The bedsheets are an afterthought: they don't get to cover the mattress, they're rough and also not always present (pillow covers what are these??). Moreover the thick fake fur blankets tend to be full of the sand dust The food could do with some investment. Appreciate we're in the middle of the desert but nothing stops them from bringing good meat here rather than boney and fat meat.. "The bungalows were very basic. The overall setting lends itself well to cultural immersion and encourages a sense of escape. You couldn't be in a better place to experience the desert. My only problem was the difficulty of getting from the bus station to the hotel at night. They failed to mention that if I wanted to walk (30 minutes), a large part of the way is in complete darkness because there is no street lighting, and it's through fields and palm trees. It can be frightening for someone unfamiliar with desert environments."

"We were a family of 4: a couple and 1 teenager and 9 year old child. Very good hotel, decoration which is related to the specialties of the region (camel/sahara/gazelles..etc). By consulting the comments, I was very afraid to go to this hotel since it is poorly classified compared to another hotel whose name I do not site in Tozeur which had very good comments and classified excellent, but the grades did not reflect reality. I visited them both, the one in Tozeur (night of 12/17/2023) was very average and the quality of the food was very average if not below average and all the rooms were outside . On the other hand, the surprise at the Sahara Douz hotel (night of 12/18/2023), very beautiful rooms (rooms inside), very beautiful uncovered swimming pool, a very beautiful view at night of the swimming pool, staff very nice and polite, the food was excellent (very varied: grilled mergaz, grilled liver, grilled white meat, grilled red mullet, grilled tuna, salads, couscous, soups, cakes...etc), very good and varied food and excellent, the same for breakfast (very delicious chocolate crepe). for the rooms, they are excellent, very spacious and clean. I wanted to give a comment since I noticed that the rating of this hotel did not reflect reality. So, I highly recommend visiting this hotel and you will surely be satisfied."
