Had some issue with our hotel room key. The staff were very proactive trying to resolve the issue, but it was only till the 2nd day of our stay that was resolved.
There was no compensation for the incovenience caused as we only had 1 phisical key for 4 ppl.
Having said that, the rest of the service was very nice, would be happy to go back again.

Ppathfinder1We had a great stay at Kindness Day Hotel! It’s small but sleek and modern, with a cozy vibe. The staff were super friendly and helpful, especially for us English speakers, which made everything so easy.
The lounge with unlimited coffee and cookies was perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. You get a free drink ticket each night for beer or juice, which is a nice perk. Just be sure to use them the same day as they expire. We didn’t get a chance to use ours!
The breakfast buffet was decent, not amazing, but still a nice option to have. With a bus stop and bike station right outside and plenty of restaurants and attractions nearby, it’s a super convenient and welcoming place to stay. Highly recommend!

PPengguna TetamuImportant: Please bring ear plugs! the sound from street traffic is kind of echoey and loud. I went to buy some after my first night.
Location is hard to beat. I got to try quite a few good eateries just by staying here. And there are street markets of different types within short walking distance.
I was staying in a room on 2nd level and using the shared bathroom, but it looked like i was the the only one using it.
Everything is clean and spotless, as if the place is very new. The hot/cold water dispenser at ground level is very useful. More hooks/hangers in the room for hanging clothes would be nice. The light feature above the bed and the full-length glass windows that allow natural light are very aesthetically pleasing.
What was perhaps unusual and a bit unnerving - a first for me - was that i didn't see ANY person around the whole of my 4-day stay. I arrived late and had to do a self check-in on the first day so that was to be expected, but on subsequent days no staff were at reception, nor did i see any guests (though i could faintly hear them in their rooms on certain days). Is this a low season thing? Having said that, i found the self-check in and check-out is quite convenient and if you have connected with them over Whatsapp, they send clear instructions beforehand. They will also answer any questions over Whataspp, so i guess it's like a virtual receptionist?

But the toilet sewage had some problems and they had no one to fix over the weekend, had to wait for weekdays.
We eventually checked out before they could fix the toilet sewage system.

PPengguna Tetamuthe penthouse is just nice to fit 7 pax of us, including the extra mattress for a kid.
We love the penthouse which we have our own hot spring bathtub and steam room. The facilities are good, they have public and private facilities pools.
The hotel opens the pools to outsiders also, so it might be quite busy and crowded for the public pools facility.
Please prepare some snacks or instant food before you go to stay as there is no convenient shops or mini market nearby.
you have to walk about 20mins to go to the nearby town. The reception sells instant noodle cups but always out of stock. But there is restaurant in the hotel.
The hotel is not new but still good and manageable, they are still practiced the old system which is using hand written record for guests booking.
There is no bell boy to help you on the luggage, we have to carry one by one to our hotel room, which car is not reachable to your door steps. And the road to your room is slopes.
Hotel staff services are just okay, not very hospitality impressions for us as foreigners.
We love the public pools, there are over 10+ different types of hot spring pools in the hotel.

TtweenyfishThe room was spacious with places to put our luggages. The bed was oddly off centered but that created space for the luggage :) There were international electrical sockets so I didnt have to use my adaptor.
The toilet has an odd configuration. Instead of a shower curtain, u get a ”toilet seat curtain” that u are supposed to pull to keep it dry when showering (water still gets splashed on it if it is not pulled well). The most inconvenient part of the room was the lack of a dry area to wear clothes after showering. Water pressure and temperature are great.
Location wise, the hotel is very near the western market, shen nong street. We were also able to walk back from the Tainan TRA station when the buses had ended at night. There is a free shuttle bus to the THSR Tainan station which stops about 3mins walk from the hotel. We only discovered this on check out, so good to enquire with the hotel before checking in.
The staff were generally friendly, when asked, they gave some suggestions about where to eat nearby. They look slightly unsure, possibly because it was ***** new year period. They were also helpful in booking taxi, massage and sending up additional clothes hangers. I did converse in mandarin though.
We can get bedroom slippers and bottled water for free at the lobby, so that was very nice.

NNg mamaThe hotel is old and it shows. There are many pools in the onsen area and guests are required to wear swimsuits and swimming caps. The rooms look like they have to renovated but all public area and pools are aged and cleanliness can be improved. The selection at breakfast is basic but it is fair for what we were charged. The receptionists at the front desk are very nice and helpful.

As for hardware, the room was basic but clean. The room was bigger in size than what we expected. Toiletry supplies are limited.

PPengguna TetamuThere is an evaluation map on the door. Traveler must check it because the room maybe without window and in the center of the hotel building. But there are three or four exit in the building so don’t worry too much about it. Otherwise I think the quality is good enough with the price you spent here.
