Hotel Dengan Spa di Hebei, China

I recently stayed at the Venice Waterworld Hotel in Shijiazhuang and, unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations. The hotel feels quite outdated and in need of renovation. The rooms were dark and old, with furnishings that seemed worn and tired. One of the biggest issues was the air conditioning—it was old and lacked a proper thermostat, making it difficult to regulate the temperature. Additionally, smoking is permitted throughout the hotel, which was a major downside for me as a non-smoker. The smell of tobacco was pervasive in the hallways and common areas, making the stay less comfortable. Breakfast lacked food for its guests. They were not being topped up according to the people who were in the restaurant. While the location may be convenient for some, the overall condition and policies of the hotel make it a poor choice for travelers who prefer clean, modern, and smoke-free accommodations. If I return to Shijiazhuang, I will definitely look for a different hotel. Rating: ★★☆☆☆ (2/5) – Below Average, Needs Improvement

I stayed with my family for a short stay. The hotel's hardware and software were good, and the staff were friendly. Although there were a few minor issues, it was generally good. The breakfast was also plentiful, and the pillows in the room were very comfortable. Free parking is available, and the surrounding area is very convenient, with gas stations and supermarkets nearby. Shared bikes are also available along the roadside. It's also not far from the Langfang Museum.

整個賓館豪華氣派，品味非凡，硬件精良，是正定區最貴的酒店。可是忍不住還是想吐個糟：1、房間及樓道𥦬户都鎖上了，不透氣，雖然服務員説已開業四年，但住進去還是會感覺憋悶。空調也開不了，服務員大姐挺好，也來幫忙，還是不行，最後把房間窗户開了鎖並打開，又給配了一台風扇吹，空氣才流通些。可問題是晩上開窗大貨車經過時聲音很大，關上窗又悶熱，簡直無法入睡。2、如此高大上的酒店，早餐咖啡機卻沒配咖啡杯，服務員讓我用柱狀杯喝，咖啡味道就不説了。3、酒店沒有任何提示説準備的簡易拖鞋需要付費，按照我們走南闖北的慣性，帶走了路上換腳。結果車到半路接到賓館電話説要付費，一雙25元，我去！反正下次再也不會住了。

We had a slight hiccup during check-in, and traveling with a child, I really didn't want any unpleasantness. However, thanks to the excellent service from Peach 🍑, everything was resolved smoothly. They never shied away from any issues that arose, always trying their best to offer a discount or a small gift to make my child happy. Sometimes, a hotel's quality isn't just about one person's opinion; if everyone could be a bit more considerate of guests, InterContinental would probably avoid a lot of problems! The bunk bed mattresses could definitely be softer; they were really firm, but my child still loved them, oh well!

We went in the low season so it’s value for the money. Very quiet at night and we had a good night sleep. The outdoor hot spring was way too hot that I could barely put in my foot. And it didn’t show the temperature. So end up we went back indoor for the hot spring. The location is quite far from everything. Bit hard for those who’s travel with public transportation.

We only stayed for 1 night but really enjoyed the experience. Due to the centralized heating system, our room was extremely hot and reached 29 degrees celsius even with the window open. We ended up calling the front desk at 4:30 a.m., and within 10 minutes, someone arrived with a large fan. She helped us set it up and adjust the temperature, and it quickly became comfortable enough for us to fall back asleep. Thank you for the quick assistance!

We very much enjoyed our stay. The hotel is conveniently located right by the beach and commercial areas. There are many restaurants and several convenience stores within walking distance. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious and very clean. We tried two of the restaurants inside the hotel — one offering upscale Chinese food and the other seafood buffet, both were excellent. Will definitely choose Shangri-La again if we come back to Qinghuangdao in the future.

This is my second time staying at Qixiu. I personally feel that it is best to stay at this hotel for more than three nights, so that you can rest more thoroughly. The details of the hotel are very comprehensive and detailed in displaying the theme of Qixiu. The decoration style is grand, delicate and solid. The service of the hotel is also good. If you don't think of yourself as an emperor, you should be quite satisfied.

The hotel's location is superb, making it incredibly convenient to reach all attractions. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming! Breakfast offered a rich variety and superb quality. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was also fantastic; the food was wonderfully cooked and delicious. Even as a Southerner, I found the flavors perfectly to my liking! The cleanliness was also impeccable. This hotel is undoubtedly the top choice when visiting Chengde, and its number one ranking is absolutely justified!

The triple room was really great, very comfortable for three girls. It had a fridge, oven, and stove 😜. Both bedrooms had TVs so we could each watch what we wanted without bothering each other. The balcony offered a nice view, looking directly onto the beginner slopes, which made ski-in/ski-out super convenient.
