ZZHAO YIHThe hotel is so lovely. There is a Lawson just literally 1 min walk away and the surroundings have eateries to fill your tummies if you don't feel like venturing out.
The location allows you to walk towards the Otaru Canal in less than 10 min. Very good location I would say.
The room we got is of a decent size for two, is clean and we even have a nice City/ Seaview. Parking lot is just beside the hotel hence great for those who drives to Otaru.

PPengguna TetamuKakitangan di kaunter penerimaan tetamu fasih berbahasa Inggeris, itu bagus. Sth dramatik berlaku selepas saya mendaftar masuk. Entah bagaimana beg pakaian saya tidak boleh dibuka, walaupun saya tahu nombor kuncinya. Jadi saya terpaksa menelefon penerimaan untuk mendapatkan bantuan, nasib baik mereka mempunyai alat untuk membuka beg pakaian, tetapi saya diberitahu untuk menunggu kerana orang lain menggunakannya dan saya sepatutnya dipanggil selepas penerimaan alat itu. Menunggu sepanjang malam, tanpa panggilan telefon, dan terpaksa keluar keesokan paginya dengan beg pakaian saya yang rosak. Jadi jika anda mendapati beg pakaian anda tidak boleh dibuka, pergi cari penerimaan dengan segera atau anda mungkin tidak berpeluang untuk menggunakan alat itu, haha

CChubby Girl On TourI had a great stay at this hotel. The room was spacious and included two bottles of water, coffee, and tea. While the view overlooked a blank space behind the building, the quality of the bed and pillows was excellent. I found the bathroom to be slightly larger than expected.
The reception area was spacious, and the staff were friendly and spoke English, which made communication easy. There were two breakfast options available: Western and Japanese. I personally chose the Japanese breakfast, priced at 3,000 Yen. The quality and portion were good.
The hotel is conveniently located within a 10-minute walk from Otaru JR Station, as well as Sakaimachi Hondori Street and Otaru Canal. Additionally, there is a convenience store directly across the street, along with several night restaurants. I did find the price a bit high, possibly due to the Otaru Snow Light Path Festival taking place during my stay. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for its comfort and location.

It's my 2nd time in Otaru, and I stayed at Grids premium before - while the room size is similar, the amenities here are definitely better (very new, smart toilet, the bed is comfortable too!) there's a family mart right opposite & you can also walk to the shopping street + music box museum (it's a straight line so no GPS needed literally). Good location! Really love how chill this little town is & I will definitely come back to OMO5 the next time I am back

SScudLimCozy Inn is superb, can easily be reached by bus or by car. Plenty of parking spaces. Room is big and clean. Close to Aeon and Daiso. Walkable to the canal if you are not driving. Check in uses machine and strictly only after 3pm, so do not come early. Overall, I highly recommend!

GGG WATTYou will feel comfy and relaxed, like sitting and slaying at your home. We're 4 pax and stayed 1 night, but feel hommy and humble in everything here. Our room can fit 4-6 pax. Pls enjoy here if you love English country style!!

We appreciated the basic utensils and cutlery provided, making it easy to prepare simple meals. The thoughtful inclusion of toothbrushes and toothpaste was a nice touch, and the microwave was handy for quick reheats.
Comfort is well-addressed with one air-conditioner and a heater, ensuring a pleasant temperature regardless of the weather. The washing machine was a huge convenience, and we had options for drying clothes either on the hanger stand inside the room or on the balcony.
The location is a major highlight, being within easy walking distance to both Otaru Canal and Sakaimachi Street. We also found it convenient to have a Lawson and various eateries nearby, though it's a good idea to check their opening hours as they can vary.
Important Considerations for Your Stay
While the location is excellent, it's important to note that the road leading to the building is steep. This could be particularly challenging if you're driving, and we would not advise driving during winter due to the road conditions.
For those with a car, there are two parking areas available. The closer one has three slots, while a slightly further option offers approximately 12 slots. Keep this in mind, especially if you prioritize a closer parking spot.

1. Great Location decent size room with double sized beds with big space to move around compare to most other Japanese hotel
2. love the indoor parking at basement garage, especially during winter no snow cleaning required every morning.
Negative:
1. lift is out of service, very inconvenient for people with big luggage, had to carry all the way up to the 3rd Floor.
2. Fake carpets on stairs, almost tripped over couple of times.
3. Owner never responds when assistance needed, upon on check-in, the pin code been given is useless because the room door are always unlocked, actual key is placed on the table in the room. Tried to contact the owner via WeChat WhatsApp line phone calls none of above responded, just seemed like the hotel is unmanned the whole time.
4. Had a little incident one morning where one of the guest parked his car right front of the parking garage door, which blocked my way out, again had to contact the owner, never responded, got no choice but to contact police for help.
