The hosts were super nice and really treated us the best they could.
At first the location seemed a bit away from the center, and without grab we were sceptic how to get to the center. But the hosts were super helpfull and brought us by car and picked us up as well. We even lend 1 scooter for an evening for free!
The room was super new and had everything we needed. Good bed, big smart tv (for resting day), great shower, good AC and small balcony.
We got homemade Vietnamese breakfast everyday. Even when my girlfriend asked for just fruits they made an amazing platter full.
These people were so nice and asked nothing in return. We wanted to pay for the rides but they refused.
The hotel is in a super new area and the streets are only accessible for people who need to be there, which makes it very safe as well. Just note that if booking a tour they cannot pick you up in front of the hotel, but just 3 minutes walk away, so no problems.

PPengguna TetamuThe experience of staying here a month ago was very good, so this time I still prioritized choosing to stay here. Unfortunately, out of the 4-day accommodation, I encountered 2 days of unpleasant experiences. Actually, this hotel's hardware and renovation facilities are top-tier in Hai Phong, which is also the hotel's strength. However, I believe the hotel's core value lies in guests experiencing professional hospitality from service staff (including verbal respect and the ability to recognize whether someone is a guest). The hotel lobby service staff, as frontline personnel, need to work harder to improve. Otherwise, having guests' accommodation experience affected by service staff's inappropriate words and actions is truly counterproductive and wastes such excellent hardware. I hope the hotel can make improvements.
This definitely affects guests' choice for their next stay and their recommendations to friends.

To access the main road from the hotel, cross the parallel road, turn left and there is a short stair down to the main road. This stair is unlit at night, but still visible. It may not be safe for single women at night.
Service: the staff are really amazing. Always willing to help. Laundry service provided by the hotel is good (40k VND/kg). Although the breakfast is the same each day, the meals are delicious. There are tours to Lan Ha bay which the hotel can organise.
Room: the interior size of the room with balcony is same as the room without balcony. The room without balcony has windows that open to the stairwell. If you book this room, the air circulation may not be good.

PPhongTruongReally recommended this hotel for solo or foreigners. This hotel is new and the facilities are very good, they have pool and restaurant too. This is my first experience staying at dorm room and is better than I thought, I have a large, private space and the bed and curtains are clean. Just remind you to bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste, or bring your own shampoo because their's same as other hotel, not so good. Anyway, cant not demand too much for a price like that. Next time to Cat Ba I definitely come back here.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the View Point Anh Quan Hotel in Cat Ba, and I must say it was a delightful experience. The hotel is situated in a quiet area, which provided a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring the beautiful surroundings. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the pier and close to Cat Co beach, making it convenient for sightseeing and enjoying the local attractions.
The room I stayed in was spacious and clean, with stunning views from both my balcony and the rooftop cafe. Waking up to such breathtaking scenery was truly a highlight of my trip. The staff at the hotel were exceptional; they were friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to ensure that my stay was comfortable. They helped arrange transportation from Hanoi to Cat Ba and even organized a fantastic day trip to Ha Long Bay for me.
Breakfast at the hotel was enjoyable with a variety of options available, including made-to-order eggs that were delicious. The overall atmosphere of the hotel felt welcoming and homely, which made my stay even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend View Point Anh Quan Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and pleasant stay in Cat Ba!

During my stay, there were quite a lot of kids around, which made some areas feel a bit noisy and less relaxing than expected. Also, the outdoor pool was under renovation at the time, which was a bit disappointing since it’s one of the amenities I was looking forward to.
Overall, it’s a solid choice for its location, but the experience may vary depending on what you’re looking for in terms of atmosphere and available facilities.

The location is spot-on—close enough to Hai Phong’s cafés, markets, and landmarks for easy wandering, yet tucked just enough off the main flow to stay quiet at night. The rooms are bright, thoughtfully laid out, and impeccably clean; little details—good water pressure, comfortably firm mattresses, and reliable Wi-Fi—made it effortless to settle in after a day out.
Service is where the hotel truly shines. Staff were warm without being overbearing, quick with local tips, and genuinely proactive—everything from a smooth check-in to helping with rides and recommendations felt easy and human. Public spaces are tidy and modern, and the overall vibe is understated—more “well-curated haven” than flashy boutique, which I loved. Value for money is excellent; you get the kind of comfort and consistency that usually costs more.
If you’re visiting Hai Phong for work or a quick city break before heading to the islands, this is a place that makes travel feel simple—in the best possible way. I’d gladly stay here again.

Мы оставались всего на пару ночей, но даже пожалели об этом. Чисто, аккуратно, убирались каждый день. Завтрак с не очень большим выбором, но вкусный и можно найти что-то, чтобы не голодать. Бар наверху с небольшим выбором, но даже если коктейля нет в карте, то можно заказать микс на свой вкус 👌
Еду в кафе попробовали совсем немного, но то что приготовили - было супер 🔥
Бассейн был очень уж холодным, но чистый и не перехлорированный.
