We upgraded our rooms facing Songbei River on the executive floor and it was totally worth it. The river view was amazing and we were able to enjoy the sunrise and sunset view while having a drink and snacks inside. My husband was quite drained from the coldness outside and it was relaxing to sit and view sun island from a vintage point. Thank you Shangri La. They also gave my children an adorable Dongbei Shangri la tiger. A lovely cherry on the top to our stay at the hotel.

The facilities are excellent, the environment is super clean, and the service is attentive and thoughtful. It's located right in the city center, making transportation incredibly convenient. This winter, I finally made it to the famous 'Ice City' Harbin ❄️ and stayed at the New Paris Hotel 🏨 because the Metro Line 2 entrance is right outside, which was extremely handy for getting around. [Delighted][Delighted] Upon entering the magnificent hotel lobby, staff members dressed in traditional floral padded jackets beautifully showcased Northeastern charm. 🍡💕 The well-equipped room was very warm and comfortable, and the enthusiastic staff kept it spotless. [Strong][Strong] In the morning, I warmed up at the professional gym 🏋🏼♀️, then took Metro Line 2 directly to the intricately carved Ice and Snow World, experiencing a real-life 'Frozen' scene. The room was a bit old and small, and the mini-bar was charged, though complimentary fruit was provided. Both the breakfast and the Executive Lounge offerings were excellent, with a wide variety of choices. The tall ladies at the Executive Lounge were incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. It left a wonderful impression of Harbin's service industry. The only downside was a male staff member in a black suit, seemingly a manager, at the Executive Lounge. His attitude was quite firm and cold. When we first arrived at the lounge, we found a window-side sofa seat, but because we were wearing slippers, he told us to go back and change our shoes. We immediately did so and asked him to hold the seats for us. However, upon our return, he told us he had moved us to a two-person table near the entrance, not by the window, saying the other three people needed the larger space, without consulting me first (his attitude was quite forceful). We had hoped to enjoy the night view from a window seat while having some food in the evening, so this incident somewhat dampened our mood. I felt his consideration was a bit lacking and it contrasted sharply with the excellent service from the other lounge staff.

Spent New Year's Eve at the JW Marriott Hotel Harbin! The hotel's location is truly excellent, just a 5-10 minute drive from the Ice and Snow World, Polar Park, and Siberian Tiger Park. All the amenities provided are of very high quality. Plus, when I checked in, the front desk attendant gave me a room on a high floor with a fantastic view – I could see the Ice and Snow World in the distance, and the Ferris wheel at night, which was so romantic! This made my entire four-day stay incredibly enjoyable. The breakfast selection was very rich, with many local specialties. The housekeeping staff were incredibly responsive and accommodating to all requests. A special thanks also to the patient and enthusiastic pandemic prevention staff member. Highly recommended!

The hotel was spotless and exceptionally clean. This is by far the most satisfying 5-star hotel I've ever stayed in. The location is excellent, very convenient for transportation, and the hotel truly has a charming and dedicated butler service mindset. Everyone on staff served us guests with the utmost professionalism. I'm very satisfied, and if I have the chance next time, I will definitely choose this Sofitel Harbin again!

The hotel's location is excellent, very close to Central Avenue, Hongzhuan Street, and the subway, just a few minutes' walk. It's quiet despite being in a bustling area, which is very convenient. The entrance is a bit small, and the facilities are a bit old, but it's very clean, and the staff's service attitude is very pleasant.

Excellent location. Harbin Railway Station is a convenient 10-minute walk via Jingxiao Street, and St. Iver Church and the Orphanage are right next door. Subway Line 2 is just a 5-minute walk away. Central Street and Saint Sophia Cathedral are a pleasant 20-minute-plus stroll, perfect for an after-dinner walk. Inside, the rain shower offered excellent water pressure, the pillows were incredibly comfortable, and the TV even had a sleep timer. For an even more perfect stay, I'd suggest a hairdryer that doesn't require constant button-holding and the removal of the deposit requirement.

The room was clean and tidy, and there was an elevator. The location is close to Central Street and not far from Saint Sophia Cathedral, and it's relatively quiet. The breakfast was good and met basic needs, and the price was reasonable. The heating worked well, but the shower water pressure was just okay. They even gave a small gift upon check-out, which was a nice touch. Thank you!

The service was excellent, very polite, and they answered all our questions. The room was around 20-30 square meters, which I found spacious enough for just the two of us. After a day out, it was great to come back and relax with a bath. The room was clean, equipped with a humidifier, a coffee machine, and complimentary drinks. That humidifier was a lifesaver at night; otherwise, it would have been too dry. What stood out most was the comfortable room temperature. At our previous hotel, the room was easily 30°C, making it unbearably hot even with the windows open, while it was -20°C outside. Such a drastic temperature difference makes it very easy to catch a cold. When booking a hotel, always ask if they have a humidifier, what the indoor temperature is, and if it's adjustable. I can't stress this enough – it's crucial. If I had to pick one thing I disliked, it would be the scent of the shower gel – I really couldn't stand it, it was quite unpleasant. I'd suggest switching to something with a nicer fragrance. I forgot if our king-size room had a bathtub or not, but everything else was the same. We had some time before our flight, so we booked a hourly room to get some sleep. Facilities: All available Hygiene: Clean Environment: Good Service: Excellent

The hotel is just a five minute walk from the nearest metro station. The street the hotel is on is a little dilapidated (at least in late April) but has its own charm. My room was comfortable and a good size for a solo traveler. The buffet breakfast was big and the selections changed a but every day. I was there during the Labour holiday do there were many guests, and the staff replenished the different dishes often. I didn't use the laundry room but I took a look... Currently only one washing machine is in service. The finally, all the staff were friendly and helpful.

Room, location and service were fantastic. The room was very large , has what we need, they had complimentary everything .. bed was comfortable, hotel has good meals available & cocktails/bar (lack of those everywhere). Close to the Chocolate Castle, you can catch a cable car to or from Sun island or subway as well, its close ( line 2) hotel is near line 3. The ice and snow world was a highlight and best transport is subway ( line 2) . We walked 8mins to the line 2 subway and then switched for line 3 on way back. Central street is also close by for the delicious massive icecreams . Harbin was amazing !

This was my first visit to this hotel. The parking lot is very spacious. The moment I stepped inside, the atmosphere was lovely. The lobby boasts a comfortable reading area with plush sofas, and they offered complimentary chrysanthemum and red date tea. The service quality was excellent. I also appreciated the pleasant aroma diffusing throughout the hotel. After checking in, my room was very nice, and they even have a gym and a laundry room available. My overall experience here was fantastic, far exceeding my expectations. What's more, it offers the best value for money in the area. I am extremely satisfied.

Five-star review! The hygiene was excellent, and the environment was great. It's super convenient for getting around, very close to the subway. Our check-in experience was fantastic. My friend and I came for a trip and definitely didn't pick the wrong hotel. The bed was really soft, and the room was spacious and bright. There's even an amusement park within the resort, so if you get tired of staying in the hotel, you can go wander around – it's all very interesting. The entire park has a European castle architectural style, which is beautiful and perfect for photos. Plus, all the staff were wonderful, with very friendly service. There's also a shuttle bus within the park, making it easy to get around. The breakfast was incredibly rich and awesome! We even happened to catch a newly opened venue within the park and went to check it out – it was so dreamy and huge, you could even do cosplay! It was amazing. No matter where you went, the staff were always super nice. 👍

What to Do If You Have Problems on the Harbin Metro

Lost Items in the Harbin Metro

If you lose something while travelling, go directly to the nearest station service counter. Clearly describe the item, the station or train where you last saw it, and the approximate time it was lost. Staff will help you file a report and contact you if your belongings are found.
Tip: Always double-check your seat and the floor before leaving the train.

If You Miss the Last Train

Don’t worry if you miss the final service of the night. Harbin has night buses and taxis that operate late, so you can still reach your hotel or next destination. Metro lines typically stop running around 10:30 PM, but some routes may have slightly later “short-turn” trains. Check the Harbin Metro app or station notices for any extended services.

Emergency Contacts

For immediate help, visit a station service counter or call:

  • 110 – Police
  • 120 – Medical emergencies
  • +86 451 5187 7979 – Harbin Metro customer hotline

Save these numbers in your phone or keep them written down before your trip.

If Your Phone Dies or You Lose Internet

No battery or connection? Many larger stations provide charging points or power-bank rentals. Local SIM cards and eSIM plans are widely available at Harbin Taiping International Airport and major shopping areas for reliable data. If you need assistance, simply ask metro staff—they are accustomed to helping travellers.

✅Get a local SIM card or reliable eSIM data plan - you'll need internet for checking metro routes, schedules, and using mobile payments while getting around.
