NNry956A beautiful serendipitous spot to relax. Staff are all friendly and have high service mindset. I asked for Khao Soi which is not on menu and they did it for me. Surprisingly the dish was so delicious, one of good Khao Soi bowls I had. All details in the hotel are so well-curated. A location is good, nearby Wat U-mong which is nice to visit by walking. Not too far to go to center of a city. Lovely experience staying there.

NninemilAmazing hotel, tucked away behind the main ring road around Chiang Mai old town.
Clean, pleasant staff, great services, amazing restaurant, chill vibes, and good access to everything you'd want to do in the city.
A really, really enjoyable stay that we'll almost certainly repeat this year, and again in future years. Literally nothing to complain about.
If you've got the time, book the cooking class. Being plant-based, it's rare to have such a wide selection of meals available when eating out, and everything on the menu here is worth trying.
Great to spend time with the head chef and get an insight into how it's all prepared.
As a plus, if you're into live music, there's a little place called Troubadour, only a short walk from the hotel. An awesome way to finish off the day. Really talented group of resident musicians, with a wide selection of guest artists to catch as well.

PPengguna TetamuI’m here for a business trip, and I’ve booked a stay for two weeks.the service is excellent, and the location is also quite good.if you have any issues, you can call the front desk, and they’ll do their best to assist you. the only drawback is that it can be noisy at night due to the airplanes, and you might also hear the sounds of motorcycles near the road. overall, I’m quite satisfied!！

Also only one lift for medium size hotel waiting times for lift can be a little long
Finally would be nice to have carpet in the rooms the fake timber was extremely slippery again not fun
Rooftop bar very nice
Otherwise, it was a very pleasant Hotel Would I go again yes but maybe in a different room

·Lokasi yang agak baik, kira-kira 10 minit berjalan kaki ke One Nimman, sesuai untuk pelancong yang ingin menghabiskan masa di kawasan membeli-belah Nimmanhaemin Road.
·***a keseluruhan yang bagus, gabungan ***a Lanna dan kolonial, cukup unik dengan ciri tempatan.
·Mempunyai tempat letak kereta bawah tanah percuma yang berasingan, tempat letak kereta sangat mudah.
·Ada kolam renang.
❌Kekurangan
·Penebat bunyi sangat teruk. Anda boleh mendengar perbualan jiran sebelah, bunyi tarik beg di koridor, dan bunyi motosikal dari jalanan. Hotel ini tahu tentang masalah penebat bunyinya dan menyediakan penyumbat telinga pakai buang.
·Pancuran air sangat kuat, tetapi sistem saliran tidak dapat mengimbanginya, jadi anda perlu melaraskan pancuran air secara manual.
·Penggelapan bilik tidak baik. Bidai kayu membiarkan cahaya masuk pada siang hari. Mereka yang sensitif kepada cahaya semasa tidur perlu membawa penutup mata.

PPengguna TetamuI love creating reviews and social content — especially about ryokan-style stays and onsen experiences. There may be more ryokans in Thailand now, but when a friend recommended Chez Nij Ryokan Onsen, I was genuinely impressed from the moment I arrived.
The blend of Thai, Japanese, and French influences is beautifully unique. Even more special is the history — this was once the residence of the former Governor of Chiang Mai. The house is filled with antiques, charm, and character. Stepping inside feels warm, welcoming, and truly homely. The owner, a doctor and grandson of the former governor, personally cares for guests and shared meaningful stories about the residence — an honor I won’t forget.
Location-wise, it’s peaceful yet convenient. Nimmanhaemin Road is only 8 minutes away, perfect for dining and shopping. Even returning around 1 AM, the owner and night manager were still there to welcome me. The alley is well lit, quiet, and safe, with another hotel and a tennis court next door. A 7-Eleven is just a 5-minute walk away on the main road.
I stayed in the Studio Room with onsen access — incredibly private and peaceful. The tatami design is beautiful, the bed unbelievably soft, and the air quality excellent (my usual dust allergies improved after just one night). The complimentary minibar was a lovely bonus. Direct onsen access from the room is available in the morning only. During female and male sessions, the private door is securely locked and entry is through the changing room — a very safe and thoughtful system.
The open-air onsen is stunning — inspired by the winter sea of Hokkaido and said to be one of the largest in Chiang Mai. Cleanliness and hygiene standards are outstanding. The mineral water left my skin noticeably smoother and deeply hydrated, unlike other onsens I’ve tried. The schedule is very well organized, with separate time slots and thorough cleaning between sessions. I checked in at 3 PM and immediately enjoyed the women’s session. After 5:30 PM, guests are asked to leave for routine cleaning and to dry off properly to prevent slipping — a clear reflection of their commitment to safety and hygiene. Soaking at 7:30 AM in the cool morning air truly felt like having a private hot spring.
Breakfast is served as a generous full set — so abundant I couldn’t finish it all — yet the staff still offered more. Everything was delicious, and the chef personally came to serve and chat, adding such a thoughtful touch. In the evening, a complimentary mini tea set (9–10 PM) made the stay even more charming.
I wrote this from the heart to reflect the genuine care I received. It was absolutely worth it, and I’m so glad I followed my friend’s recommendation. I’ll definitely return to Chez Nij whenever I’m back in Chiang Mai.

PPawee Bank NontamongkoltornStaff: Mostly friendly and professional, except few. I asked the female staff for early check-in and left my luggage at the designated place. Then, she said, “No, you have to wait until 14:00”. Immediately after her response, the male staff approached me and processed it. He also allowed me to change room without any charge and to store my luggage in the room, instead of the designated area.
Room: For those who like 80s-90s vibe, this is for you, and me too. The AC is loud and cleaned. The ceiling, on the other hand, has strains from water. The curtain has a strain that looks like either blood or coffee. The wall looks unpolished, creating a running down impression of the hotel. The socket, TV, lift, and fridge are functional, fortunately. 2 bottles of water are set by the hotel standard. Please clean up those strains and walls.
Bathroom: It contains dusts on the ventilation fan’s cover. There is mold strain on the wall that could be mistaken as black mold initially. Please clean up it as it could evolve to such in the future.
Location: Not far away from the pubs, so music can get loud inside the room as it has poor soundproof. Unless you don’t mind the sound, or want to stay away from the city centre, go for it.

PPengguna TetamuPerfect location. Comfy beds. Clean and very nice room. The aircon was blowing towards one of the beds which was pretty uncomfortable when sleeping. Pool area, stairs, and the walkway between the rooms was dirty which was inconvenient when you have kids playing around as we have. The water in the pool seemed nice and clean. Other guests was smoking **** on the balcony which you just have to be aware of before booking if you can’t get along with that. Very friendly staff. The breakfast was terrible considering the price - stone cold sausages, overcooked eggs (no option to choose scrambled or fried eggs), no fresh juice, bad coffee, cheap jam, no butter for bread, very limited selection of fruit and vegetables… Overall, I would consider to book again but definitely buy my breakfast a 100 meters down the street instead where they also have excellent coffee and fresh juice.

EEy RonDorm room can be improved. My bed was stiff. Our bunker gets noisy with slight movement. Air-conditioning is fixed to one side. But the staff are friendly and there's swimming pool.
