Hotel berhampiran Plaza Unga, Otaru

"Kakitangan di kaunter penerimaan tetamu fasih berbahasa Inggeris, itu bagus. Sth dramatik berlaku selepas saya mendaftar masuk. Entah bagaimana beg pakaian saya tidak boleh dibuka, walaupun saya tahu nombor kuncinya. Jadi saya terpaksa menelefon penerimaan untuk mendapatkan bantuan, nasib baik mereka mempunyai alat untuk membuka beg pakaian, tetapi saya diberitahu untuk menunggu kerana orang lain menggunakannya dan saya sepatutnya dipanggil selepas penerimaan alat itu. Menunggu sepanjang malam, tanpa panggilan telefon, dan terpaksa keluar keesokan paginya dengan beg pakaian saya yang rosak. Jadi jika anda mendapati beg pakaian anda tidak boleh dibuka, pergi cari penerimaan dengan segera atau anda mungkin tidak berpeluang untuk menggunakan alat itu, haha"

"Fantastic hotel, I lost my wallet and front desk staff requested housing keeping staff to search my room again after checked out. The housekeeping staff manage to find my wallet and return it to me. I am so glad that this is a trust worth it hotel, I will go back next year again."

"The hotel is new and modern, and its location directly opposite the Otaru Canal is convenient for sight seeing. The breakfast was delicious, and the onsen facilities were well-maintained. However, a serious lapse in basic operational standards significantly impacted my stay. I was assigned a room that was both unlocked and had not been cleaned. This is an unacceptable level of oversight for any hotel. What was even more disappointing was the lack of accountability from the front desk. There was no sincere apology or meaningful recovery effort to address the situation. While the property itself has strong potential, this incident raises concerns about overall quality control and staff professionalism. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and implements improvements to prevent similar occurrences in the future."

"I had a wonderful stay at OMO5 Otaru. The hotel strikes a great balance between modern comfort and Otaru’s historic charm, with beautifully designed and up-to-date interiors. The room was spotless, well-maintained, and thoughtfully laid out, making it a comfortable place to unwind. The facilities were excellent and there are little touches that encourage guests to explore Otaru. The carpark was however very limited (6 lots) and we were directed to the tourist carpark about 10min walk away. Every staff member I interacted with was warm and professional. Combined with its convenient location within walking distance of the Otaru Canal, shopping streets, and many restaurants, OMO5 Otaru is an excellent base for exploring the city. I would gladly stay here again on my next visit."

"As we arrive late, we are happy with the price and location plus free parking. Really value for money if you just need a place to sleep. Contactless check in, electronics Lady boss is friendly. If the bed condition(quality) can be upgraded will be perfect. (Didn’t get chance to take a room photo, use the nearby place for info)"

"Honestly the only praise to give to this hotel is the staff attitude and the location which is near the canal. The staffs were-Helpful and dedicated .  I can accept the hotel is old and not so spacious. But one thing I really can’t take it is the level of the bathroom. I can’t understand why the level is so high. We need to step a big leap to climb in order to get into the bathroom. Also to get into the bathtub to stand to shower was dangerous too. It was unbelievable deep. I almost fell.  This hotel is really not suitable for elderly people. And need to pay extra careful attention when you climb to the bathroom and to the bathtub. Sometimes I do not understand why can’t just list out that you would need to collect onsen tax. If I know I need to pay for that I would not want to choose this hotel. Because I do not go for the onsen."

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our family had a wonderful stay at UNWIND Hotel Sapporo. The room was spacious, comfortable, and perfect for our family. We loved the cozy atmosphere and the friendly, helpful staff. The breakfast was delicious and a great way to start each day. We also enjoyed the free wine service in the evening, which was a lovely touch and made our stay feel even more special. Parking was convenient and reasonably priced at JPY 1,500 per night, making it easy for us to explore Hokkaido by car. Overall, our family loved this hotel and would happily stay here again. Highly recommended for families and travelers with a rental car!"

"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. We are a family of 2 adults and 2 children, and the room was perfect for us. The room had 4 beds and windows, which made it spacious, bright, and comfortable. The hotel is in a very good location, making it convenient to get around and visit nearby attractions. The beds were comfortable, and the room was clean and cozy. We especially enjoyed the bathtub. It was a great way to relax after a long day, and our children loved it as well. Overall, we really liked this hotel and had a pleasant stay. We would definitely recommend it to families looking for a comfortable hotel in a good location."

"This hotel is impressive, with great location (just opposite JR otaru station) and awesome onsen. The onsen is amazing. Indoor, there's a sauna, 2 hot pools and 1 cold pool. There are 2 additional hot pools outdoor. If you have a tattoo, you can ask the reception for tattoo stickers. The view is also beautiful. Will stay in this hotel again if i ever come back to otaru."

"I had a great stay at this hotel. The room was spacious and included two bottles of water, coffee, and tea. While the view overlooked a blank space behind the building, the quality of the bed and pillows was excellent. I found the bathroom to be slightly larger than expected. The reception area was spacious, and the staff were friendly and spoke English, which made communication easy. There were two breakfast options available: Western and Japanese. I personally chose the Japanese breakfast, priced at 3,000 Yen. The quality and portion were good. The hotel is conveniently located within a 10-minute walk from Otaru JR Station, as well as Sakaimachi Hondori Street and Otaru Canal. Additionally, there is a convenience store directly across the street, along with several night restaurants. I did find the price a bit high, possibly due to the Otaru Snow Light Path Festival taking place during my stay. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for its comfort and location."
