Hotel berhampiran Kuil Choanji, Hakone

The hotel was located a bit further out from the main attractions. However, with that its also at a quieter area and nice break away from the touristy area. Because of the location, it is also convenient to get to the Gotemba outlet mall. There’s a mountain view outside the balcony. A convenience store and bus stop just right outside the hotel. We felt the breakfast served was underwhelming, and the same food was served on the 2 days we were there. The hotel was spacious and really clean, interior design was beautiful. The hotspring was really nice as well. The staff recommended the Izakaya restaurant called Monta, just few minutes walk from the hotel. The food was really good and open till 12am!

Great experience. The staff were lovely and the area is beautiful. Rooms are very homely and comfy. We went into the onsen both nights and it was great. We also got dinner both nights at the hotel and the food was good we were impressed. Overall it felt like a very personal stay and couldn't be happier. For some of the logistics if you are wanting to do the hakone main loop. We recommend coming in from Shinjuku on the romance car, take the montain train up to Gora and then the cable car to Sounzan. We then took a roughly 10min bus from Sounzan to Yuyu. The next morning we then took the same bus back to Sounzan and caught the first 9am ropeway fo start off the loop. We managed to avoid most of the crowds and it was very convenient. Once again couldn't recommend Yuyu enough thank you for the great stay!!

This hotel is truly worth the stay. The room is very spacious and the price is very reasonable. What impressed us the most is that all the furniture and facilities are high quality and still very new, which made our stay extremely comfortable. We traveled with our 1-year-old baby, and the hotel was very thoughtful to prepare some baby amenities for us. That really touched us and made the stay even more pleasant. This is definitely one of the most comfortable and worthwhile hotels our family has stayed in during our trip to Japan. Every room also comes with a private onsen, which made the experience even more relaxing. There is a convenience store just 2 minutes away by car, and it only takes about 20 minutes to drive to Lake Ashi, so the location is very convenient. Overall we are extremely satisfied with our stay. We would definitely come back again next time and stay for even more days.

真的很像住在自己家裡的感覺，民宿的爺爺奶奶很親切，雖然溝通有點困難，房間有小客廳和臥室，空間蠻大的，早餐晚餐也都令我驚艷，地點離巴士站也很近，總之C P值很高

The Room is clean, the location is a bit difficult to get to it especially we arrived there late night. The heater is not function well even though we already asked for help, we feel cool at the mid night, but the service is good. It a quite and peaceful place, if the heater function well then I think is perfect

I regret spending so much money to stay here. The coffee barista and the driver were the most helpful people there. From the moment we checked in, it was unclear where the front desk was so it was hard to ask for help. My big disappointment came with the food. It felt like the price was a joke to tourists traveling all the way out to the hotel. It is really hard to get simple foods nearby so you rely on the hotel food which was outrageously expensive. Sure the hotel room is spacious and the surroundings are pretty but it is NOT WORTH THE PRICE. The onsen was peaceful and not crowded which i liked but it wasn’t worth the money.

We visited Hakone Kuori-tei (仙石原久の葉 / Sengokuhara Hisanoha) on 19 November 2025 and stayed for 2 nights while exploring Hakone. Located in the peaceful Sengokuhara area, the ryokan offers a quiet and relaxing escape surrounded by nature. With only 8 rooms, the ryokan feels private, cosy, and calm. We stayed on the 2nd floor in Room 205, which had good space to comfortably accommodate 2 adults with 24-inch luggage. Every morning, we enjoyed a beautiful shimmering view of the autumn leaves, glowing under the morning sunlight — a perfect start to the day. Do note that the 2nd floor has no lift, only staircases. However, the staff were very helpful and assisted with carrying our luggage, which we truly appreciated. Our room had a simple bathroom without a shower, but the ryokan’s onsen on Level -1 was clean, soothing, and perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. Breakfast and dinner were included, and dinner offered a choice of shabu-shabu or sukiyaki. We tried both and loved them — tender meat, fresh vegetables, and delicious, comforting flavours. One of the most special highlights is the free-flow drink station with: • ☕ Coffee • 🍺 Craft beer • 🍶 Sake • 🥃 Highball • 🍷 Umeshu（梅酒） • 🧃 Orange & apple juices • 🥤 Soft drinks Guests can bring drinks back to their room, making evenings extra cosy. Parking is designated for ryokan guests, and there are plenty of parking spaces, making arrival and departure smooth. The staff were warm, polite, and attentive — adding to the peaceful atmosphere of the entire stay.

The room is a traditional Japanese Style. The environment was very relaxing and surrounded by nature. The hot spring was amazing with bamboo forest surrounding which gives the most calming vibe.

まずサウナですが、説明文にはサウナの予約は3回とありますが、バレルサウナ夜に1時間朝に1時間テントサウナ（有料）1回の計3回というカウントでした。 今回は夕食付プランだった為、食事の時間は予約不可です。 夕食ですが、強制的に18時にレストラン集合です！ 時間通りに伺うとすでに全てのテーブルにはご飯とスープは盛られていました。 遅れて到着するとご飯はカピカピ・スープは冷めてしまいます。 せっかくの美味しい食事が台無しです！（時間厳守です！） せめてご飯とスープは各自で盛るスタイルにしたらいかがですか？ 私にはご飯が多かったので、残すのは心苦しかったのですが、1/3程残してしまいました・・・（農家さんごめんなさい） サウナはチェックアウトまで使用出来るのですが水着着用の為濡れたまま持ち帰る事になります。 脱水機があればと思いました。 あとコップが置いてないので歯磨きなど不便です。 持参するように明記するか、紙コップなど置いて頂けたら助かります。 バレルサウナはグランピングテントの隣にある為、テント内の会話が丸聞こえです。 聞きたくない会話も耳に入って来ます・・・。

The ********* lady who was at the counter tried to help us as best as could. I felt the service was decent and I enjoyed my time. Unfortunate that the wind stopped some of the attractions. I feel that the location might not be ideal and the tram stops working after 7 so need to keep that in mind. But you can see the entire valley at night.
