"This was the worst hotel experience of the entire trip. It was outrageous that when they opened my room, they hadn't checked out yet. I waited outside for ages, but no one came. I had to go to the front desk myself to find out that they hadn't given us the welcome drink that everyone else had. Finally, they gave me a room facing the elevator, and the body lotion inside was empty. The sign said there was a minibar, but it was just an empty fridge. It was truly absurd! 🙃"

"It is a beautiful hotel with a beautiful view. However, walls are thin and you can heard a lot of noise. It is not easy to get there because it is located almost in the top of the mountain. Another good thing is that the restaurant closes at 10pm and food is good and cheap. We didn’t find the swimming pool since we stayed just one night. It was a nice stay by the way and breakfast was good. PD: We booked double room that it is supposed to have a king/queen bed but it was two individual beds put together."

"Short stay, but made to feel special by our marvellous butler Manjula. We arrived at 5.30pm. Quick easy check in. M fired up the sauna and we had time for a swim and poolside cocktails before sunset. Dinner outstanding on the veranda. Minestrone and aubergine starters, then the local chicken (spicy) and prawn curries with all the trimmings. Room big and very comfortable (nb no bath). Lovely home made chocolates! M served breakfast on the veranda at 5.30am as the sun was rising, and we left for the airport at six. Beautiful place, phenomenal views."

"We are still staying at this hotel and already having a disappointing experience. We came here for one night with our newborn baby expecting a comfortable stay, but unfortunately it has been far from that. The bedsheets and pillow covers were dusty and not properly cleaned. After we complained, they replaced them. Later, while trying to relax with a coffee, we noticed the mugs were also very dirty and looked like they had not been cleaned properly for a long time. Again, we had to request replacements. To make things worse, the ceiling lights in the room were not working. A staff member came, checked, and simply said it might be a technical issue and left without fixing it. Overall, don’t fully trust the photos shown on websites. In reality, this is just an average hotel and definitely not a place where you feel your money was worth the stay."

"Stay for three nights. The hotel is heritage not recommended for a person who is afraid things stay alone. The location is perfect at the front gate of the temple of tooth relics. However, one male GSA do not respond well as I told him that the telephine is broken, the fridge inside is very hot and the light in the toilet is broken so many times. Until I checked out the telephine is still broken, the fridge inside is still very hot. But the light is fixed by an electrician who was recommended by male maid not GSA."

"The hotel was clean, comfortable, and had a beautiful view. The staff were amazing, friendly, and always helpful, which made the stay even more pleasant. A small tip for future guests — if you want the scenic view of the beautiful Kandy Lake, book the Superior Room, as the Deluxe Room faces the road. Also, take note that after 11:30 PM there is no room service, and food delivery platforms may not be available either due to closures or limited riders/drivers at night. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and a great experience."
