Hotel berhampiran Terminal Laut, Hong Kong

Had my 12th years wedding anniversary in HK. The hotel's room arrangement was superp and the cake was really a surprise!! Thank you Marco Polo team!! 🥰 👍🏻👍🏻

Hotel ini terletak di 33 Canton Road, sangat dekat dengan stesen MTR, menjadikan pengangkutan mudah. Ia juga berdekatan dengan tepi laut, hanya kira-kira sepuluh minit berjalan kaki. Hotel ini terletak di kawasan yang sibuk, berhampiran dengan Daerah Kebudayaan West Kowloon, dengan pusat seni opera Cina, dewan konsert, dan pelbagai pusat membeli-belah di sekitarnya. Ia sesuai untuk membeli-belah dan bersiar-siar. Terutamanya, ia berada betul-betul di sebelah terminal feri, menjadikannya sangat mudah untuk perjalanan antara Zhuhai dan Hong Kong. Saya tinggal di tingkat atas dan hanya meninggalkan hotel setengah jam sebelum waktu berlepas feri saya. Bilik-bilik hotel berbentuk segi tiga tidak sekata, yang mungkin tidak disukai oleh sesetengah orang, tetapi saya boleh menyesuaikannya dan malah menyukainya. Oleh kerana hotel ini agak lama, kemudahannya sedikit usang, tetapi kebersihannya sangat baik. Peralatan tempat tidur di bilik saya tidak mempunyai sebarang kecacatan, dan semua yang diperlukan ada – almari, peti sejuk, rak bagasi. Meja sangat panjang, menjadikannya mudah untuk menggunakan komputer. Terdapat soket dan penyesuai universal di atas meja. Meja itu kaca, yang akan terasa sangat sejuk pada musim panas yang panas, tetapi pada masa ini, ia agak sejuk. Penebat bunyi agak teruk, yang merupakan masalah biasa di hotel-hotel China. Nasib baik, ia tidak terlalu bising. Penghawa dingin agak bising, jadi saya mematikannya. Malam pertama, saya tidak mematikan lampu tandas, hanya penghawa dingin. Akibatnya, ia sangat pelik, penghawa dingin mula hidup secara automatik mengikut masa yang ditetapkan, agak menakutkan. Keesokan harinya, saya mematikan semuanya, dan penghawa dingin tidak hidup, tetapi ada bunyi motosikal dari luar sepanjang malam. Kemudian, saya mendengar bunyi yang sama di terminal feri, jadi saya rasa mungkin itu bunyi dari beberapa jentera di terminal. Perkhidmatan hotel bagus. Terdapat minuman, kopi, dan gula-gula percuma di dalam peti sejuk mini. Terdapat juga peti besi untuk kegunaan tetamu. Selepas menempah bilik, kaunter penerimaan tetamu secara proaktif memberi saya kata laluan, mungkin untuk komputer dan peti besi. Saya tidak menggunakannya kerana saya tidak membawa komputer dan tidak banyak wang. Kertas tandas di bilik mandi cukup tebal. Mandi dan kepala pancuran di Hong Kong disambungkan bersama, yang agak berbahaya. Orang tua mungkin mudah tersandung. Tab mandi di hotel ini agak rendah dan kecil, mengurangkan risiko. Terdapat juga banyak cermin di mana-mana, yang agak menarik.

Praise for the location which is right at one of the exit ofthe Kowloon Station MTR, and this was the main reason why we chose the hotel. Typical normal HK hotel, no water bottle or toiletries. However, we had a really unpleasant experience after booking 3 rooms (family trip) for 6-7N and paying around 30K - the staff suddenly stopped the key access to one of our rooms in the middle of our stay after we just came back from a quick lunch. When we asked about it, they kept blaming each other, and one of the staff asked them to prove with their ID - how could we have the passport when the room was locked and the bag was inside? We showed the reservation confirmation with our phone, the lady who was in charge of floor management (I guess?) kept refusing to open the door even with the witness of herself. Very rude language response too because she was calling one of us as ”lover” while we were all families, very unprofessional - definitely need further training. The manager came and initially wanted to blame Trip.com for failing to give them the correct detail, not making sense at all. It turned out it was the mistake of the check-in counter staff as they clicked on the wrong dates perhaps? (did they not think how much we paid compared to the no. of nights we stay for, despite we reconfirmed like ”for 7 nights ya?”). We asked for official written apology to my parents in law who came all the way from Europe for travelling which they initially were reluctant to do. We gave 24h, the manager kept her promise of giving the apology letter at least. Still though, NEVER AGAIN!!!

The hotel itself is located in a relatively quiet corner of the TST hot spot near the ISquare/Harbour City, it is relatively hard to miss the impressive front door of the black marble looking exteriors. Check-in is Very smooth, cash deposit are required but easily done. For the first time staying of this hotel i’ve requested a higher level room and a quiet corner, which happens to be 11th (top level except roof common area). Room is as advertised ,very spacious and clean looking (typical wear and tears of material aging is expected but doesn’t looks gross). for visitors that enjoys their own balcony view it is better to ask ahead if the room assigned has it, for me although it was a room that didn’t which is fine, but the eye catch is the toilet - bath tub and the shower is separated which allows flexibility for both type of bath time enjoyers too, those whom need longer stays and/or like taking long bath in a tub will enjoy the big tubs, but the overhead ceiling shower is just as great for morning refreshers. bed had its own smaller TV screen with wall mounted extend arms for lazy watching which is great if you’re relaxing while enjoying the Victoria harbour view from the window, but also a living room bigger tv , although the downside is sometimes the remote will controls both units at the same time, so nighttime tv bingeing becareful of volume bursts from a different tv. room air conditioning is room self-controlled - the panel is right next to the main TV so for travelers that is sensitive to temperature differences is a plus, as you don’t have to worry centralized air con streaming cold airs in cooler days or during sleep, you had the control at your own hand. only things that may be worth considering is that the room is wood tiled - occasional cracks from old tiles misaligned can occur when you step on it so if your roommates are light sleepers and prone to awakening from noises, that could be a problem. also while unfortunate as it is during festive times and beyond hotel controls, noise can be excessive if there neighboring room(s) are booked by party goers or occupants had returned drunk. as the hall noise is very auditable. security is standard where after 6pm it requires your room keycards to access lifts and the hotel doors as well. A small but noteworthy point is the gym at 6th floor and their rooftops- technically on the 12th floor, the roof is a fairly open area with a limited but still great view of the Victoria harbour amidst the neibouring buildings that is 2-3 rows away from the harbour side. while not certain is it remained open overnight as long as accessing with keycards, it is great for the city view. however not recommended for people with Fear of heights- as glass barriers are only to waist levels that can be easily lean over. also the rooftops lift indicator is not as visible/auditable while waiting for it arrivals, so if the single lift that can reach the rooftop is out of services it may become unavailable , or if unlucky you might be locked out. overall it is a surprisingly fair price but great accommodation choices, while noise concerns can be servere if you happen to be unlucky when other floor occupants go berserk, but surrounding areas noise is not intense even it is next to Kowloon Park Drive intersection ramp just 1 block away.

Harbour city, tsim Sha tsul.. Do I need to say anything more.. Got to the ferry and take it over to central and find yourself with something of a calling to call Hong Kong home. This starts at the langham... Are you kidding! The staff are incredible, the brand and the location are all apart of the call to arms! Check in Travellers, the langham in Hong Kong is calling!

Perkhidmatannya baik. Kerani meja depan sangat baik. Dia bertanya kepada kami jika kami mahu bilik katil double. Mungkin kerana sistem, kami masuk ke bilik dengan katil berkembar. Apabila kami turun, kami dipindahkan ke suite Pujian diberikan bukan kerana naik taraf suite! Kerana Miss Yao yang mendaftar masuk kami di meja depan berani mengambil tanggungjawab dan memberikan perkhidmatan yang sangat baik, saya memberi pujian ini. Saya pasti akan datang dan tinggal di sini lain kali! Satu-satunya kelemahan ialah tiada soket pengecasan baharu Apple, hanya USB.

Absolutely brilliant stay here! It was to celebrate my 70th birthday in Hong Kong which I wanted to remember. The hotel location is fantastic right near to the Star Ferry, Space Museum, and the wonderful waterfront on the Kowloon side. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Despite my years 😥 (now 70) I very much appreciated the little panda gift they left on my bed. And before I forget to mention the breakfast was amazing. The selection of both western and eastern offerings was tremendous. My wife and I both left very satisfied. Highly recommend this hotel and will definitely make this my goto hotel when I return as I often do.

Room was spacious, we are 2 adults and 2 kids. Our room was with 1 king and a double sofa bed. Location is very good and worth it for a.quick HK stopover. Service was prompt as expected and housekeeping lady was nice.

It was Nicole who was at the front desk and she was very accommodating and welcoming. She helped us in all our inquiries. Gateway has always been our home in Hong Kong.
