"Fantastic location next to Gora Station with easy access to Gotemba premium outlets via bus& Cablecar to Lake Ashi. Kaiseki breakfast and dinners were thoughtfully planned and different each meal. So many free snacks and food at different timings. Private outdoor onsen was wonderful as well. Note: you have to queue for any of the 3 huts. Only thing we didn’t like was having to shower outdoors and the dated toto bidet. Other than that, perfect 2 night stay at Hakone."

"Stunning Historical Garden: The absolute highlight is their massive traditional Japanese garden. It feels like walking through a living postcard, with beautiful ponds, lush trees, and streaming water. To our surprise, we were greeted by fireflies at night while strolling after dinner. The natural hot spring water here is top-tier. We get almost 24-hour access to the relaxing indoor and outdoor baths (rotenburo). Soaking under the stars after a long day of exploring was pure bliss. Prime Location: It is incredibly convenient—just a flat, easy 7-minute walk from Hakone-Yumoto Station. No need to haul heavy bags up steep hills. The service is warm, welcoming, and attentive. The rooms are beautifully kept, offering that authentic, peaceful ryokan vibe. Traditional Japanese Breakfast. Dinner is a multi-course, traditional Kaiseki feast served right in the restaurant, which beautifully overlooks the illuminated evening garden."

"The tatami room was really spacious! 😂 It's a hotel run by Chinese owners, so communication and shuttle services were incredibly convenient. They even helped us book a car in advance to take us to Lake Yamanaka for maple leaf viewing. I was really impressed with this service! On the day we checked out, they drove us to the bus station at Lake Yamanaka, getting us there just two minutes before the bus departed – quite the close call! We rented electric-assist bicycles from the hotel, and it only took 10 minutes to cycle to Hirano Beach. It was super convenient for catching the Mt. Fuji sunrise in the morning."

"The room we booked for triple bed is very huge and spacious. It is very well maintained and the staff is ready to welcome you right from their entrance. The check-in and check-out process are smooth n seamless. We booked the room with mount Fuji view and we were very luckily to get to see it on the day we checked out. The viewing room at level 12 offers a clearer view of Mount Fuji. The hotel is also very near to the bus stop where you can take the free shuttle bus to Gotemba premium outlet or highway bus to Tokyo. Overall it is a very pleasant stay and we will definitely choose it again if we ever come back to Gotemba."

The breakfast and dinner tasted very good, and the service of the staff was also very good ~ The hotel provides a shuttle bus to the nearby Gora Station, which is very convenient to visit the surrounding attractions ~ From Gora Station to the Sculpture Forest, you only need to take a mountain train to get there. I will stay here again next time I come to Hakone ~"

"How do I put it? This hotel is a bit of a mixed bag. Pros: The triple room with breakfast and dinner (dinner menus didn't repeat over two nights) was a third cheaper than other places. The hot springs were also good, with four outdoor pools. Cons: The location is inconvenient, right at the highest point in the Hakone-Yumoto area. The shuttle bus runs late in the morning and early in the evening, which doesn't really match most people's itineraries. Taking a taxi is probably the most sensible option, at 900 yen one way, plus a 400 yen surcharge for calling one. Of course, walking down the hill from the hotel to the station without luggage isn't too strenuous, taking about 20 minutes. As for facilities, there's no complimentary bottled water in the room, and no washing machine. And the service... after dinner, a waiter accidentally spilled a bowl of soup all over my pants while clearing the table. They handed me a dry towel, and that was pretty much it. No further apologies or assistance."

At first, we got lost while finding the entrance, but a helpful staff member made an effort to lead us all the way to the reception area. "The hotel is incredibly convenient, located directly within the Odawara Station complex, although it can be a little tricky to find for first-timers. From Odawara Station's East Exit (stay within the station building), take a short escalator down. You'll spot the Lusca mall on your right. Upon entering, Marugame Udon is on your left, and Seijo Ishii supermarket is directly opposite. Walk past Marugame, turn left to exit the mall, then turn right onto a glass-enclosed walkway outside. Continue straight, passing a parking lot on your right. Keep going until you see the hotel's directional sign (like the one in the last photo). Take the escalator up to the 4th floor, where you'll find the hotel lobby. We stayed in a Double B room, which was relatively spacious and well-suited for a family of three. This particular room type, which we only saw listed on Ctrip, was excellent. The bathroom featured a wet/dry separation but no bathtub. However, the public bath on the 10th floor was very comfortable (remember to bring your own towel!). There's also a foot bath on the 14th floor offering scenic views. If daily cleaning is desired, simply place the 'clean my room' sign outside your door, and fresh towels and yukata will be provided. Even if you forget the sign, they thoughtfully leave fresh yukata and towels at your door – a really nice touch. I appreciated this considerate service that respected our privacy. The bedding was comfortable, and individually packaged facial cleanser, makeup remover, and body lotion were replenished daily. Odawara is a wonderful city, and this hotel's location makes it extremely convenient for visiting Hakone, Atami, and Kamakura. I would love to visit again and would definitely choose this hotel for my next stay. The only minor downsides were the slight train noise (though I still slept very well during my three-night stay) and the slightly stiff toothbrush provided."

"The best place in Hakone. Everything is close by. There was an issue with the free shuttle upon check-in, but this is due to the fact that you can't contact the hotel directly, only through Trip.com support. We made the most of it upon check-out. In the room we were assigned, we discovered in the evening that there was no hot water. The next day, we were moved to another room. The onsen are wonderful – there are communal ones, which we went in the evening and were alone in, and there are private ones – they are small and more like jacuzzis. We liked the communal ones better. They provide yukatas and a basket – very convenient for the baths. The Japanese-style breakfasts are unusual. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are available almost all day, and coffee machines are located on all floors and are available at any time. There is a grocery store nearby. There are many good restaurants near the station."

"This hotel offers a luxurious Japanese-style stay with a dinner and breakfast plan. Both meals are high-quality Japanese cuisine, and you can also reserve a private onsen (hot spring). If you're visiting Hakone for a two-day, one-night trip, I highly recommend staying here. On your second day, you can take a bus directly to Togendai to catch the pirate ship and the Hakone Ropeway to Owakudani."

"This was my third stay here. Last time I stayed for about a week, but this time it was just two nights. I appreciate the casual atmosphere more than a luxurious one, which I think is a good thing (even though it's a bit pricey for me). The building, rooms, and location truly offer an experience and an escape that's worth more than the price. My only suggestion for improvement is regarding the restaurant's dinner menu, which only offers wood-fired dishes and French courses. If there were à la carte options or individual dishes, solo travelers like myself could enjoy the food more. The taste was good, though I understand preferences vary. As for service, the plates were cleared a bit too quickly – it felt like they wanted me to leave sooner. While not all foreign staff were problematic, there were times when language barriers made for unpleasant experiences. However, the Japanese staff were consistently wonderful, providing excellent service and kindness. I was particularly impressed by a staff member named Kondo; I'd try to poach them for my own company! Overall, it was another great stay, thank you! And I was pleasantly surprised to see a deer in the backyard, haha."
