Sangat mudah untuk ke Ginza, Shinjuku, Shibuya, malah Kamakura. Kami menempah bilik kembar, dan bilik hotel boleh dikatakan luas untuk ukuran Tokyo. Pilihan sarapan pagi juga banyak. Lorong-lorong di sekitar hotel mempunyai banyak izakaya dan pelbagai restoran, serta pusat membeli-belah kecil dan kedai ubat. Kami menginap di sini selama 5 malam berturut-turut dan rasanya agak bagus. 👍

Location is good. Small local grocery store near by. Room is clean. Services at front desk are professional. It only cleans the room after 3 consecutive nights but will give you clean towel every day.
However the checkin time is 15:00 and checkout time is 10:00. It won’t allow you to check in early for free even if they have room. And hotel wants you to pay 1100 yen per hour even if you request to let you check out a bit late. Is this a Japan thing ? For reference Many hotels in Asia checkout time is 11:00AM or alter and checkin time is 14:00 or so.
I would not choose this hotel again if there is other choice because of its checkin/checkout policy.

Great hotel in a great location. You can walk to both JR and tokyo metro within 10 minutes. The area around the hotel is full of convenient stores, restaurant, and supermarket. There is also a Donki mall nearby as well. Even though the room is a bit small but it is compact and comfy. Microwave and chopsticks are available in the lobby. You can also lend a variety of items from the lobby too. You can also store your luggage at the hotel after you checked out. Overall great experience staying here!

Booked 2 separate rooms, and it was perfect for a solo traveller. Though it can be squeezy for a couple! However, the close proximity of Gotanda Station to the hotel was amazing, and it even has elevators and lifts for our luggage too! The hotel has multiple hidden gems of food and restaurants nearby at very affordable prices! Staff were friendly and housekeeping was perfect, there are a few noises from the train station of its announcements and trains passing by, but it didn't bother me much. Last note is that there is no carpark in the hotel but a parking slot just 2 roads down about a walking distance of 5 mins.
Overall it was a great place to stay and I would definitely come back since it's located 12-15 mins away from Shibuya!

Well was very reluctant to book the stay so I booked 2 nights.
Firstly the location was good as it is very near to big district like Shibuya, Shinjuku. Gotanda is new to me slightly quieter. Cleanliness was good, well maintain maybe it was quite new.
I don’t like the part where by we need to check out at 11pm and check in again at 3pm it was inconvenient when there were people staying more than a night.
Anyway it was ok overall.

退房的時候打掃人員就把所有的毛巾丟在公用走廊，感覺不太舒服
周圍離地鐵站很近，是優點，還有旁邊有個烏龍面，還蠻好吃的，以及有一家便利店
但是這邊的空間非常小，而且從1樓上去要到電梯的地方，不是要往下走，就是要往上走，有很多的臺階，對於有行李的旅客是非常不方便，要自己抬，這一點很困擾
洗澡的地方浴室非常窄小
櫃臺人員雖然服務態度很好，但是英文很差，而且規定很強硬，就算你入住時間已經快天亮了，也不能延長退房一點點時間，而且退房的時間非常早是早上10點

This place was great for a short two day trip! Perfect for a solo traveler, and super easy to check into to. It's right next to Shinagawa station which makes it very easy to get around. Lots of food options around as well!

This hotel is very near to Meguro station, just walk for 2-3 minutes from the station (East exit), it's very easy to commute by JR Yamanote line or subway Mita line. There are many restaurants and convenient stores nearby the hotel, so it's very convenient. The check-in and check-out is by self service. You need to register with your passport to get the digital key number to access the door. The room is very clean and good bed, I really enjoy sleeping at night. It's very good 😊

I had a really pleasant stay overall. The hotel’s location is definitely one of its strongest points—very convenient and easy to get around, with plenty of restaurants, shops, and transportation options nearby. It made exploring the area much more enjoyable and efficient.
The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Housekeeping did a great job, and everything felt neat and in good condition throughout my stay. The bed was comfortable, and the room size was reasonable for the area.
The staff were friendly, polite, and always willing to help when needed, which added to the overall positive experience. Check-in and check-out were smooth and hassle-free.
Overall, it was a solid stay with good value for money. I would definitely consider coming back and would recommend this hotel to others looking for a convenient and comfortable place to stay.

PPengguna TetamuWe loved this hotel so much! The staff and the location was superb, 10/10 would recommend here. Incredibly helpful staff members who would go out of their way to help you and they even assisted us forward our luggage from Tokyo to Kyoto at ease. On top of that, the location was rly good as it was just right next to the station. The rooms were a tad bit small but it’s Tokyo after all. Really recommend.

The subway entrance of Higashi Ginza station is nearly right in front to the hotel front door so you can access to several tourist locations near grey line or deep pink line easily. I realized hotel in Tokyo do not have hotpublic bath but this hotel has one!! You can also check how crowded the bath is from your room through TV monitor. The hotel offers Happy Hour service where you can enjoy free flow of sake, wine, beverages and simple snacks like dried fruits and chips from 5pm to 9pm. Hoteliers are all very kind and helping which made overall experience at this hotel incredible!

MmtmlCleaning is chargeable at 1.5k yen per clean. Otherwise no cleaning whatsoever - but they do give you new towels and a trash bag daily (hung on your door knob).
Breakfast is pretty cute and homely - I liked it when I tried it at a different province, so I rebooked dormy inn.
They have a luggage scale at level 2, so very convenient if you have been shopping like crazy. The shopping street around the area is pretty interesting, and I love uneo park.
However, some pretty strange stuff during my stay:
1. They insisted on entering my room for an ”inspection” but didn't specify why. When I called to ask, they said it was a bedframe inspection. As a solo female traveler my preference is not to let random people into my room, especially if they're not going to clean after these external people enter, but reception said they couldn't wait until my stay was over a few days later. When I came back to the room, my blanket was shifted and untucked entirely from one side, and my electronics were moved around.
2. A bug appeared on my sink mirror, so I gave feedback to the hotel staff as mini bugs means there's more bugs, and suggested that they fumigate. They said ”oh... sorry” suddenly all proceeded to look away from me and pretend I didn't exist, which was super weird treatment, and very rude lol. I didn't even ask them to change my room, the point is that these bugs are likely to have infestations, and if I came back in another trip to this hotel, I would not like to see more. They didn't even bother asking me what floor I was on, so 100% they don't seem to have any intention of dealing with this. Very weird and poor behaviour - I think it was too much to expect Onyado Nono service in Dormy Inn, so I don't think I will come back.

The hotel offers a welcome drink available anytime, and there is a separate onsen for men and women. In the evening at 6:00 PM, there is a free happy hour with drinks—perfect for alcohol lovers. My husband really loved it.
The amenities are also of good quality. If I visit Japan again, I would definitely choose to stay here—the price is very reasonable too.

PPengguna Tetamuemployees and amazing breakfast. They had many vegetables + yogurt + all kind of meats (I really liked the beef) - really worth it for 2100 yen per person. My only complaint is that breakfast ends quite early at 9:30.
It is very close to 2 metro lines (green and orange) so you can easily reach any place in Tokyo.
There is a non-stop 7/11 at the -1 floor (you can take the elevator and exit through the shop). It has a very easy to use and good exchange rate ATM.
The gym is like the typical hotel gym. Very small and with few dumbbells.

WWeiHooI have tried a few capsule hotels, this is by far the worst. My capsule was on the fifth floor, but the lockers are located on the fourth floor which is very inconvenient since the shower is on the eighth floor. There is a sitting area outside the capsule room which is an unsightly mess as shown in the pictures. The mattress is hard and uncomfortable. What bothered me the most is the door that supposed to shun off the noise from outside, made a loud noise when it closes. I wonder if they are not aware of it or no one complains to them. Imagine how many people comes in and out the entire night and the cranky noise disturbed my sleep. I hope the management will be made known of this default. I will never come back again.

Part of the design-oriented Granbell chain, the hotel opened in 2013 and expanded with additional rooms in 2016. It has a modern and stylish vibe overall, making it a good fit for travelers who enjoy a bit of personality and contemporary feel.
The rooms are decent—not particularly spacious (typical for central Tokyo hotels), but the design is pleasant and they come with Simmons mattresses, so the bed is comfortable to sleep in. What stands out is that the hotel has a very large number of rooms (reportedly over 400 in total), making it a mid-to-large-scale property. Check-in can occasionally feel a bit busy in the lobby due to the volume of guests, but operations run smoothly. Room types are quite varied, from standard doubles to loft-style rooms, offering good flexibility when booking.
Location is one of the more debated aspects of this hotel. It is very close to the heart of Shinjuku—right inside Kabukicho—so you’re surrounded by endless restaurants, izakayas, convenience stores, drugstores, and nightlife. Walking distance covers popular spots like Korean Town in Okubo or Golden Gai, which makes evening strolls and late-night eating extremely convenient. However, if you rely on the subway, the nearest station (Higashi-Shinjuku) is about a 4-minute walk (official figure), but to reach the major hubs like JR Shinjuku Station or Shinjuku-sanchome Station, it usually takes around 15 minutes on foot (depending on your exact route, and sometimes you have to navigate through the lively Kabukicho crowds). Room cleanliness is acceptable—daily housekeeping is thorough, with bathrooms, bedding, and floors kept in good condition, and no noticeable odors or mess. Everything feels clean and comfortable enough for a pleasant stay, but there is nothing particularly outstanding about it. The decor follows a simple modern style, facilities are standard (free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, fridge, etc.), and while functional, it doesn’t wow you. Bathrooms are on the small side (normal for Tokyo), but hot water is reliable and usage is fine. They also offer free loan of air purifiers or humidifiers, which is a nice small touch.
Other minor highlights include the rooftop terrace (great for night views or a drink on clear evenings), a café, and a bar with decent atmosphere. Breakfast is an additional charge, but with so many dining options nearby, skipping the hotel breakfast is never an issue.
In summary, Shinjuku Granbell Hotel isn’t a top-tier luxury property, but if you’re looking for a lively Shinjuku location, moderate design appeal, clean and practical rooms, and surroundings full of energy and food options at a mid-range budget, it’s a solid and pragmatic choice. The large number of rooms means availability tends to be reliable. While the walk to major stations takes about 15 minutes, for anyone wanting to fully immerse in Shinjuku’s nightlife and buzz, that actually becomes an advantage. Overall value for money is above average. Recommended for first-time Shinjuku visitors who want a fun, convenient, and comfortable base without breaking the bank!

BBep SumangIt was a nice experience staying at Hotel Centurion Ueno. The location is very convenient, with train stations nearby and a convenience store just across the lot. There are also several restaurants in the area, as well as easy access to Ueno Park, Ueno Zoo, and the Ameyoko street market. The room is small but can accommodate two average-built persons. Although the hotel was under renovation at the time, overall it was still an awesome stay, and I give it a 👍👍.

Except you cant stay over the day its just for sleeping, showering and then you can leave it ln daytime, leave your stuff, as they clean and restrict the sleeping area. Otherwise it was kind of an all inclusive experience and did have a clean and nice washroom, as well as all round service. But it was a bit loud in the morning, the cleaning stuff rummages around exactly in front of the bed, talking, making noise cleaining beds 2 hours before check out.
