How to Make the Most of Your Visit to Aquaria KLCC?

Once you have your tickets sorted out, you can start planning your visit to Aquaria KLCC. Here are some tips on how to make the most of your visit:

Check the opening hours and show times

Aquaria KLCC is open daily from 10 am to 8 pm, with the last admission at 7 pm. However, the opening hours may vary depending on special events or circumstances. It is best to check the official website or social media pages before you plan your visit. You should also check the show times for the feeding shows and educational talks at the aqua theater, as they are subject to change depending on the availability of the animals and aquarists. You can find the show schedules on the website or at the entrance of the aquarium.

Plan your route and time

Aquaria KLCC is divided into eight zones, each with its own theme and exhibits. You can follow the signs and maps to explore the aquarium at your own pace, or join a guided tour if you prefer. A typical visit to Aquaria KLCC takes about two hours, but you can spend more or less time depending on your interest and preference. You should also consider the crowd level and the show times when planning your route and time. Bring your camera and accessories

Aquaria KLCC is a great place to take photos and videos of the amazing aquatic life. However, you should also be mindful of some rules and tips when using your camera.

  1. Do not use flash or external lights, as they can harm or disturb the animals.
  2. Do not touch or tap on the glass, as it can also stress or scare the animals.
  3. Be respectful other visitors and not block their view or access.
  4. Bring a waterproof case or bag for your camera, as some areas of the aquarium may be wet or humid.
  5. Bring extra batteries or power banks, as some areas of the aquarium may have low signal or wifi coverage.

Enjoy other facilities and services

Aquaria KLCC also offers other facilities and services that can enhance your visit. For example, you can dine at the Aquaria Café that serves a variety of food and beverages, or shop at the Aquaria Shop that sells souvenirs and merchandise.

Facilities: Some reviews mentioned poor facilities, but I found them to be quite unique and excellent. You can tell from the photos. The only thing is the hairdryer in my room was quite old, but all other facilities were great. Hygiene: The hygiene was excellent, very clean. I brought my own sheets but didn't even need to use them. Environment: Fantastic! I was initially worried about insects and snakes, but I didn't see any, which put my mind at ease. Service: The front desk staff was very attentive during check-in. It was my first time traveling abroad alone, and my English isn't great, but I was checked in and in my room in under ten minutes. Staff helped with luggage both getting in and out of the car. When I was lost, one staff member even helped me with directions and chatted a bit. In short, everyone from the main entrance to the front desk, to the restaurant, and even staff I just passed by, greeted me with a smile. They were all very polite and friendly. I will definitely stay at this hotel again when I visit Kuala Lumpur!

I had a wonderful stay at The Face Suites. The room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a beautiful city view. It felt more like staying in a luxury apartment than a hotel, which was perfect for relaxing. The location is excellent, very convenient and close to many attractions. The highlight of the stay was definitely the rooftop infinity pool — the view is stunning, especially at night. It’s a great place to unwind and enjoy Kuala Lumpur’s skyline. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the check-in process was smooth. Overall, it was great value for money, and I truly enjoyed my stay. I would definitely recommend The Face Suites and would love to stay here again.

Have a pleasant 1 night stay. Excellent cleanliness in our room and very good location (walking distance to Pavilion KL and air condition KLCC-Bukit Bintang Pedestrian Walkway). Could have a more elevated experience if welcome drink is provided. Parking is slightly inconvenience during arrival as we need to drive up to level 5 general parking area before check in, as basement car park is only accessible via room key card. A minor issue, nevertheless a temporary parking area near ground level would be a great additional amenities for guest who drive to temporary park their car while waiting for check in.

Is this really a 5-star hotel? The room wasn't that big, but the bathroom was quite spacious, which was okay. They don't provide bottled mineral water; instead, they offer filtered water in glass bottles with two glasses. If you want more, it's 28 MYR per bottle. The kettle was well hidden; I didn't even notice it at first. There are no bathrobes, so to go to the 11th-floor pool, you have to just wrap yourself in a bath towel. The breakfast looked like it had a lot of choices, but not many options for a traditional Chinese palate. The pool isn't very big and is quite shallow; the deepest part is only 1.2 meters. It's open from 7 AM to 8 PM, and you can see the Petronas Twin Towers from there. The hotel is connected to a mall, accessible from both the first and fourth floors.

Room was spacious and clean, with basic hotel amenities provided. Excellent shower pressure with 3 towels provided for each guest (body, face and hand). Some degree of wear can be seen on certain furnishings and sound proofing may not be the best (can hear next door shower sounds clearly and corridor chatters can be quite audible). Gym is equipped with new technogym body analysis machine and all gym equipments appears new and well maintained. Buffet breakfast was basic, nothing to shout about although one can certainly fill their tummy without issues here.

Dorset Hartamas – First Time & Definitely Last Seriously… Dorset Hartamas with THIS quality? This is my first time staying here, and honestly, the experience was worse than expected. The only thing worth praising is the continental breakfast — and that says a lot. 🛎 Service & Attitude: EMBARRASSING When I wanted to extend my stay from Day 1, someone just dropped the key without any explanation. I was standing there with TWO luggages, clearly struggling — ❌ No bellboy assistance ❌ No offer to help ❌ Just stared at me like I was invisible For a hotel, this is shameful hospitality. Staff were unfriendly, uninterested, and poorly trained. 🍽 Room Service: INSANE PRICING, LOW QUALITY Room service food felt like GrabFood standard, if not worse. RM44 for THIS? Paper box, soggy presentation, and taste that doesn’t match the price at all. Completely not worth the money. 🚿 Shower: SEE THE PHOTO The shower situation speaks for itself. Weak water pressure, outdated setup — definitely not hotel-standard comfort. You expect guests to pay premium prices for this? 🍳 Breakfast (The Only Win) Credit where it’s due — breakfast was actually very good. Many choices, tasty, and easy on the stomach. Sadly, this is the ONLY positive thing about the stay. Overall, this hotel is saved by breakfast only. Everything else — service, attitude, room service quality, and basic hospitality — FAILED. For the price paid, this experience is unacceptable. Definitely not recommended, and I won’t be returning.

The hotel entrance boasts a magnificent, ancient tree, lush and vibrant. The room's cleanliness was commendable, and breakfast far surpassed what I experienced at the Shangri-La in Singapore. On the second day of the ***** New Year, there was a lively lion dance performance, and auspicious 'sheng cai' (lettuce, symbolizing prosperity) was hung at the entrance, with staff dressed in traditional Tang suits. It truly felt festive and full of New Year cheer. This is undoubtedly the best-located hotel in Kuala Lumpur; my three-day stay was a delightful experience.

One of the best views of the Petronas Towers you can wake up to in Kuala Lumpur. The rooms are clean and very functional, with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The staff were exceptionally warm and welcoming throughout the stay. I upgraded to a higher floor with a central view directly facing the Petronas Towers, and the upgrade cost was minimal — absolutely worth it for the breathtaking panorama. The location is perfect, especially if you want to be right next to the iconic skyline of the city. There is also a lovely sky bar on the 33rd floor with a beautiful view of the tops of the Petronas Towers — a place for an evening drink while enjoying the city lights.

Overall, it's pretty good. The views are expansive, the room is spacious, and the bed is comfortable. It's comparable to a decent Vienna Hotel in China, definitely a bit above a 3-star level. The breakfast has a wide variety, including Chinese, Western, and Indian options, and the taste is quite good. I was pleasantly surprised that they offer both soft-boiled and hard-boiled eggs – that's a real plus! It would be even better if the noodles came with a few side dishes, like scrambled eggs with tomatoes or shredded pork with pickled vegetables. The management is also excellent, and the staff are very professional.

Traveling to Kuala Lumpur for Chinese New Year, I saw a lot of good reviews on Trip.com and booked a 4-night stay. On the very first day, there was a power outage. I woke up at 3 AM because of the heat. The next day, after being out all day, I returned to a completely dark hotel lobby – no electricity. My room had power, but no hot water. After a long day of sightseeing, I couldn't shower. I was too tired, so I just went to sleep, and finally had hot water in the morning. On the third day, I came back again to no hot water. When I asked the front desk, they said it would be an hour until it came back on. I was so annoyed and hung up. Luckily, Trip.com's international team was constantly helping me communicate. Thankfully, it didn't completely ruin my trip, but it did make the vacation a bit unpleasant. Trip.com told me they'd never encountered this situation before, but it definitely happened to me.

The service was good. However, it was a pretty old hotel, and many of the fixtures were showing signs of wear and tear. A point to note: it stated that to protect the environment, they would only do house cleaning every 3 days. Due to this, I did not secure my belongings properly, and when I returned from outside, my room had been cleaned. This needs to be communicated to the user clearly to prevent any misunderstanding.

I stayed at Hotel Royal Kuala Lumpur for two nights and found it to be a very practical choice for a short city stay. The biggest advantage is the location in Bukit Bintang — close to shopping areas, restaurants, and public transport, which made moving around Kuala Lumpur easy. The Deluxe room was clean, quiet, and comfortable, with a good bed and enough space to relax after a day in the city. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and the staff handled everything professionally. Overall, this hotel offers good value for money considering its central location. A solid option if you want to stay right in the heart of Kuala Lumpur without overpaying.

The room was well-ventilated and had a small balcony with a street view, but the surrounding area was very noisy. The bathroom was tiny. Perhaps Petaling Street itself is just a mixed bag. Breakfast options were very limited, but for Chinese New Year, the price was quite a steal. I was a little disappointed that there wasn't anyone who spoke Chinese. I personally feel that this stay was very satisfying. My partner and I, along with our two parents, stayed at this hotel. I meticulously compared several options on Trip.com before ultimately choosing this one. Firstly, the environment was exceptionally clean, and everyone was incredibly polite. On our first night, it was quite late when we took a Grab from the train station to the hotel. It was our first time using Grab, and I forgot to select a payment method. When we arrived, the driver asked for cash, which I didn't have. The receptionist at the entrance kindly paid the cash for us, and we were able to find him and reimburse him the next day. Everyone was very welcoming upon arrival, and there were even welcome fruits and snacks. The rooftop terrace was even more delightful; we could swim and enjoy the views up there until 7:00 PM every day. We had a very close-up view of the Kuala Lumpur Tower. I believe that the next time I visit Kuala Lumpur, I will choose to stay at this hotel again.

The first night was okay, but on the second day, the cleaning was a mess. The sheets were practically half-on, I couldn't believe it! 🤣🤣 I had to ask them to come back and fix it. But the front desk service was really good. Nearby, there's Nasi Durian, fish balls, and some Chaoshan cuisine. It's quite far from KLCC though, and taxis are a bit pricey.

I booked the Sky Suite for New Year's Eve and New Year's Day quite a while in advance. The room was spacious, and both the bedroom and living room offered views of the Petronas Towers. However, the room windows were quite dirty, which made photos turn out poorly. The cleanliness was excellent, and there was plenty of bottled water in the room. We received welcome fruit, but it wasn't provided daily. If the hotel were more thoughtful, they could have offered something like sweet soup on subsequent days, as we couldn't finish the fruit. The room rate was quite high; at 6,000 a day, it felt a bit overpriced. We stayed for three consecutive days and didn't even receive a souvenir. The essential oil in the room smelled nice, and I particularly liked the scent of the essential oil in the hallway. Here are a few areas that need improvement: 1. The air conditioning was too cold and couldn't be adjusted above 24 degrees Celsius. 2. The faucet in the sink had no buffer, so water would splash all over you as soon as you turned it on. 3. The main bathroom light was linked to the exhaust fan, which was incredibly loud. Any time you needed more light, the exhaust fan would also turn on, creating a lot of noise. 4. Room soundproofing was poor; we could hear noise from both the hallway and the bar upstairs. 5. The duvet was too thin, and because the air conditioning was so cold, we froze at night. The swimming pool was nice, but there was only one changing room. I'd recommend changing in your room before going for a swim. The rooftop bar charged 1200 MYR for two people on New Year's Eve, and the fireworks were terrible. Overall, this hotel offers very poor value for money.

I was pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of the area, and I absolutely love it! The convenience of having a parking space right next to the hotel for just RM12 per day is fantastic. The only minor downside was a slightly musty smell in the room, but it was manageable. The shower pressure could be a bit stronger, but everything else was quite convenient. I would definitely consider staying here again, especially since my dad really values convenient parking! Please note that the ironing facilities are shared, and the iron may not get very hot. Additionally, the toiletries provided are quite basic, so remember to bring your own toothpaste and toothbrush.

I recently stayed at Momo's KL and had a unique experience that I appreciated, but there were a few aspects I wish could be improved. The bunkies were definitely a highlight! They offered a cozy and fun way to enjoy the hostel experience, with a modern twist. I loved the design and the overall vibe of the place, which made it a welcoming spot for travelers. However, the noise levels were a significant downside. The sound of flushing from the bathrooms was quite audible, which could be disruptive at times. Additionally, being located near the street meant that outside noise filtered in, making it challenging to get a good night’s sleep. Another issue was the proximity of one of the rooms to the speaker by the check-in area. If you’re someone who enjoys a good beat, it might be fine; however, for those looking for peace and quiet, be prepared to be woken up by music. In summary, while Momo's KL has a great atmosphere and unique bunkies that I enjoyed, the noise issues, both from the bathrooms and the street, along with the music from the check-in area, may detract from the overall experience for some guests. It’s a fun spot for social travelers, but if you're looking for tranquility, you might want to consider that!

My last night, there is some smoking scent which I guess the beside room was smoking and the scent is from bathroom duct. The most terrible thing is that there is no exhaust fan in the bathroom. My family and I recently stayed at this hotel for a short getaway, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-maintained, providing a comfortable space for us to relax after a day out. The staff were friendly and attentive, promptly addressing our requests, and the amenities—like the pool and breakfast options—were enjoyable and family-friendly. The location is convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and dining spots. The only downside was the hotel's proximity to the highway, which resulted in noticeable traffic noise, especially at night. It disrupted our sleep a bit, so light sleepers might want to request a room farther from the road side.Despite this, the positives outweighed the minor inconvenience, and we'd consider returning for the value and comfort it offers. It is good for a boutique hotel so do not expect amenities like a pool, gym, etc., value for money. The staff was very friendly and helpful, kudos to them. AC in one of the rooms started making noise in the evening but staff helped change the room immediately when it could not be fixed by them. No restaurant in the hotel and nearby Indian restaurants unfortunately opened late (most in and after lunch hours) so vegetarian breakfast was an issue for us in that vicinity but managed via Hasan Ali hawker center nearby. Can take a grab taxi to most of the KL tourist attractions (factor ~10 min taxi wait time though, grabs' issue) so location is also good. Not a noisy road outside but the view from the room is limited. Not sure about parking but did not see any outside the hotel.
