"I think it’s more of a ski lodge type of place. We arrived in a summer heatwave and being told the place does not have a/c and being asked to crank open a window really does not cut it. They have this invention called a FAN. Maybe invest in a few. Apart from that wonderful stay and very helpful staff."

""Stayed at Hotel Cristallo in Bormio and it was spot on. The location is perfect – right in the heart of town, so everything is just a short walk away: restaurants, shops, and the ski lifts. Our room had an amazing view straight onto the mountains, which made waking up every morning feel special.The food is a real highlight. Breakfast was generous with fresh pastries, local cheeses and great coffee, and dinner in the restaurant was outstanding – proper Italian dishes, well cooked and full of flavour. The staff were friendly and helpful without being over the top. Great value and we’d definitely go back!""

The dining room also enjoys a beautiful view of the tracks, the only little sin was the pads a little too high and the light that was filtering out of the window."
