Sanpeiso was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. The ryokan beautifully preserves the atmosphere of traditional Japan while offering excellent comfort and hospitality. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome and took great care of every detail throughout our stay. The room was spacious, spotless, and overlooked a peaceful garden, creating a very relaxing atmosphere. The onsen was exceptional — the hot spring water felt wonderful after a day of sightseeing, and the entire bathing area was quiet and beautifully maintained. Both dinner and breakfast were served in traditional Japanese style and were outstanding. Every dish was carefully prepared, beautifully presented, and showcased seasonal ingredients. It felt like a true cultural experience rather than simply a meal. What impressed us most was the authentic character of the ryokan. Unlike many modernized properties, Sanpeiso retains the charm and elegance of a classic Japanese inn. The combination of attentive service, excellent cuisine, serene surroundings, and high-quality hot springs made our stay unforgettable. If you are looking for an authentic ryokan experience in Atami, I highly recommend Sanpeiso. We would gladly return on our next visit to Japan.

Hence down one of our favourite hotel. The word I will use for this hotel is “generous” and warm. The hotel pay for our arrival taxi. Then they took care of luggage. The room we have was spacious, with a stunning view of the beach, and with a bathtub that has constantly filled with warm bath. The room was sooo comfortable. As we were three person, they set up three proper beds for us without extra cost (also without we asking for it). All the drinks in the minibar were free including alcoholic drinks and they were refilled everyday. Ice bucket was delivered using a robot which is a fun thing too. The breakfast spread was good and all tasty. At least 4 types of honey were provided for the pancake station. My son really enjoy the orange crush station. The view from the breakfast restaurant was beautiful too. Parking is free and easy. This hotel makes us felt like coming to a home. We will definitely return in future. Recommended!

The hotel is newly opened, and all facilities are very new and clean. The room amenities are also very thoughtfully designed. The hotel is located right in front of the beach, making it very convenient for us to take a beach walk after dinner. For the meals, we enjoyed the buffet dinner and the Japanese cuisine breakfast, with a wide variety of delicious dishes. Our seats overlooking the beach that added to our vacation mood. After leaving the hotel, I realized I had left my transit card behind. I contacted the hotel reservation via email, and they quickly confirmed its return and processed it. The hotel's prompt response deserves praise, I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Atami.

Excellent hotel. Beautiful, clean, traditional. The onsen was beautiful with a view of their garden. The water was heated perfectly with immaculately clean water. All amenities were offered when you stepped out into the changing room, ear buds, lotion, hair perfume, shampoo and conditioner. As you exit to your room there are two massage chairs to enjoy. The room we stayed in was perfect, It had a view of the bay, a big balcony, and three separate rooms. I was traveling with my son and this afforded me a private room to change my clothes and be separated while we slept. Freshly pressed kimonos were provided for the Onsen or/and to attend breakfast in. Now I'll talk about the highlight.! The breakfast buffet and dinner were included in the very reasonable price. The breakfast was extensive with fish, eggs,yogurt, homemade delicious jams, salads, fresh fruit, natto, sausages, rolls, bread, pastries, a coffee machine with choice of lattes, cappuccino, etc, a juice machine, fresh milk from famous Tanna dairy, and more! It was amazing! Dinner was also delicious, changing every night with selections such as broiled fish set, fried chicken set, steak set, all were seasoned well and perfectly cooked. All came with soup, rice, main entree and dessert. The staff were welcoming, kind and caring, friendly. The manager even sent me a special note about a piece of art I was curious about. Highly, highly recommend this Ryokan. I never wanted to leave. It's just outside of Atami, in the hills, beautiful location. Go, relax, nurture yourself, I did 😊🥰

Walaupun sesetengah orang mungkin berasa sukar untuk melakukan daftar masuk dalam talian tanpa bantuan meja depan hotel yang 'betul', kami tidak menghadapi sebarang masalah. Kami boleh menyerahkan butiran peribadi kami melalui telefon bimbit kami di mana-mana sahaja pada bila-bila masa sebelum tiba. Kemudian apabila tiba, menggunakan PIN yang dihantar ke e-mel kami, kami boleh memasuki pintu masuk dengan lancar. Di lobi, terdapat tablet, untuk setiap tetamu mengambil gambar mereka untuk pengesahan maklumat yang telah kami serahkan terlebih dahulu. Kemudian kami disambungkan ke pusat panggilan yang bertanya kepada kami beberapa soalan mudah kemudian ia selesai. Kami suka bahawa terdapat aliran percuma minuman panas & sejuk, alkohol dan bukan alkohol, coklat/gula-gula/kacang jepun percuma tersedia. Kami adalah kumpulan 7 orang, jadi kami menggunakan ruang bersama untuk makan kami. Bilik-bilik adalah besar untuk standard Jepun dengan sinki kecil, meja makan dilampirkan. Setiap tempahan disertakan dengan tempat letak kereta. Tempat letak kereta hanya 2-3 minit pemanduan dan kami hanya meletak kereta mengikut nombor bilik kami. Saya tidak boleh lebih gembira dengan penginapan saya di sini dan pasti akan mengesyorkan rakan-rakan untuk tinggal di sini.

オープンしたばかりとは知らず泊まりました ベテランの方が多い印象でした 使ったタオルも交換してくださり 何度か温泉に入りましたが、乾いたタオルを使用できたのは有難かったです。 足湯は混んでて利用出来ませんでしたが、良さそうでした 中庭のソファでドリンクも頂けてゆっくり出来ました 大浴場も大きな温度計のおかげでどのくらいの温度かわかり入ることも出来 脱衣場には飲み物も準備されていたので良かったです。 寝間着もパジャマタイプで ズボンもゴムだったので、はだける心配もなくゆっくり出来ました 部屋にはシンクもあり水筒なども洗ったりと重宝しました 子供達はいろんなテレビが見れたのが良かったようです 一つ一つセキュリティもしっかりされていて良かったです 心残りは今回は悪天候もあり 展望台？屋上？に行けなかったので、次回は行ってみたいです

It was nice stay! The onsen was tiny but the quality of water was so nice. The only thing you should be careful about, that the rooms without a private bath might be without a shower. Location, view and other things are cool!

Location was near train station & walking distance to the shopping districts n F&B places. Room was spacious n comes with an ocean view. Excellent breakfast variety n taste. Service staff was helpful, attentive n friendly. The hotel provides a shuttle to the train station upon checkout in the morning. Hotel has a playroom for toddlers n gaming machines for adults.

I stayed at this guesthouse in Atami last December and had a pleasant experience overall. The location is quite convenient, as it’s close to Atami Station. There is a short uphill walk to reach the guesthouse, but it’s still manageable. Overall, I would rate the guesthouse 8/10. The main thing to note is that, as it’s a guesthouse, the bathroom and toilet are shared. There is also an onsen available on-site, though it requires an additional fee (which is not expensive). The onsen operates on a time schedule since it’s shared between male and female guests. The host was friendly and welcoming. I didn’t really get the chance to use facilities like the dining area or the rooftop, but the dining area has a balcony with a nice sea view, which looked great. Another big plus is that the guesthouse is within walking distance of Atami Heiwa-dōri Shopping Street, making it very convenient for food and shopping.

The hotel is located right by the ocean so you can get a beautiful view first thing in the morning. The room is clean and spacious and has a balcony facing the ocean. Facilities might be a bit old but nonetheless gives you a vintage Japanese feel. The only thing to note is that it is a bit of a trek from the station especially if you arrive at night as it is quiet and a bit dark.
