YYannick.vdhWe had an amazing stay in this boutique hotel.
The hosts were super nice and really treated us the best they could.
At first the location seemed a bit away from the center, and without grab we were sceptic how to get to the center. But the hosts were super helpfull and brought us by car and picked us up as well. We even lend 1 scooter for an evening for free!
The room was super new and had everything we needed. Good bed, big smart tv (for resting day), great shower, good AC and small balcony.
We got homemade Vietnamese breakfast everyday. Even when my girlfriend asked for just fruits they made an amazing platter full.
These people were so nice and asked nothing in return. We wanted to pay for the rides but they refused.
The hotel is in a super new area and the streets are only accessible for people who need to be there, which makes it very safe as well. Just note that if booking a tour they cannot pick you up in front of the hotel, but just 3 minutes walk away, so no problems.

PPengguna TetamuWe stayed for 2 nights here in the top floor family room. We had a nice large terrace facing the mountain. The room was spotlessly clean, the mattress was good and there was enough lighting all around. Plenty of free bottled water was provided. The bathroom was huge with both a shower and bathtub. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, with pancake and pho and fresh fruits. The service was very good, whenever we had a query, we were promptly addressed via WhatsApp with the owner. The location is just right for us, who want to be a few mins walking distance to the main street and restaurant and is quiet enough away from loud music from the tourist bars and restaurants. We highly recommend this place for anyone staying in Catba. Thank you to the owner!

GGiangpThe room is starting to show its age, but it remains very well maintained, functional, and thoughtfully equipped. Everything worked as expected, and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful throughout my stay.
In-room dining was on the expensive side, but the portions were surprisingly generous and good for sharing.
The only downside was the road construction right next to the hotel. The noise continued throughout the day and sometimes into the night, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. This is obviously not the hotel’s fault, but it did affect the overall experience.
Other than that, everything was great and I would happily stay again.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the View Point Anh Quan Hotel in Cat Ba, and I must say it was a delightful experience. The hotel is situated in a quiet area, which provided a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring the beautiful surroundings. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the pier and close to Cat Co beach, making it convenient for sightseeing and enjoying the local attractions.
The room I stayed in was spacious and clean, with stunning views from both my balcony and the rooftop cafe. Waking up to such breathtaking scenery was truly a highlight of my trip. The staff at the hotel were exceptional; they were friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to ensure that my stay was comfortable. They helped arrange transportation from Hanoi to Cat Ba and even organized a fantastic day trip to Ha Long Bay for me.
Breakfast at the hotel was enjoyable with a variety of options available, including made-to-order eggs that were delicious. The overall atmosphere of the hotel felt welcoming and homely, which made my stay even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend View Point Anh Quan Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and pleasant stay in Cat Ba!

PPengguna TetamuFlamingo Bay Resort in Cat Ba has a fantastic location, making it easy to enjoy the surrounding scenery and nearby attractions. The setting is definitely one of its strongest points.
During my stay, there were quite a lot of kids around, which made some areas feel a bit noisy and less relaxing than expected. Also, the outdoor pool was under renovation at the time, which was a bit disappointing since it’s one of the amenities I was looking forward to.
Overall, it’s a solid choice for its location, but the experience may vary depending on what you’re looking for in terms of atmosphere and available facilities.

SShardaleI needed a place to stay when the ferries closed due to a typhoon and this was a neat spot to find on short notice. The comment I am making is based on the amount of money being paid for Vietnamese standards so the room has everything you need and the bed is comfortable, however I felt the blanket was quite thin. The menu for food was only in Vietnamese. There are snacks and drinks in the room that are cheap, but I was hesitant on the bottled water when I had seen it was opened already and I wondered if it was just refilled instead of being a new bottle? The reception staff were very kind, helpful and lovely to speak with. The breakfast was small in variety and the English Breakfast I got was what I feel a way to save costs by giving ham instead of bacon? Again only due to the price being paid did I expect something of better quality in some regards. However I am grateful for a place to stay when I was stuck. There are restaurants nearby, a very good western bar with good food and lovely local vietnamese seafood spots. It is in walking distance to the beach.
