would contact someone and get it put right. We were asked to wait and after us requesting it were given a cold drink while we waited. Time went on and no-one came so we went back to reception and asked what was happening. She then said the people who did the rooms were at lunch and we would have to wait until they returned. This was not the arrival we had hoped for and expressed our concern. She then said she would show us two other rooms which both had two beds if we would like one of them but added I’m sure you will want to wait for the cleaners to come back as yours is a much nicer room. We agreed to look at the other rooms, which unlike the one we had been allocated were inner rooms and much smaller. Obviously, we preferred the allocated room which was very spacious and also had a nice view. She assured us it would now only be another 15 minutes so again we agreed to wait. Thirty minutes later we went up to the room ourselves and the cleaners were just completing the ch

Experiência horrível!!!!!!! Gravem um vídeo do quarto antes de se acomodarem( mesmo que para nós não servisse de nada) pois acusaram-nos de estragar o ar condicionado sendo que não o fizemos e pediram-nos para pagar 70€, pelos vistos não somos as primeiras porque ha mais pessoas a reclamar do mesmo. Quando saímos do quarto o ar condicionado estava nas mesmas condições de quando chegamos e só depois de já termos saído, ligaram-nos porque disseram que o ar condicionado estava partido, ele estava igual, e ao entrar não se dava conta de nada, a senhora das limpezas de certeza que foi lá mexer propositadamente porque já sabia, há mais gente a reclamar que pagaram também um se condicionado que não estragaram, que seria provavelmente o mesmo e eles cobram sempre. São uns ladroes, pois já o devem ter feito de prepósito, os trabalhadores de lá são muito antipáticos e inconvenientes, não tem jeito para comunicar sequer com os clientes. Gostei muito dos Açores mas a pousada realmente estragou, agora tivemos de pagar 70€ por algo que nem estragamos e é bastante frustrante. Não recomendo!!!!!!

The hotel is right in front of the beach and harbour. It is clean and the staff are friendly. They will give you towels for the beach if you ask A room with a sea and harbour view is worth paying the extra for. Breakfast is nice but the same every day. You can catch the bus to other areas of the island, which is easy and only a few euros. Only 10 minutes from the airport. You can get the bus for a euro or taxi for 10 euros. Restaurants and bars are close by. Managed to find some vegetarian food but not much. The local wine is nice and low priced. Little fridge in the room for cold drinks but no coffee/tea making facilities in the room.

Ons beste verblijf van de 6 Azoreneilanden/ Our best stay of the 6 Azores isles We verbleven slechts 2 nachten op 7 en 8 juni in een junior suite. Zeer ruim met een verblijfsruimte en bijhorende kleine keuken, slaapruimte met erg ruime bedden, badkamer en terras met uitzicht op de oceaan. 2 televisies aanwezig. Gebruik gemaakt van het buitenzwembad en van het bubbelbad. Erg vriendelijke receptie. Prima buffetontbijt met zeer grote keuze, ook aan vers fruit. De waren werden telkens opnieuw aangevuld. Het hotel ligt vlak iets boven de oceaan. Ertussen is er een 'wandelbaan' langs waar je op ca 10' stappen in het centrum van Praia komt met o.m. het O pescador restaurant. Zo kan je je auto bij het hotel laten staan en heb je gelegenheid om de Azoriaanse wijnen te proeven. Het was veruit ons beste verblijf en ontbijt van onze 6 bezochte eilanden (Sao Miguel,,Terceira, Graciosa, Sao Jorge, Pico en Faial). We hadden er normaal een dag langer willen verblijven maar onze planning voor de binnenvluchten en bootverbindingen liet en dit niet toe, daar er niet alle dagen vlieg- en bootverbindingen met alle eilanden (na Terceira, Graciosa) zijn. Komen we ooit terug naar de Azoren, dan is het in de eerste plaats Terceira , met de Atlantida Mar. We stayed in a junior suite for just 2 nights on the 7th and 8th of June. Very spacious with a lounge and associated small kitchen, sleeping area with very spacious beds, bathroom and terrace with a view of the ocean. 2 televisions available. Made use of the outdoor pool and hot tub. Very friendly reception. Excellent buffet breakfast with a large choice, including fresh fruit. The goods were constantly replenished. The hotel is located just above the ocean. In between there is a 'walking track' along which you reach the center of Praia after about 10 steps, including the O pescador restaurant. For example, you can leave your car at the hotel and you have the opportunity to taste the Azorian wines. It was by far our best stay and breakfast of our 6 islands visited (Sao miguel, Terceira, Graciosa, Sao Jorge, Pico and Faial). Normally we would have liked to stay there one day longer, but our planning for the internal flights and boat connections did not allow this, as there are not all days flight and boat connections with all islands (after Terceira, Graciosa). If we ever come back to the Azores, it will be Terceira in the first place, with the Atlantida Mar.

The Shipyard was a wonderful hotel for a family Stay. The design was contemporary and lovely. We had 2 adults and 2 kids in our group and it was perfect as us parents had the room and the kids stayed on a comfortable sofa bed in the living room. The apartments were very well-equipped and spacious. I highly recommend this to a family looking for a place to stay in Terceira. The location was also lovely as it was close enough to the old part of the city and the port for all the water activities. Breakfast was lovely as well. They had a buffet for standard fare like fruit bread and other breakfast items, but you could order from a menu for eggs and coffee orders. Overall very complete solid breakfast offering. Added bonus was the covered underground parking.

Nice, modern hotel, and we had a very nice updated room with lovely views of the ocean and the Fort. Pretty good breakfast too. Free parking so you can walk about 10 minutes to get to the heart of the old town for shopping and restaurants. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The only very small thing we didn’t love was that to get to our room on the 3rd floor we had to walk by the open door of the gym - typical gym smells emanating so wish they would have left the door to the gym closed. Other than that, a great stay!

We did not actually stay at this hotel, but I had an interaction that is worth mentioning. We were exploring the area in front of the hotel when I had a mishap. Nothing major, but I certainly needed some attention. We entered the hotel seeking some assistance, and the front desk staff could not have been more helpful. I'm sure they knew we weren't guests there, but that didn't matter. I'm sure that level of service is also extended to anyone staying there.

This place was really lovely for our young family. Overall, we were super happy. The location was great, right beside a public swimming pool area so lots of fun watching the kids jump off the peer. There was a bus stop meters for. The front Tran e which was great for getting to the downtown (5 mins) and a fun journey. 30 cents each! The pools were lovely, and you can’t beat the view. Good variety at breakfast, not much change day to day but we were always able to find something. We got one of the loft rooms but there was really zero sound barrier so it was hard to do anything once the kids were in bed. Some updating in the rooms would be good but given you’re an island in the Azores, it was easy to overlook that. Reception was lovely and very helpful. Lots of people spoke English or enough to communicate your needs. But above all, you can’t beat the view. It’s amazing!

I was offered a 'quiet' room to the back as by receptions own admission front rooms were noisy due to cobblestone roads. The room was directly over aircon system, generating a constant hum even with windows closed. The bathroom is badly designed, with tight toilet situation. Despite rooms appearing available on booking websites, reception stated I could not move for first two nights. I was told I would be moved further along corridor. On my lateish return, I was then allocated a room to the street - even noisier than before. In addition, despite the manger originally claiming all bathroom designs were the same, this turned out to be inaccurate as the room I was moved to had a well-designed bathroom. Basically, I feel I was just messed around by reception, creating stress and spoiling the last days of the holiday and for the above reasons would not recommend.
